I. Course Code MA 205 Course Title: Legal Aspects of Education

II. Course Description This course introduces the students to the legal bases of education in the Philippine setting. It covers the analytical study of enacted laws, the
implementing rules and regulations of these laws, department orders, and other issuances, jurisprudence and other legal sources, that are directly
related to education and whose provisions affect education and to those who are part of the educational community such as teachers,
administrators, non- teaching staff, parents, and alumni of schools both private and public.

solutions to problems associated with the administration of the basic and general education programs;

2. Enhance competencies in preparation for leadership and supervisory positions in the administration of the basic and general
education programs;
3. Develop knowledge and skills in the field of education through research and extension; and

4. Strengthen the moral values of its graduates.

XIV. Course Etiquette Netiquette for Online Classroom:

During virtual classroom discussion, it is important to understand the rules of netiquette on how to interact with one another

XV. Classroom Policies 1. Regular in attendance is required.

2. All students who come to class 15 minutes after the teacher started the discussion will be considered late. 2 consecutive
late will be considered as absence.

3. Reading the required reading materials before entering the class is a must.

4. Intellectual dishonesty: cheating, plagiarism and “free-riding” in group work are strictly prohibited.

5. Take major examination such as Mid-term and Final Exams.

6. Submit requirements on time. Papers submitted beyond the scheduled deadline will not be accepted.

7. No makeup examinations will be given to those who miss one. However, when a student a misses a long exam for a valid
reason, he/she must present a medical certificate or an excuse letter upon return.

8. Cell phones should be turned off or set in silent mode before entering the class.

XVI. Consultation Due to this pandemic personal consultation is not encouraged. To ensure the teacher’s availability, schedule an appointment with the
teacher. Consultation via e-mail is encouraged as well. Please state your question as completely as possible. Consultation through phone
will only be entertained if the student introduces himself/herself and follows courteous language.
