After completing the lesson on Padlet, students will gain information that allows them to be able to
have clear understanding and explain how water pollution, air pollution, land pollution, and humans
affect the environment.

How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The teacher
facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be

Lesson idea implementation:

My students will complete this lesson through Padlet which is one of the 2.0 web tools. As
students work on the different tasks, I as the teacher will take monitoring answers and scores.
For students who are scoring low or are not getting a certain number of questions correct I
will pull them aside. If any students have questions, I will make sure they know that they can
ask questions. It is important for them to understand that they are learning and are not
experts in the topic. The students will start on number one on the Padlet, which will help
connect to their prior knowledge on the topic. Students will move to number two once they
are done. They will watch a video on water, air, and land pollution. After the video, the
students will move to number three which is answering a question that relates back to the
video. As the students submit their answers, the teacher will review them to make sure they
can gain knowledge and develop an understanding. The next step for the students is to look
at an example of pollution and be able to tell what type of pollution it is and one way it
affects the environment. After practicing the students will take a Quizzizz which will be the
way that I am assessing on what they have learned. The last step would be to sum everything
up. The students are to write an effect of a type of pollution and a solution. As well as writing
any questions that they still have about the topic. I will leave time for the class to come
together and answer the questions. The goal for my students while completing this lesson is
to allow my students to learn in a fun and interactive way.
Managing student learning:
The lesson I created includes Web 2.0 and allows students to be active learners. Throughout
the lesson there are several types of interactive activities for the students to be engaged in.
The students will work alone, then I will give them time to work with a partner. While the
students are working on their own, they will be able to see the other students' answers but as
they are working with a partner, they will be able to talk about the topic together. Both can
help promote students to think about the topic and allow them to dive deeper. I will give time
guides so that the students can pace themselves and know when it is time to start wrapping
up and move to the next step.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL):
My lesson that I have created will focus on Multiple Means of Action and Expression.
Students can display their learning through the different tasks I have given them. The
students will how what they know by answering the questions from the video, looking at the
picture, and taking the Quizzizz. I will give my students time to think and work by themselves,
then they will be able to turn and talk and work with a partner.
Reflective Practice:
After coming up with this lesson idea, I think my students will be able to gain knowledge from
working on the task in the Padlet. I was able to include different resources for my students
than I would have been able to do if I had just given a worksheet. Even though I just used
Padlet for my lesson, all the other Web 2.0 tools will help promote students learning. Each
one will make learning more enjoyable and engaging. I am eager to continue to use Web 2.0
tools in the classroom and include different interactive activities in my students learning.
