This paper assesses farming eco-efficiency using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) techniques. Eco-efficiency scores at both farm and environmental pressure-specific levels are computed for a sample of Spanish farmers operating in the rain-fed agricultural system of Campos County. The determinants of eco-efficiency are then studied using truncated regression and bootstrapping techniques. We contribute to previous literature in this field of research

This study inspects the fundamental relationship between the exchange rate and the trade balance in China. The outcome shows that the real effective exchange rate and trade balance in China has no causal relationship. Though, seeing structural changes in two series, we got the result those both long-run and short-run associations using full-sample data are wobbly, which proposes that the full-sample causation tests can " t be relied upon. Then, using time-varying rolling window method to reexamine the dynamic fundamental relationship. The results show that real effective exchange rate has both negative and positive impacts on the trade balance in several sub-periods, and in turn, trade balance has same impact on real effective exchange rate for China. These findings provide no support for the existence of J-curve effect and Marshall-Lerner Condition in case of China. This study shows that it is impossible to resolve China " s trade deficit, depending only on the movement of RMB " s exchange rate.

This paper evaluates the four leading techniques proposed in the literature for construction of prediction intervals (PIs) for neural network point forecasts. The delta, Bayesian, bootstrap, and mean-variance estimation (MVE) methods are reviewed and their performance for generating high-quality PIs is compared. PI-based measures are proposed and applied for the objective and quantitative assessment of each method's performance. A selection of 12 synthetic and real-world case studies is used to examine each method's performance for PI construction. The comparison is performed on the basis of the quality of generated PIs, the repeatability of the results, the computational requirements and the PIs variability with regard to the data uncertainty. The obtained results in this paper indicate that: 1) the delta and Bayesian methods are the best in terms of quality and repeatability, and 2) the MVE and bootstrap methods are the best in terms of low computational load and the width variability of PIs. This paper also introduces the concept of combinations of PIs, and proposes a new method for generating combined PIs using the traditional PIs. Genetic algorithm is applied for adjusting the combiner parameters through minimization of a PI-based cost function subject to two sets of restrictions. It is shown that the quality of PIs produced by the combiners is dramatically better than the quality of PIs obtained from each individual method.

Oshwal College proposes to develop a model project for student-teacher evaluation entitled A
STUDENT-TEACHER EVALUATION SYSTEM. The project is an evaluation system
aimed at eliminating paperwork and automatically generates reports on the feedback of the
students.
By using a systems approach, the project will provide students to provide answers to the
questions related to the course that is being taken and the lecturers who teach the students.
Hence the results will be calculated and the scores will be automatically generated and
displayed to the board.
The ultimate goal of the project is to save resources being wasted by the college and save
time in assessing the lecturers, hence generating accurate results.

Background Nonlinear relationships are common in the environmental discipline. Spreadsheet packages such as Microsoft Excel come with an add-on for nonlinear regression, but parameter uncertainty estimates are not yet available. The purpose of this paper is to use Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods to estimate nonlinear parameter uncertainties with a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. As an example, uncertainties of two parameters (α and n) for a soil water retention curve are estimated. Results The fitted parameters generally do not follow a normal distribution. Except for the upper limit of α using the bootstrap method, the lower and upper limits of α and n obtained by these two methods are slightly greater than those obtained using the SigmaPlot software which linearlizes the nonlinear model. Conclusions Since the linearization method is based on the assumption of normal distribution of parameter values, the Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods may be preferred to the linearization method.

In this paper we examine the classical yield curve construction problem, using a selection of most popular methods available in the literature. We divide these methods into four different classes based on the type of estimation techniques: bootstrap-interpolation, B-spline based , function-based and non-parametric. We observe a natural trade-off between the goodness of fit and smoothness of the estimated zero-coupon curves and judge our models based on the most desirable combinations of these properties. By considering the bond market of the 'big' and 'small' country, we observe that models are also country-dependent. In addition, the comparison between our estimated curves and those provided by Bloomberg gives notable differences, suggesting the possible use of different input instruments by the data provider. Finally, our obtained results show that the most balanced trade-off is achieved by the B-spline based models.

Both students and faculty, often wish to have a way to considerably reduce or get rid of this waiting time. One solution to this problem is to have a system by which once the order gets placed it is directly displayed on a monitor in the kitchen. This would avoid the time wasted at the serving counter when a server takes time to deliver previous orders before taking a new coupon and placing it in the kitchen. Also one can have a facility for placing orders in advance so that his/her order is kept ready just for the particular time he/she chooses. The time spent over tendering change can also be reduced by facilitating payments via e-wallet.

Controlled experiments with chess engines may be  used to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative continuation lines of chess openings. The proposed methodology is demonstrated by evaluating a selection of continuations by White after the Sicilian Defense Najdorf Variation has been played by Black. The results suggest that the nine continuations tested represent a wide range of effectiveness that are mostly consistent with expert opinion.

Some new multiple comparison procedures are covered as well as some new techniques related to testing global hypotheses. New methods for comparing regression lines are covered and several new and improved methods for dealing with ANCOVA are described.  There is even a new method for determining which independent variables are most important in a regression model. However, in India, the density of pharmacies is higher in urban areas than that in rural areas. Bootstrap Method examines a data practical approach to illustrate the support applications and other Resampling methods. It can also provide a powerful approach of statistical data analysis, as they have more general applications than standard parametric methods. Bootstrap is a method which provides accurate measurements in the evaluation of a choice. This technique allows the evaluation of a choice distribution. In the case of supposed independent observations, it can be implemented by creating a number of new choices of observed data, each of which taken randomly. This article begins with a description of Bootstrap methods and shows how they are related to other resampling methods. In the meantime it examines a wide variety of application approaches. The article deals with the generation of bootstrap copies by computational methods which enable us the calculation of variance, average and quantiles coefficient; the evaluation of standard error, and BCA confidence interval. It also examines the applications of these methods in a wide range of problems and the rising assumptions and hypotheses together with evaluation problems. Bootstrap method uses statistical software such as R, S-Plus, SPSS to attain a lot of values in different choices. In this article we have used the statistical software R, which is a software that is 'free', based on the S language, providing the implementation of a wide range of statistical functions. This paper presents experimental results of the population which are taken into consideration to study the variance coefficient using Bootstrap Method by emphasizing the implementation of programming language. It will also present the comparison of experiment conclusions which are drawn by using the standard statistical methods.

A lot of intrusion and hacking events are surrounding the internet domain, bringing in a need for security systems. Intrusion detection system (IDS) is employed in the network to identify the attacks by continuously monitoring the system activities. The major issue for any intrusion detection model is to identify anomalies with maximum accuracy and minimal false alarms. An intrusion detection model is developed combining chi-square feature selection and LPBoost algorithm. Chi-square feature selection is deployed to build the optimal features as the network traffic data consists of many attributes. The optimum features are utilised by the LPBoost algorithm for classification of network traffic. An ensemble classifier is chosen as it typically outperforms a single classifier. The experiments are performed using NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB data sets. The results clearly show that the hybrid model achieves a higher detection and reduced false positive rate in contrast to other techniques.

setiap awal semester STMIK Palangka Raya selalu dipadati oleh mahasiswa yang sibuk mengurus
perkuliahannya, salah satunya adalah pengisian Kartu Rencana Studi atau lebih dikenal dengan KRS.
Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana merancang dan membangun aplikasi KRS online
pada STMIK Palangka Raya menggunakan Framework CodeIgniter. Aplikasi dibangun menggunakan
Framework CodeIgniter versi 3.0.0 yang mendukung Responsive Web Design dengan menggunakan Twitter
Bootstrap. Aplikasi ini bertujuan agar dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam pengisian KRS tanpa harus mengantri
pada loket pengisian KRS, karena sistem KRS telah online dan mahasiswa dapat mengisi KRS tanpa harus
dibatasi oleh waktu dan tempat. Data mahasiswa yang digunakan adalah angkatan tahun 2014.
Hasil penelitian ini adalah telah berhasil diimplementasikan sebuah aplikasi KRS Online pada STMIK
Palangka Raya menggunakan Framework CodeIgniter serta telah dilakukan pengujian terhadap hasil
implementasi tersebut. Berdasarkan persepsi 15 responden, yaitu 86% yang apabila diinterpretasi nilai 86%
tersebut terletak pada daerah Sangat Baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan aplikasi KRS Online pada
STMIK Palangka Raya menggunakan Framework CodeIgniter adalah sangat baik secara keseluruhan.
