    The study of the disappearance of local languages throughout the world continues to spark the interest of linguists. Even though this fear has been raised in several Indonesian government initiatives, academics have completed a comparatively limited study on local language vocabulary in Indonesia, particularly The Panai Malay Language (PML), which continues to decrease in its usage by its speakers. The objectives of this study are to describe the features of archaic vocabularies of the Panai Malay language and to investigate the pattern of Panai Malay language revitalization. This study aims to describe the English collocation competence and collocational mistakes of Indonesian (EFL) students. A total number of  50 students from an English education department in Medan, Indonesia, served as the subjects. The utterances in TOEFL short dialogue test can be analyzed using pragmatic through speech act classification by J. Searle. This study aims to investigate the kind sand the dominant type of speech act in TOEFL short dialogue of listening comprehension test.     This study was aimed at investigating the extent to which recount texts in two selected English textbooks meet the recount text criteria and to find out the similarities and differences of the recount texts between the two selected English textbooks. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were four forms of recount texts taken from the two selected textbooks. Data analysis was done through analyzing, displaying, reducing, and drawing a conclusion. The data of this study include the generic structure, social objectives, and linguistic elements.     This study was conducted to test whether Semantic Mapping Technique affects midwifery students’ technical vocabularies at the University of Prima Indonesia. Semantic Mapping is a technique of visual for the expansion of vocabularies and knowledge extension by displaying in words of categories related to each other. The total of 40 midwifery students in the academic year of 2018/2019 was taken as the research samples by applying two groups for pre-test and post-test experimental research design. The experimental group was taught by Semantic Mapping Technique while the control group was taught by conventional teaching technique of vocabulary. The research data were then analyzed using T-test.     The quality of Indonesian nurses promoted to work abroad is greatly affected by their ability to communicate in medical English. A number of previous studies have explored the effectiveness of using digital storytelling in the foreign language learning process. However, research on the application of this method to improve communication competence in ESP nursing is still very limited. This research aims to test the effectiveness of using the Digital Storytelling (DST) method on nurses’ English communication competence. Using classroom action research design, with 125 nurses’ samples, the study proves that there is a significant effect on nurses' communication skills (grammatical competence, strategic competence, and sociolinguistic competence). The research highlights the potential of authentic e-learning platforms to motivate EFL teachers and students to step up to the challenge. This research uses descriptive qualitative content analysis as a research method. Data collected from English student book “When English Rings a Bell” for eighth graders of junior high school. The school was written by the writing team of the Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia. In conducting this research, the researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the method of research. This research consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were planning, action, observation and reflecting. Each cycle was conducted in three meetings, so the researcher conducted this researcher in six meetings for one month and three weeks. The data were in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data was analyzed the learning teaching process. The quantitative data was to count the students’ score in pre-test and post-test.
