Laboratory Activity

You are acting as an Administrative Head of a primary school in the province of Cavite.
Suppose that because of the refusal of the government to allow face-to-face classes due to
the pandemic, you will change the teaching and learning methods of your school. As the head,
you are assigned as the project leader to implement an integrated educational system.

Through these changes, answer the following questions:

1. Generally, what are the improvements in system integration and architecture in

delivering the lessons to students?

- By utilizing blended learning strategies and internet platforms, the new

system would enhance the delivery of lessons. Lessons could be uploaded,
assessments, and instructional videos more easily by teachers since they
would all be available on a single platform similar to a learning management
system (LMS). Additionally, these resources were available to parents and
students at any time, encouraging flexibility. Furthermore, we can
incorporate programs like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Classroom to
help with virtual interactions and communication. This configuration
guarantees that education persists even in the absence of in-person
communication.

2. Who are the stakeholders? Who are the different team needs to collaborate. Write
their specific involvement in the project.

-The stakeholders include:

School Administrators: Supervise and perform project management on the

identified project.

Teachers : Develop instructional material for the lesson, teach the content
through an online session and give feedback.

specific exercises. Parents: Keep track of their child and help them to guide
their child through the process. IT Department: Sustain the system, solve
any problem associated with the system, and guarantee the protection of
data. Government/Education Authorities:

Fix rules and give assistance. Vendors/Platform Providers: Supply needed

technology (learning management system, cloud services, etc.).

Teams and Their Involvement:

Admin Team: Oversee the identification of activities and help the project to
run efficiently and all progress to be monitored.

Teacher Team: Create web based content, familiarize with the LMS and
adapt your lessons for the system.

IT Support Team: Deal with the technical aspect of it, ensuring all the nuts
and bolts are sorted, and answer user queries.

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA): Moms and dads students members

mostly teachers relationship. Training Team: Organize teacher, student, and
parents’ meetings where they would demonstrate the use of the system.

3. What are the problems that might encounter in the future by implementing this?
Provide possible solutions for these.

Problem 1: Inadequate resources such us internet and gadgets for the

students to use in their learning.

Solution: Offer them as printed modules or negotiate with the local

government to distribute the devices. Make schools and other community
structures where the children can study under a Wi-Fi connection available.

Problem 2: Inadequate Information and communications technology skills

possessed by the teachers, students and parents.

Solution: Provided constant educational sessions to the users about the

functionality of the platforms. Develop a video training tutorial or a guide for
all users for all classes of users.

Problem 3: Technical problems such as system crashes or technical

malfunctioning of certain products.

Solution: It is recommended that an IT support and helpline be created

where the concerned team will be able to respond actively. Ensure that one
has backup servers or is ready with other offline leaning arrangements.

4. In creating the new developed system what are the methods and type of integration that
you plan for. Design the system architecture

Cloud-Based LMS (e.g., Google Classroom or Moodle) will act as the main vehicle
of delivery. Those include the use of Video Conferencing Tools between the faculty
and students for real-time classes like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.Content Sharing:
Teacher and students will be able to find lessons, quizzes, and announcements in
mid of the site in the LMS.

Parent-Teacher Communication Tools: Instant messaging or notification with

parents as teacher to parent messages can be integrated.

Assessment Tools: Computer and paper-based tests, quizzes, and grading

solutions linked to the LMS.

System Architecture

At the center is the LMS, connected to: Each of these will be stored in the database
for content. lesson plans, videos. This paper is on design of user Interface for
Teachers, students and parents. In synchronous learning, there is a third party
application to support such instances like Zoom. Cloud storage will continue for
scalability and access.

5. Provide the system paradigm that you wanted to apply in developing the system.

- The paradigm that be implemented is Agile Development. One of its primary

assumptions is the permanent feedback and the cycle of modifications,
which helps us improve the system during its usage. They can begin with
deploying an initial version of the system, take feedback and proceed to the
further development of the system in stages. In this manner, we make sure
that improvements and future development of a system occur according to
teachers, students, and parents’ requirements and demands.
