7. RESPONSIBILITIES
This method statement is for the Replacement of existing damage LV cable and
Installation of new LV Cable as per Order from client and shall be treated as a guide line
for the detailed planning, safety and execution of the work.
This is also to ensure that all information, material, tools, equipment, manpower and
adequate supervision are available during execution of this work and that work steps are
analyzed and all safety measures as per AADC HSE Regulations are taken so that work can
be done in a safe and appropriate manner.

The scope of works comprises manual site survey and installation of cable in existing
duct.
6.1 Survey
As cable pulling is inside the duct so cable pulling will be done manually.
When pulling through areas with corners, through road crossings and through
existing ducts, special care shall be taken.
Provide end caps for both end of cut cable and identification also to be done
To allow easy jointing & Termination works, sufficient cable lengths have
to be provided. Joint/Termination shall be done as per manufacturer’s
instructions by AADC approved cable jointer.
Testing and commissioning of the cables shall be done as per the Test Procedures.
7. RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Engineer shall ensure that all tools & plants are made available sufficiently
in advance for the commencement of work. He shall make necessary store facilities
to keep all these materials in a safe & clean environment.
Site Engineer (Electrical) who shall ensure that this procedure is fully implemented
including documentation till completion. He shall raise Inspection Request at each
step, where ever applicable.
HSE officer should ensure that all safety precautions are taken as per AADC HSE
Policy and are implemented accordingly.
Project Engineer shall employ Supervisor‘s professionals with good experience for
all installation activities, ensuring best workmanship while taking into account all
required safety precautions.
It is every site workers duty to properly wear the protective equipment provided and
obey all safety rules. He must also perform the work as described in the method
statement procedure.
