Abstract: In this paper we study the one–sided Hausdorff approximation of the shifted Heaviside step function by a class of the Zubair–G family of cumulative lifetime distribution with baseline Lomax c.d.f. The estimates of the value of the best Hausdorff approximation obtained in this article can be used in practice as one possible additional criterion in ”saturation” study. As an illustrative example we consider the modelling of the growth of red abalone (Haliotis Rufescens) in Northern California. We also look at a possible extension, which we call α–Zubair–G Family with baseline Lomax (cdf). Finally, the potentiality of the new software reliability model analyzed by means of real dataset. Some comparisons are made. Numerical examples, illustrating our results are presented using programming environment CAS Mathematica.

In this paper we obtain some lower bounds for the unique positive root (the efiective rate of the bond, or efiective rate of an an- nuity) of the algebraic equation x n i n X i=1 aix nii = 0. This is a further improvement of the known results in the flnancial mathematics. Inter- esting numerical examples are presented.

In the context of reliability engineering, the Gompertz curve (or deterministic curve model) is, for example, used to assess the reliability growth phenomenon of hardware products. In this paper we study the one–sided Hausdorff approximation of the Heaviside step function hr(t) by deterministic curve model and find an expression for the error of the best approximation. We propose a new transmuted deterministic software reliability model. Some comparisons are made.

The determination of compulsory in area of the Software ReliabilityTheory components, such as confidence intervals and confidence bounds, should alsobe accompanied by a serious analysis of the value of the best Hausdorff approximation- the subject of study in the present paper. For example we study the Hausdorff approximation of the shifted Heaviside functionht0(t) by cumulative function based on the extended Song–Chang–Pham’s model [1](see, also [2]).We propose a software module within the programming environment CAS Mathe-matica for the analysis of the considered family of functions. We give real example with dataset using the new extended Song–Chang–Pham’ssoftware reliability model.

In this paper we study the Hausdorff approximation of the shifted Heaviside step function ht0 (t) by sigmoidal functions based on the Chen’s and Pham’s cumulative distribution functions and find an expression for the error of the best approximation. We give real examples with data provided by IBM entry software package and Apache HTTP Server using Chen’s software reliability model and Pham’s deterministic software reliability model. Some analyses are made.

he Kumaraswamy-Dagum distribution is a flexible and simple model with applications to income and lifetime data.We prove upper and lower estimates for the Hausdorff approximation of the shifted Heaviside function by a class of Kumaraswamy-Dagum-Log-Logistic cumulative distribution function - (KD-CDF). Numerical examples, illustrating our results are given.

This paper describes the four-tiered architecture, technologies, functionality and electronic services for the participants in the process of customer support with a software system for customer support - Integrated Help- Desk Center (IHDC), based on an object-oriented framework for development of distributed applications. There exist multiple solutions for customer support management. Many of them do not provide services to end-
