CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Connect the TOYOTA hand–held tester and check operation of VSV for fuel pres-
sure control.
PREPARATION:
ON
(a) Connect the TOYOTA hand–held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn ignition switch ON and TOYOTA hand–held tester
E main switch ON.
VSV: ON (c) Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the TOYOTA hand–
held tester.
CHECK:
Air Filter Check operation of VSV when VSV is operated by the TOYOTA
E hand–held tester.
OK:
VSV is ON:
VSV: OFF
Air from pipe E flows out through the air filter.
VSV is OFF:
G A00732 Air from pipe E flows out through pipe G.

3 Check for open and short in harness and connector between EFI main relay
(Marking: EFI MAIN) and ECM (See page IN–28).

2 Check voltage between terminal FPU of ECM connector and body ground.
PREPARATION:
ON
(a) Connect Check Harness A (See page DI–164).

Measure voltage between terminal FPU of ECM connector and
