1. PLANNING INFORMATION
A. Effectivity
BD-700-1A11 aircraft, Serial No. 9127, 9130, 9140, 9149, 9152, 9154 to 9158,
9160, 9161, 9164, 9166, 9168, 9170 and 9172.
All other subsequent BD-700-1A11 aircraft are scheduled for the modification in
production (Ref.: Modification Summary, 700T800449).
NOTE: The instructions given in this Service Bulletin are only applicable to
the systems and parts installed at the time of delivery of the aircraft
or as changed by Bombardier Aerospace Service Bulletin(s).
Before you do this bulletin, examine all STC, STA or equivalent
action changes to make sure that this bulletin can be completed.
Refer to applicable governmental agency regulations and requirements and make sure that the work described in this
Service Bulletin is performed in compliance with manufacturer’s recommendations and/or acceptable industry standards.

B. Reason
This Service Bulletin replaces the refuel/defuel placard that is installed behind the
refuel/defuel door.
This Service Bulletin gives instructions to remove and discard the old refuel/defuel
placard because the text on the old placard does not agree with the actual
configuration and procedures of the aircraft.
The text in the second line of the SHUTOFF TEST part of the new placard is as
follows:
“WAIT UNTIL “SOV STOP” IS DISPLAYED IN PRESEL WINDOW.”
The text in the second line of the SHUTOFF TEST part of the old placard was as
follows:
“WAIT UNTIL “SOV STOP” IS DISPLAYED IN WINDOW NEXT TO EACH TANK.”
C. Description
This Service Bulletin gives instructions to:
– Get access to the rear of the refuel/defuel door,
– Replace the refuel/defuel placard, and
– Do the Close-out.

the authority of Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Design Approval
Organization (DAO) DAO NO. #93-Q-02.

F. Manpower
NOTES: 1. The man-hours given are estimates to help you schedule the tasks
given in this bulletin. The estimates are for direct labor performed by
an experienced crew and do not include the time for familiarization,
planning, aircraft preparation in hangar such as towing and
positioning of scaffolds, removal of interior furnishings, repainting,
supervision and inspection.
For more information related to the manpower estimates, refer to
SB 700-1A11-00-002.
2. This Service Bulletin may require consumable materials that have
specific curing times (refer to paragraph 3.). The accumulated curing
time is not included in the labor estimates and should be considered
for planning purposes before you schedule this Service Bulletin.
2 man-hours are necessary to do this modification.
Labor is at no cost if the work is done at Bombardier Business Aviation Services
(BBAS) or Authorized Service Facilities. For Bombardier Aerospace to pay for the
labor, this Service Bulletin must also be scheduled in less than 12 months from its
release date.
G. Material - Cost and Availability
The part given in Paragraph 3 is necessary to do this modification.
For Bombardier Aerospace to pay for this part, send an invoice in less than
12 months from this Service Bulletin release date. Also, the invoice will only be
processed if this Service Bulletin number is written on the invoice as a reference.
For those aircraft in new aircraft warranty at the time of service bulletin distribution,
Smart Parts Plus does not pay for the part at any time.
For those aircraft out of new aircraft warranty at the time of Service Bulletin
distribution, Smart Parts Plus pays for the part for up to one year from Service
Bulletin distribution date.

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES: 1. All TASKs referenced in the instructions that follow are from the Global
5000 BD-700 Aircraft Maintenance Manual, unless otherwise specified.
2. All references made to zones, access panels and/or doors, are from
the Global 5000 BD-700 Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6.
A. Aircraft Setup
Open the refuel/defuel door 142AR and get access to the rear of the door.
B. Modification - Replacement of Refuel/Defuel Placard
(1) Do the modification as follows (refer to Figure 1):
(a) Remove and discard the old refuel/defuel placard. Refer to TASK
11-20-00-000-801:
NOTES: 1. Use the procedure for polyester film decals.
2. Use the procedure that uses solvent.
3. Do not use the procedures that use heat or paint remover.
(b) Install the new refuel/defuel placard. Refer to TASK 11-20-00-400-801.
NOTE: Use the procedure for polyester film decals.
C. Close-out
(1) Close the refuel/defuel door 142AR.
(2) Remove all tools, equipment and unwanted materials from the aircraft.
D. Recording
When this Service Bulletin is completed, make an entry in the aircraft log and send
the attached Incorporation Notice to Bombardier Business Aircraft Customer
Support (BBACS).
