 Journal bearings are commonly used in turbine, large fans,
large pumps that operate at high speed and temperature.
 These types of bearings utilize hydrodynamics lubrication
,which means that load carrying surfaces of bearing are
separated by relatively thick film of lubrication that prevents
metal to metal contact.
 Journal bearings are coated with layer of white metal or
Babbitt material ,serves as bearing surface.
