ACTIVITY 1: SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
1. Define educational technology in your words. Give an example of a potential technology

that you can use in your field of specialization. Briefly discuss it’s application.
 For me educational technology can be defined as a equipment or tools being used by
the teachers or educators to better deliver their teaching. I would say printed
pictures, Visual aid, and video presentations. This three educational technologies
can clearly give me big advantages to clearly deliver my topic especially it’s more on
visual tools, enable students to not just imagine but to see what and how our topic
going to be.
2. Identify some features of educational technology and how you can utilize them in your
field of specialization.
 EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ENGAGES STUDENTS – I’m going to utilize this
features of educational technology by giving my students a privileged to be part of
class activities they’re going to experience on their own but also with my guidance
and support.
 EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY EMPOWERS STUDENTS – in empowering my students
I’m going to utilize them by giving them a handbooks with a stories in it allows them
to read and understand. After that I’m going to give few questions that will test their
knowledge about what they read. In that case they’re going to learn how to read,
analyze and find the answer about what they read.
3. Identify some challenges in using educational technology. Discuss how you plan to address
those challenges.
 Budget Limitations, Lack Of Professional Training, Poor Network Infrastructure,
Resistance To Change, No Systems In Place To Utilize Technology In Curriculum,
Unreliable Devices And Software. For a teacher it’s hard to balance every work that
we have to do, for some challenges for me I’m going to address it by being a flexible
in all terms. I would be resourceful and creative just to fulfill what’s needed.
4. List down some technology integration strategies in your area of specialization, and how
these benefit you and your pupils.
 Using manipulates, and Implementing data driven curriculum this two technology
integration strategies would help me and my students because with this strategy we
can clearly see and know what is being taught, in going to built a lot of resources for
them to learn.
5. In your own words, discuss the different principles of using educational technology.
 Educational technology directly supports the objectives of the lesson – so as a
teacher we must utilize if what is the right technology that suits for the lesson, we
must use technology that also focusing on what objectives we are aiming.
 Educational technology provides opportunities for students collaborations – as
said as a teacher we must focus on the learners we have to gain their intentions and
attentions, if we’re going to provide some educational technologies it must let the
students to cooperate with each other.
 Educational technology adjust for students ability and prior experience – For me
we must consider the abilities of students we don’t have to use advance technology
that will make the uncomfortable, we must know their comfort zone enable them to
learn more
ACTIVITY 2:
1. SHOULD EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES BE FOCUS ON BASIC SKILLS
OR HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS?
- As a future educator we have to focus on basic skills because a child will
going to start developing their mind, we have to let them grow before
we proceed for a higher thinking skills. If we start to a higher thinking
skills it would be harder for them to catch up your lesson.
2. SOME EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY TAKES OVERMOST OF THE TEACHER’S
TASKS? IF NOT, HOW SHOULD IT FIT IN WITH WHAT TEACHERS ARE ALREADY
DOING.
- Technologies is an instrument for teaching to better deliver the essence
of teaching, it’s not the main goal of teaching we must think that every
thing that we used must not standout what goals as a teacher we are
aiming. We have to focus more on what we did personally because
we’re comfortable with that we’re more confident and focus when
we’re teaching with our own work.
ACTIVITY 3.:
USING ANY MEDIA, DEVELOP YOUR OWN GUIDELINES FOR USING

EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY.
- The technology must help you and your students to grow further.
- The technology must let students comfortable and do not let children to
ask themselves of what’s happening.
- Technologies must adjust about the needs and also about the abilities of
the students
- Technologies should engage for better learning for students.
