About
They didn’t come prepared as they do nowadays. Back in the early ‘80s, I chanced upon a Copywriter, who spoke and wrote English with such mastery over the language, I was floored immediately. She was a Copywriter at Lintas and I decided I was going to follow in her footsteps.
In 1983 I got my first job at Drishti Advertising, with an awesome man, Raja Dhadha as my boss. It is he who encouraged me to step out of my shell to include what we called Client Servicing in those days. I was so scared, I wanted to leave. His faith in my ability to write copy was based on my published poems and short stories, but his intuition of seeing me in the Client Servicing role took me a long way.
