Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM para anggota Pokdarwis Saka Tunggal, di Desa Cikakak, terutama kaitannya dengan masih rendahnya jumlah pelaku wisata yang menguasai bahasa Asing, salah satunya bahasa Mandarin. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa kegiatan Pelatihan Bahasa Mandarin untuk Pariwisata (Mandarin For Tourism), yang merupakan suatu kegiatan kombinasi antara pelatihan bahasa asing (Mandarin) dan juga kepariwisataan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pelatihan bahasa Mandarin, dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahapan, agar seluruh materi dapat dikuasai dan digunakan dengan baik. Alasan dilaksanakanya kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu karena lokasi desa Cikakak tidak begitu jauh dari lokasi Pabrik Semen Bima yang mendatangkan tenaga kerja dari Tiongkok, dan berpotensi untuk menarik wisatawan mancanegara terutama wisatawan dari Tiongkok. The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak has caused every college and school to stop offline learning activities. For one year, online tourism learning has become a learning option, as well as a new challenge for students and lecturers. This study aims to find out the problems and challenges faced by students during online tourism learning during the pandemic. Respondents from this study were 67 students who took tourism courses. The results showed that students experienced a number of difficulties during online learning such as signal difficulties, lack of motivation to study, difficulty concentrating, and difficulties in practicing tour guiding online. The positive sides of online learning include; unlimited distance, prevent the transmission of the covid-19 virus, no need to meet in person. Local community participation in Borobudur Village of Magelang Regency in the development of tourist attraction Borobudur Temple is a process in which the community serves to be the stakeholder in planning, implementation, sharing benefit, and evaluation of tourism development. From the data of 100 respondents, the community’s mean planning and evaluation participations rate in the tourism development is still low with a percentage of 33.45%. Only the sharing benefit participation in Borobudur tourism development is classified into good category with a percentage of 61%. Local community’s low mastery of foreign language proves that they are not ready yet to welcome and serve foreign tourists professionally. Some of local people complain about local government’s lack of concern about their hardship in earning a living without government’s fund aid and trade permit, not to mention private sector competitors from other areas. Abstrak: Adanya regulasi Dinas Pariwisata Propinsi Bali mengenai kebijakan pengkategorian pramuwisata umum dan khusus menimbulkan permasalahan baru. Permasalahan yang muncul adalah makin berkembangnya pramuwisata ilegal (non formal) yang tidak memiliki Kartu Tanda Pengenal Pramuwisata (KTPP). Pramuwisata illegal tidak hanya dilakukan oleh orang Indonesia yang memiliki kemampuan berbahasa asing, tetapi juga dilakukan oleh wisatawan asing yang sudah mengenal pariwisata Bali karena sering melakukan kunjungan ke Bali. Permasalahan yang lain adalah tidak adanya pelimpahan tugas dari pramuwisata umum ke khusus. Pramuwisata umum di Bali adalah pramuwisata yang bekerja di tingkat provinsi, sedangkan pramuwisata khusus adalah pramuwisata yang bekerja di daerah tujuan wisata di tingkat kabupaten.
