Line balancing is a very important concept in Lean manufacturing. It ensures that operators are not idling but instead work effectively for continuous productivity particularly in two-sided assembly lines. In the study conducted at a glove making facility, cuffing task (of 210 mm length) at three workstations/side has an average lower speed of 23 pieces/min. Effective cycle time of 0.4 min calculated using heuristic method was well applied for line balancing. However, the idea of additional workstation was not sustainable to meet new customers' demand. Alternatively, a practical integrated approach was introduced as the solution. Load balancing of higher than 68 packs/min that streamed down the work cell could be enhanced by stopper jigs installation and operators' positions rotation (and repositioning). As a result, the value stream levelling (Mura) has shown improvement in the output by 27-30 pieces/min and 70-72 packs/min at maintainable fixed costs. The findings were evidence that the techniques used could reduce operational wastes (Muda) namely transport, stocks, movement, and waiting. Just-In-Time (JIT) concept as depicted by smooth production flow also helped to accommodate the cells production being carried out at constant and predictable rate. Hence, the process-based practice could effectively encourage a flexible Lean practice.

Procurement practices remain one of the success factors in oil and gas industry. Weak procurement performance is the main reason for the delay in distribution, growth failures, and delivery of goods. Current strategies for constructing effective supply chains have shifted because of technological advancements. Indeed, corporations' enthusiasm for the use of the internet and information technology in the process of procurement motivates researchers to examine the impact of electronic procurement on the supply chain and overall procurement performance. In order to optimize the procurement process in oil and gas sector, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) the largest energy company in United Arab Emirates (UAE) adopted e-procurement as the main way for bidding and solicitation of goods so that to achieve effective sustainable supply chain. However, it is still unclear to what extent e-procurement enhances the procurement of goods with the aid of supply chain. Based on this gap, the aim of this study is to examine the model fit of a conceptual framework that construct these three variables and testing the significance of correlations between e-procurement, sustainable supply chain, and procurement performance. The study employed a descriptive survey design and quantitative methodology. The employees working in tendering, procurement and evaluation committees, as well as the three-level of management, were purposively. Based on a sample of 376 questionnaires in ADNOC, we empirically investigate through using AMOS-SEM analysis. The result revealed that the three constructs (e-procurement, sustainable supply chain, and procurement performance) have significant and positive correlations. Based on this finding, it is highly recommended to focus on supply chain to foster the impact of e-procurement towards procurement performance of ADNOC. The outcome of this study provided an empirical evidence to the leaders in ADNOC and other oil and gas company that e-procurement is an essential success factor for sustainable supply chain and raising the effectiveness of procurement process, which in turn ensure swift delivery of energy products to consumers. Furthermore, the researcher anticipates that the findings and policy recommendations derived from this study will be of significant value to the oil company's stakeholders in general, both in the United Arab Emirates and throughout the world.

Wearable technology has enormous promise, particularly for data collection for cutting-edge health research, and its popularity has soared in recent years. This study aims to provide IoT-based wearable devices’ effectiveness and potential cybersecurity threats to these innovative technologies. Using the PRISMA-2020 (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology, we conducted a scoping study to understand better the application of inexpensive, consumer-grade wearables for health research from a population health viewpoint. Scopus databases yielded a total of 43 articles. Our findings show that academics and research participants are tremendously interested in this technology, but they are also wary about using wearables. These devices are still vulnerable to cybersecurity assaults such as data privacy and security in healthcare. However, blockchain technology is a potential alternative for integrating with IoT-based wearables to ensure data privacy. Furthermore, according to the findings, wearables have an increasingly diverse range of applications, including COVID-19 prediction, fertility tracking, heat-related sickness, pharmacological effects, and psychological therapies; they also include underrepresented populations, such as those with rare diseases. In low-resource environments, there is a lack of research on wearable devices.

Malaysia has established numerous technical and vocational training institutions to meet these needs. In Malaysia, there are currently about 1,000 TVET institutions, of which 506 are public. During the five-year plan, this number is expected to rise. Though theoretic discussion is still ongoing, the prevailing consensus is that curriculum should be viewed as a comprehensive teaching plan. It includes a summary of the goals and objectives of the content in terms of theoretical knowledge, requisite practical skills, work attitude, and supporting resources to be used during the presentation. Educators who are experts in their fields are the main source of high-quality TVET at the tertiary level. Although many of the employed educators had the requisite technical abilities, they were not afforded the opportunity to pursue professional training. There is a lack of competent technical and vocational educators in Malaysian TVET.
