In 1988, 35 years ago, I experienced the so-called kappa synchronicity, which completely revolutionized my world view. It showed me that besides the physical energy there must be another one, the energy of the unus mundus, or psychophysical reality (W. Pauli). If one succeeds in getting in touch with this energy, constructive events seem to be initiated which can change the course of history in a positive sense.

Depth Psychology, Quantum Physics and Synchronicity—C.G. Jung and Wolfgang Pauli as Pioneers of Paranormal Healing; a very amazing aspect of the two scientists.

As early as 1948, C.G. Jung became convinced that his theory was not the definitive answer. Thus it was above all the so-called psychophysical problem, the interaction of body and soul, which he considered unanswered in his theory, despite his postulation of the synchronicity hypothesis. Wolfgang Pauli was also of the opinion that in Jung's depth psychology the psychophysical problem remained unsolved. After Niels Bohr had told him that his field theory developed with W. Heisenberg was "not crazy enough", he postulated towards the end of his life that "something very 'crazy' is needed". In Return 2 I have developed such a theory transcending quantum physics and depth psychology. The Preface introduces this topic.

In a discussion, Wolfgang Pauli and C.G. Jung clarified their epistemological position regarding being and non-being, the philosophical question that has occupied us for hundreds of years. Based on the findings of quantum physics, Pauli recalls an idea of Aristotle that revolutionized philosophy, but then was lost again. He shows that Aristotle introduced a third category, potential being, in addition to being and non-being. This became important again in quantum physics, since in it, in the so-called collapse of the wave function, potential being becomes realized being. Pauli also defines C.G. Jung's archetype and collective unconscious in this sense, while Jung believes that these are being (and not potential being). Jung could therefore never understand the epistemological position of quantum physics. By excluding potential being, the depth psychologist remains a metaphysician who never grasped the quantum physical insights into incarnation at the moment of observation.

This text describes my epistemological progress in relation to my psychophysical theory since the publication of "I Cercatori di Dio" in 1996. Based on profound reflections by Wolfgang Pauli - he writes of himself: "Heretic remains heretic" - I have come to the conviction that besides physical energy another form of energy of the unus mundus, the One World, which Pauli calls psychophysical reality (implying that it is observable), exists. It is magical, that is, acausal and spontaneous and is behind the so-called Pauli effect, but probably also behind the mysterious UFO/UAP events. Natural science will be forced in not too distant time to open its materialistic world view to the psychophysical reality which itself is only observable in a deeply introverted process of altered consciousness - I call it the Eros consciousness.
My Dream interpretation method according to C.G. Jung and Marie-Louise von Franz. Includes some personal aspects of my method.

For the understanding of all my writings, it is crucial to recognize the state of consciousness of Renaissance man, which was completely different from our modern state. Beginning with Giordano Bruno, who was executed at the stake by the Inquisition in 1600, a consciousness was formed that was not based on the principle of Logos like today's, but on that of Eros in its most general meaning. Such a consciousness could see in a deeply introverted process the "inner view of matter and of one's own body", the corpus subtile of Paracelsus, the subtle body, which I call the vegetative body. Hidden in it was an energetic principle proper to matter, the "matter-soul", or the logos spermatikos, which Paracelsus called the sperm of matter. This magic energetic principle, which was also called World Soul, was repressed and lost by the mathematization of the natural science at the beginning of the 17th century (Kepler, Newton). The epistemology of quantum physics forces us to recognize this principle again in the present time. The Body-Centered Imagination (BCI) I developed, which I call Symptom-Symbol Transformation in case of illness, corresponds to the application of this energetic principle, and it serves as a novel healing method for diseases.

In this publication I show how a Merlin synchronicity stands at the beginning of my research on the unus mundus, the One World, respectively the psychophysical reality so called by Wolfgang Pauli. It also led me to my healing method of Body-Centered Imagination (BCI), a white-magic practice that excludes any intervention of the healer (an intervention that in my eyes would constitute black magic). BCI, on the other hand, is the contemporary application of hermetic alchemy.

The synchronicity at hand convinced me that I, born into a working-class family with no higher education, was destined to expand C.G. Jung's depth psychology to a contemporary kind of shamanism by incorporating quantum physical insights. The synchronicity told me that this should be done by writing books and articles in which I present the results of my research.

The synchronicity from 1997 described here showed my task to find a method of a medicine which is based on quantum physical principles. In contrast to today's usual "quantum medicine" (Deepak Chopra) it does not presuppose dubious quantum fields, but is limited to observable inner quantum leaps. To perceive these, however, the development of what I call Eros-consciousness is necessary.

The paper shows a healing method for somatic, psychosomatic and certain mental diseases based on philosophical ideas of quantum physics. In it, inner, psychic processes are observed, which are, like the quantum physical quantum leap at the moment of observation, acausal and spontaneous. In contrast to the so-called quantum healing (Deepak Chopra), it is not based on the supposed existence of so-called inner quantum fields, but observes acausal inner quantum jumps, which manifest themselves as spontaneously emerging inner images and/or vegetative body phenomena. These compensate the symptoms of a disease and have such a healing effect. In this way, the method harks back to Paracelsus, to his idea of the sperm of matter developing healing powers. Two examples of this method, based on empirical observation in analogy to the observation of the quantum leap in quantum physics, form the conclusion of the paper.

The Synchronicity with the question of studying at the Zurich C.G. Jung Institute In the late nineties of the last century, one of my colleagues felt the need to reorient herself professionally. I judge her typology as an introverted feeling type in the sense of C.G. Jung, and she realized this disposition as a professional musician.

After his forced separation from Sabina Spielrein, Jung believes he can put his deeply wounded emotional world in order with the help of Freud's sublimation. He begins to write Transformations and Symbols of the Libido, which he publishes in two parts in 1911 and 1912. He uses the visions of a woman unknown to him, Miss Miller, and wants to show that a hero myth is constellated in her, a myth in the sense of neo-Platonism, which essentially consists in a liberation from the symbolic "mother", i.e. the sphere of the drives. The contents of the drive sphere are to be ennobled and transformed into new ideas with the help of spiritual-creative creation. However, the myth constellated in Miss Miller is much more of a hermetic one, which begins with the descent into the underworld of drives. Thus, it happens that Jung in his interpretations constantly swings back and forth between Neoplatonism and Hermeticism; the behavior of meandering that is emphasized in the title of the book. He does not find a solution, which is why, as will be shown in the sixth chapter, he is thrown into a forced descent, into the "night-sea journey".
The above-mentioned manuscript forms a biography, interwoven with an autobiography.

After the abrupt ending of the erotic relationship with Sabina Spielrein in 1909, C.G. Jung begins to write Transformationen und Symbole der Libido (Transformations and Symbols of the Libido), published in two parts in 1911 and 1912, and revised in 1952 as Symbols of Transformation 1. The book circles around sexuality and Eros in mythology on the one hand, and death and aggression on the other. The psychiatrist continues thus dealing with the death/ sexuality/religious "complex," in fact the psychophysical Holy Wedding archetype that he already projected on Helly in their séances at the end of the 19th century and that showed in such an impressive manner in his association tests from 1902, 1903 and 1907. Since both were gripped by the psychophysical archetype, Helly was a perfect "hook" for Jung's projections. In this way he also projected the anima mundi, the dea abscondita into her.

Part 4: C.G. Jung's conflict between the neo-Platonic and the Hermetic world view Regarded from an archetypal level we can postulate that in Jung as well as in Sabina Spielrein the so-called Siegfried complex (John Kerr1) constellated in them does not belong to the personal unconscious or subconscious, but describes a process belonging to a psychophysical archetype, the constellation of which forces the ego to abandon a power-and will-possessed attitude. The one-sided attitude of the Logos ego is compensated by powerlessness and willessness, a typical characteristic of the Eros ego.

This is a summary of a manuscript that deals with C.G. Jung's life and work between 1895 and 1929. In 1895 he began to attend and protocol séances conducted by his cousin Helly, a Hermetic endeavor. Then, in 1899 he had read Freud's Interpretation of Dreams and became a psychoanalyst, based on a neo-Platonic worldview. In 1916 Jung formulated his theory; the triad of ego, Anima and the Self, the center of the collective unconscious. Though he was many times haunted by ghosts (that can only be understood with a Hermetic worldview) all his life Jung remained in his neo-Platonic theory. When he introduced the concept of synchronicity, which is based on a Hermetic worldview, he created a discrepancy in his neo-Platonic theory.

Wolfgang Pauli, the co-founder of quantum physics and Nobel Prize winner in 1945, was one of C.G. Jung's most important interlocutors. He has continued his thoughts in the field of matter, while Jung's theory of synchronicity serves the explanation of acts of creation in the realm of the spirit. Therefore, Pauli is for me one of the most important researchers of the 20th century.

Over time, C.G. Jung changed the definition of his terms several times. Moreover, it shows that until his death he vacillated between a neo-Platonic psychoanalysis and a (white) magical hermeticism. This tendency shows up more and more also in his life so that I finally developed a theory which goes beyond C.G. Jung. It is a theory of the unus mundus, the psychophysical reality, which emerges behind or even beyond depth psychology. The list shows my publications about it so far. It will be completed as soon as I have published a new chapter.

In the book C.G. Jung's Medium, Die Geschichte der Helly Preiswerk, 1975, Stefanie Zumstein-Preiswerk recorded the circumstances of Helly Preiswerk's spiritual experiences, which Jung had pathologized in his dissertation, from the teenager's point of view at the end of the 19th century. In a 1976 article in the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, she showed further details of C.G. Jung's Basel adolescent years, which were strongly influenced by spiritualism that Jung had omitted or forgotten in his autobiography Memories, Dreams, Reflections, 1962. I have translated the article into English and added a genealogy to aid understanding.

The Holy Wedding, coniunctio or hierosgamos corresponds to the archetypal event so intensively constellated today, which Christianity had repressed so incredibly strongly: The sexual union of God and Goddess, the causal creative superhuman principle with the hermetic anima mundi, the spontaneously, i.e., acausally creative world soul, the anima mundi. This union, which is always sexual, has the purpose of creating a new world that runs according to entirely new rules. The interpretation of the phenomenology of this archetype, which, I believe, will shape the 21st century—and therein lies the most essential content of chapter four—culminates in my interpretation of coniunctio as the union of the causal with a new, acausal (spontaneous) world.
The feminine-divine principle, the World Soul or anima mundi, which has been increasingly displaced since the introduction of mathematics into natural science by Johannes Kepler in 1609 (in Astronomia nova), spontaneously (i.e. acausally) creates a new, completely revolutionary view of the world, which during the 21st century will unconsciously, but hopefully also consciously, assert itself in more and more people. The causal sequence of the laws of nature will suddenly be interrupted by a spontaneous, i.e., acausal quantum leap, which will be followed by a new, completely causal sequence, the content of which, however, is completely undetermined.

In the year 1975, I dealt for the first time with a possible extension of C.G. Jung's depth psychological theory. I had a dream on February 14, 1975, on Valentine's Day, the day of Eros, a circumstance which I later interpreted as being synchronistic. On the evening of February 13, 1975, I attended a lecture by Marie-Louise von Franz at the Zurich C.G. Jung Institute. There she told us first that C.G. Jung was once asked if something else could exist behind the Self, the quaternary structure seen by him as the inner God-image of our time, contrary to the Christian God-image, the Holy Trinity of God, the father, God, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Jung answered that this is possible. However, it is meaningless to talk about it, since people did not even understand what he meant by the Self. When preparing my (unfinished) C.G. Jung biography 2 , I realized that his definition of the Quaternity as the Self, the inner God image, is very contradictory

After 50 years of studying the life and work of C.G. Jung, I feel urged to pass on my experiences to my fellow human beings. In the manuscript, I show my experiences with the depth psychologist's analytical psychology, and especially where I agree with him and where I do not. It has been shown, firstly, that for a feeling type Jung's theory has its limits, in that the archetypal feminine aspect does not come into its own enough, and secondly, that Jung's lack of understanding of the results of quantum physics brings his theory to its limits. To this end, I show how Jung's "personal equation" prevents his theory from being applied to matter and to psychosomatic and somatic diseases.

Wolfgang Pauli, the quantum physicist and Nobel Prize winner, suspected that today's quantum physics is incomplete because it can only make statistical statements about quantum physical processes. He therefore searched for a method for an individual treatment of this problem. He did not find it, but he worked out essential findings about it. This method consists in a re-consideration of the medieval World Soul, which, however, is only possible through a transformation of consciousness from Logos to Eros. In the article I describe such a possibility of observing transformation processes in psychophysical reality, behind or even beyond the Cartesian split into an outside (physics) and an inside (depth psychology), which can also be used for the treatment of individual illnesses and perhaps for the collective illness of today's world.

Dr. Marie-Louise von Franz: It is more than thirty years ago since Dr. C.G. Jung wrote that the mandala viewed psychologically is a God-image at the bottom of the human psyche. It is simultaneously the center and the totality of our psyche and beyond that it seems even to embrace the oneness of the universe. For a period of his life, by drawing a daily mandala and later by observing his patients Jung found that different mandala formations (stars, squares, circles, etc.) expressed different stages of the inner balance of the individual. Defective mandalas occur when the inner balance is disturbed.

Marie-Louise von Franz in 1972.:

If one attempts to deal with terms like ''Great Mother," "Totem Animal," "Tree of Life," etc. in a purely theoretical way, without having experienced their numinosity, then one does not actually know what one is talking about. These terms "gain life and meaning only when you try to take into account their numinosity i.e., their relation to the living individual.”

And she adds: A good part of current research into mythology suffers from the fact that this relation is missing, even that research which accepts the Jungian idea of the archetypes. In other words it is impossible to apply the Jungian theory or to carry on effective research in this field if it is separated from its basis in practical psychological experience.

And further: Those who do not realize the special feeling-tone of the archetype ... end with nothing more than a jumble of mythological concepts, which can be strung together to show that everything means anythingor nothing at all.

The preface of Holy Wedding shows how I had found my way out of promiscuous sexuality into the archetype of Holy Wedding. Since the sexual problem is becoming extremely intense today, I thought this introduction to my book Holy Wedding might be of general interest.

It became clear to me over time that my promiscuous sexuality was the "prima materia" for immersion in the so-called coniunctio, the archetype of the sexual union of God and the Goddess, which is extremely intensely constellated today. This experience of the Holy Wedding brought an extremely deep meaning to my life, which accompanies me in my life and writing to this day.

Throughout my life, I was intensely preoccupied with the life of the Swiss saint Nicholas von Flüe (1417-1487). Since my childhood, I wondered what the visions of Nicholas von Flüe could tell us modern people. Only now, in old age, and after I had discovered since 1996 the correspondence between the quantum physicist and Nobel Prize winner Wolfgang Pauli and the depth psychologist C.G. Jung, and discovered in it that Pauli was intensely interested in the visions of Nicholas, I began to suspect that more than 500 years ago he was already anticipating in symbolic form a mysticism which, as Pauli suspected, could link modern science, especially quantum physics, with a non-denominational mysticism and thus lead us out of the crisis of our present time. Since Pauli did not see the transformation of consciousness necessary for this task, he remained stuck in quantum physics. Marie-Louise von Franz therefore reproached him for failing to communicate his deepest inner visions to the scientific world. It seems to be my mission in life to make up for this omission. This is what I am attempting to do in the present manuscript.

In Holy Wedding Dr. Roth leads us on a pathway towards a coniunctio of the leading edges of contemporary human consciousness; physics and psychology. He addresses the “Holy Wedding” of psyche and matter as an issue of primacy not only in
the evolutionary impulse of us as a human species but also to our survival.

We are offered a precise language that enables us to navigate the dynamic, bipolar world of our logos mind and our eros mind. By understanding this we are able to wed our thinking and feeling, logos and eros or psyche and matter within us. Central
to this alchemical model is that when we achieve such an inner coniunctio it acausally and nonlocally radiates a positive impact on the world around us. In doing this we are agents of creating new and generative realities.

Holy Wedding is a very important contribution to the return to wholeness. Dr. Roth has illuminated the path to a hermetic philosophy that is neither time locked in medieval times nor historical analysis but is alive, visceral and extremely relevant to flourishing of the contemporary world.
