EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE 5 TH REGULAR SESSION OF SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF BARANGAY DEAN LEOPOLDO YABES (PUG – OS), SINAIT, ILOCOS SUR HELD AT BARANGAY HALL ON MAY 5, 2024 AT :00 IN THE AFTERNOON. MINUTES OF THE SESSION:
A. Call to Order:
The Regular Session was called to order by the Hon. IRWIN M. ANCHETA Punong Barangay/Presiding Officer at 3: 00 o’clock in the afternoon who continued to preside over the session. Kagawad CHRISTOHER Y. DEL ROSARIO led the prayer seeking the presence and guidance of the Almighty afterwhich the singing of the National Anthem led by Barangay Kagawad Vernaflor D. Ibatuan B. Roll Call:
The Presiding Officer asked the Barangay Secretary to call the roll. Thereafter, since everybody were present including Mr. Talaña Federated President of Fishermen Association, Melody Baclig representative of Rural Improvement Club (RIC), Annabelle Talaña BDW/KALIPI President and Rodel Ines Chief Tanod, Different Purok Leaders Ms. Josepina Del Rosario (Purok Villa Flores) Mr. Ramil Laddaran (Purok Sampaguita), Zenaida Ibatuan (Purok Santan), Gil Concepcion (Purok Villacorazon I) Mr. Rosito Villanueva (Purok Villa Corazon 2) and some of the SK Kagawads a quorum was declared.
C. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous Session:
The Barangay Secretary was then requested to read the minutes of the previous session. On motion of Barangay Kag. Ferdinand Ancheta duly seconded by all the Barangay Kagawads the minutes of the previous session was approved as read.
D. Privilege Hour
Punong Barangay /Presiding Officer Irwin M. Ancheta greeted everyone a pleasant afternoon and also acknowledges the presence of different representatives of CSO’s, Purok Leaders as well as the SK Officials and extend his warm greetings of everybody for their efforts and support to help the barangay for the success in the just concluded Sinait Garlic Festival especially in making and or decorating the float. He also express his congratulations to the SK Officials and to the dancers as they earned the 1st Runner – Up in the Best Costume and Props Award during the May 1, 2024 grand parade.
As the session goes through Barangay Kagawad Geraldine Malupeng was recognized and talk about the activities during the upcoming Barangay Fiesta, wherein the Punong Barangay wants to tackle that matter during the calendar of business. E. Reading and Referral to Committees of Proposed Ordinances and Resolutions:
- Barangay Kagawad Geraldine Malupeng Committee on Health make a proposal to
enact an Ordinance regarding Solid Waste Management which was duly seconded by members of the body
F. Calendar of Business:
- Conduct of Barangay Fiesta
- Basketball Tournament, Boat Race (Bangkaton), parlor games and other Sports Activities. - May 24, 2024 – SK Prominade night - May 25, 2024 – Barangay Night - May 26, – The Search for “TAER LASBANG” 2024
G. Other Matters; - The Punong Barangay reiterate the conduct of FLAG RAISING CEREMONY, KALINISAN DAY, ZUMBA, HOLY MASS and other activities of the Barangay. - H. Adjournment; There being no other matters to be discussed, Barangay Kag.
