The research explored the integration of AI technologies with Islamic principles and their implications for religious, social, and economic structures in Muslim-majority countries. It used qualitative design, semi-structured interviews, and case studies to analyze digitization of the Holy Qur'an and Hadith, and AI in banking compliance with Shariah laws, focusing on lexical-semantic, syntactical, grammatical, and pragmatic issues. A few of the such AI-based Qur'an tools include KSU Qur'an عورشم( فحصملا ينورتكلإلا ةعماجب كلملا ,)دوعس Islam web, Qur'anic Arabic Corpus, Almonagib alQur'any بقنملا( ,)ينآرقلا Tanzil (Tanzil Documents), The Qur'an (Al-Qur'an )نآرقلا(-Online Qur'an Project-Translation and Tafsir) and the Noble Qur'an (The Noble Qur'an-نآرقلا .)ميركلا Islamic Fintech, which adheres to Shariah principles, is embracing innovation to streamline transactions and comply with the Holy Qur'an. AI virtual assistants like 'Aisyah' are being adopted by Islamic banks to streamline transactions and eliminate risks like leverage and uneven maturity. The regulatory management of Islamic FinTech includes issues like Islamic cryptocurrency rules, money creation, and eliminating 'riba'. In Malaysia and Indonesia, digital zakat distribution and classification systems are being developed using AI to accurately classify those in need and compute financial percentages for each group. Thematic analysis revealed that human-inspired, analytical, and humanized AI has led to its significant impact on various aspects of life, society, and employment. Nonetheless, AI cannot substitute for the profound comprehension and knowledge of Islamic jurists, alongside human reasoning and intellectual competence. Job displacement and ethical concerns of accuracy, transparency, fairness, and accountability remain significant challenges for society.

There should be a great deal of concern over the extensive and still expanding application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in Muslim life today. From the use of smartphones, drones, robots, autonomous vehicles and weapons technologies, the transformation caused by AI is significantly positive but much is still up for debate and contemplation. In fact, some Muslims may merely consider this rapid growth of AI as part of science fiction which is being popularised in movies. This incognizant view is dangerous because Muslims may not be alert to unforeseen AI impact especially when it crosses over Islamic ethical or legal limits. These interpretations should provide an appropriate context for Muslim experts today to rethink their views with regards to the transformative impact of AI on Muslim society. This preliminary study therefore, is conducted to gather Muslim experts’ professional views on AI related issues. Using a quantitative methodology approach with a cross-sectional...

Artificial Intelligence has the potential to empower humans through enhanced learning and performance. But if this potential is to be realized and accepted, the ethical aspects as well as the technical must be addressed. Many engineers claim that AI will be smarter than human brains, including scientific creativity, general wisdom and social skills, so we must consider it an important factor for making decisions in our social life and especially in our Islamic societies. The most important challenges will be the quality of representing the Islamic values like piety, obedience, Halal and Haram, and etc in the form of semantics. In this paper, I want to emphasize on the role of Divine Islamic values in the application of AI and discuss it according to philosophy of AI and Islamic perspective.Keywords- Value, expert, Community Development, Artificial Intelligence, Superintelligence, Friendly Artificial Intelligence
This research seeks to utilise Waqf, which is a famous way of giving alms (Sadaqah) in order to serve Maqasid Shariah (purposes of Shariah). This research aims to explain the method of preserving the overall Maqasid Shariah of Waqf and to guide the founders of Waqf to the best ways to get the best, highest, and most lasting reward as well as to describe new areas of Waqf that should be prioritized over others. The main research problem is on how to employ Waqf to serve Maqasid Shariah in contemporary areas, and this includes Waqf on artificial intelligence. The researchers adopt an analytical and inductive approach to extrapolate the goals and purposes of Waqf and to apply them to the latest contemporary Waqf, which is Waqf on artificial intelligence. Then the researchers searched for a way to employ Waqf on artificial intelligence to serve the overall Maqasid Shariah. The researchers have reached to certain results, and the most important amongst them are: There are priority to the hierarchy of Maqasid Shariah and we can start with the most important ones, and that there are important smart applications which through them we can preserve religion, life, mind, offspring and money that must be taken into account in Waqf, and the return of Waqf on artificial intelligence applications may be much greater than Waqf in some other areas.

This paper explores artificial intelligence (AI) ethics from an Islamic perspective at a critical time for AI ethical norm-setting. It advocates for a pluralist approach to Setting Ethical Standards. As rapid advancements in AI technologies pose challenges surrounding autonomy, privacy, equality, and transparency. To address this imbalance, this paper delves into the Islamic ethical traditions to develop a framework that contributes to the global debate on optimal norm setting for designing and using AI technologies. The paper outlines Islamic limitations for ethical values and moral actions in the context of AI's ethical uncertainties. It emphasizes the significance of both textual and non-textual Islamic sources in addressing these uncertainties while placing a strong emphasis on the notion of "good" or "maṣlaḥa" as a normative guide for AI's ethical evaluation. Defining maṣlaḥa as an ethical state of affairs in harmony with divine will, Islamic jurisprudence allows for arguments supporting ethical choices that prioritize building the technical infrastructure for AI to maximize utility. On the other hand, it also supports choices that reject important utility calculations as the sole measure of value in determining ethical responses to AI advancements.

Technological advancements in the twenty-first century, invigorated by the exponential growth of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, have ushered in a new era that provides many of us with amenities and comforts that were hitherto unattainable. But behind this progressive rhetoric of neo-liberalism, capitalism, and post modernism, artificial Intelligence development has also sparked an increasingly ambiguous ethical future, especially at the level of privacy, manipulations and others. This article provides a concise analysis of the concept of Maqasid al-Shari’ah and its relevance to AI ethics. This paper attempts to investigate the ethical contemporary challenges posed by the advancement of AI from the perspective of Maqasid-al-Shari’ah and ethic-based approaches. In this study, the qualitative approach was used to clarify the importance of Maqasid Al-Shari’ah and the ethics of artificial intelligence in light of the ongoing contemporary challenges. The article contends that Artificial Intelligence poses weighty ethical challenges related to privacy, manipulation and others which are vital values in Maqasid Al-Shari’ah. The paper concludes that ethical considerations should be incorporated into the development and usage of Artificial Intelligence. The paper paves the way future attempts to analyse alternative ethical paradigms for Artificial intelligence in general, based on a comprehensive Islamic ethic-based approach founded within the context of maqasid which can represent a constructive contribution to the worldwide discourse on the ethics of Artificial Intelligence.
The work under review is designed to serve as standard course modules; hence, the first section begins with objectives and expectations to be used as bench marks for measuring the level of impact on the reader/learner. The twenty-first century technological advances driven by exponential rise of artificial intelligence (AI) technology have ushered in a new era that offers many of us hitherto unimagined luxuries and facilities. However, under the guise of this progressive discourse, particularly in the backdrop of current neo-liberal late-capitalist postmodern world, AI development also has prompted an increasingly uncertain ethical tomorrow. This paper aims to probe the question of ethics by exploring the true ramifications of AI and interrogating its various ethical dimensions. It questions the essential goodness that is attributed to unstinted AI development before elucidating the ethical repercussions of AI advancements and the aptness of the current market logics and business models that govern the tech-industry. The paper next positions a holistic Islamic virtue-based AI ethics framework grounded in the context of Islamic objectives (maqāṣid) as an alternative ethical system for AI governance...
