India’s population is growing exponentially and there is an increasing need for the nation’s youth to become educated and achieve the love, wealth, health and happiness that everyone desires. India has a population of 1.3 billion and land area of almost 3 million square kilometres. In comparison to the UK, it has over 20 times the people but only 12 times the land resulting in overcrowding in some states. Over 70% of Indians live in rural areas in small villages and towns which have higher poverty rates and substandard medical conditions. Thus, people are relocating to big cities in search of a better life but with such a large country, it can be difficult to determine where are the best places to live for those looking to go to university and settle down.
To consider why some areas have more graduates, I have merged more data from the census of Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and housing conditions on a state level [5]. India has a total of 29 states containing varying numbers of cities.
The aim is to look at the relationship between population of states/cities with number of graduates and for relationships between housing and health indicators (housing conditions and IMR) with graduates.

With the foregoing, a tracer study determined the demographic and academic profile of teacher education graduates from 2017 to 2020 in a state university in the West Philippines. One of the foremost educational institutions to implement quality health programs is Centro Escolar University (CEU) and one of the programs is the Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSP). Each graduate is expected to possess Centro Escolar Expected Attributes (CEEGA) and 21st-century Skills for the enhancement of their professionalism and ethics to provide quality patient care and as well as the enhancement of their coping mechanism with the current global changes in the 21st century. The study aims to determine the extent of CEEGA and 21st Century Skills among BSP Graduates of 2010-2019 as perceived by the graduates and their employers. A Descriptive Quantitative method is used for the research design. Online survey questionnaire was
created using Google forms consisting of two parts which are the socio-demographic profile of the respondents and 48 items Likert-scale type of questions ranging from 5 - 1 visibility is utilized to obtain data from the respondents. The results show that from a scale of not evident to strongly evident, majority of the respondents indicated that CEEGA and 21st century Skills are strongly evident among the BSP graduates of 2010-2019 as perceived by the graduates and employers. On
the other hand, significant difference exists between the graduate and employer perceived CEEGA and 21st century Skills based on year of graduation, whereas the CEEGA is more evident among 2013 graduates, while 21st century Skills are more evident among graduates of 2010. Furthermore, a significant difference also exists in the graduate and employer perceived CEEGA and 21st century Skills.

Financial complication and social race are the challenges not only for individuals but also for families and societies. Every person is in trying to have some financial resources for adjustment of his/her setup in the modern society. Like other persons; students of higher education also think for source of earning because in the past they have been investing much more on their education career and now they are near to their practical life. So, interest and demand of job in developed and developing countries are increased. In current scenario entrepreneurship is a way which provides economic growth and jobs opportunities for others. Pakistan is also a developing country in the world that is facing unemployment and economic challenges. Therefore the rationale of the study was to investigate the preferences of university students about jobs and business. For these purpose 560 students of business management and economic departments from seven universities of Pakistan for survey and twenty successful entrepreneurs were selected for interview from the Punjab, Pakistan. Qualitative data of interview was analyzed by NVIVO-11. The tests of Word cloud map, word tree map were applied. Students’ open ended questions responses were analyzed by thematic analysis in MS-excel sheet. The results of this qualitative study found that graduates prefer job rather than business because of financial problems. Their families have limited resources of earning. They have not experience and proper education of business. Government is unable to provide business opportunities for them. Consequently they prefer jobs to meet their families’ basics needs

This paper is an assessment of the employers feedback on the performance of business graduates of University of Rizal System Pililla from batch 2010-2014 in the workplace with respect to knowledge and understanding, skills and personal qualities. The researcher used descriptive method of research utilizing the employers and managers of employed graduates as key informants of the study. The findings revealed that employers were very much satisfied on the performance of graduates in terms of knowledge and understanding of the job, general skills, specialized skills and personal qualities demonstrated in the workplace. There was significant difference on the performance of graduates in terms of positions and length of service as revealed by the variations on the level of satisfaction of the employers on graduates' performance in work. Relationship exists between the degree of importance of the four aspects of job performance and the level of satisfaction on the performance of business graduates. Employers placed a strong preference to the business graduates of the campus. There is no mismatch of knowledge and skills of graduates and what the employers are expecting among the business graduates.

This research determined the impact of the master's degree programs offered in the Graduate School such as Master in Business Administration, Master in Public Administration, Master in Management majors in Human Resource Management and Educational Planning and Management on its graduates from 2009 to 2013. Descriptive-survey method supplemented by interview was employed to identify specifically the profile of the graduates of master's degree programs in terms of age, sex, civil status, level of appointment before and after taking the master's degree program, monthly income before and after taking the master's degree program, number of promotions after graduation, and years in service and the impact of the CNSC Graduate School's Master's Degree Programs along professional practice, career development; and employment. Results show that majority of the respondents are in the middle age from 31-37 years old, married, mostly females, 6-10 years in service and have one promotion after they have graduated from their respective master's degrees. The level of appointment of the respondents has a positive movement from rank and file to supervisory and managerial levels positions. The Graduate School's Master's degree programs provided high impact on the graduates' professional practice, and on employment while average impact on career development.

This study was done in order to find out whether there are also mismatch, underemployment and promotion issues among graduates in Masters in business program of the university. More specifically, it determined the employment status of the graduate after pursuing MBA program in Lyceum University from 2008-2012, which include the university customized MBA program. It also determined the school-related and work-related factors that affect the graduate's employability and promotion and further assess the extent by which work values and skills provided by LPU contribute to the graduate's employability and promotion. Descriptive research design was used to trace graduate's employability and employment status of Master in Business Administration in Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas. Results showed that 96 percent of the Masters in Business Administration graduates from 2008-2012 are gainfully employed locally with regular status and are holding professional and managerial positions. The MBA course has contributed to the graduate's professional advancement. Communication, human and technical skills and the values of Love of God, honesty, love for truth and persevearance and hardwork are very relevant to their job. The professional subjects, curriculum and instruction gained from LPU-MBA are likewise found very relevant to their respective work.

This study was conducted to analyze the performance of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) 2013 graduates of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP). It determined the academic achievement in three subject components such as general, professional, and specialization and performance along the components of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). The relationship of academic achievement to LET performance was also looked into. This study employed the descriptive method of research which is a combination of documentary analysis and correlation designs. The data gathered were treated statistically using mean and Simple Correlation Analysis. The findings showed that the respondents exhibited good academic achievement, most of the examinees passed the LET in all the components. There was a higher percentage of passer than non-passer in the LET. Academic achievement is significantly related to LET performance. Educational Institutions should continue to seek professional development ventures for the improvement of teaching competence and professional preparations. Thus, come out with quality output in the success of board examination leading graduates towards employment.

All graduates of teacher education programs aim to pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and work as a professional teacher hence they prepare for it. This study assessed the College of Teacher Education in Batangas State University ARASOF Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Elementary Education 2014 graduating class' need and plans for review in preparation for the Licensure Examination for Teachers. It used the survey descriptive method of research with the survey questionnaire as the main tool for gathering data.With respect to work plan soon after graduation, the study found that majority of the respondents planned to work soon after graduation with a few of them undecided. Most of the respondents intended to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) the soonest time possible. Further, most of them would review to prepare themselves for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) in a review center but there were a few who would have a self – review due to financial and schedule constraints. The respondents were foundto have a good content knowledge in the professional education courses, general education courses and their specialization. The findings add up to the limited research on student's preparation and plans for the licensure examination and thereby can serve as basis in improving educational practices and the student's preparation for the licensure examination.

La investigacion se centra en mostrar las exigencias del trabajo estetico-emocional en el mercado de trabajo del teatro independiente de las y los egresados de la licenciatura en Literatura Dramatica y Teatro de la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (LLDyT). La metodologia utilizada es de orientacion configuracionista con un enfoque cualitativo y con aplicacion de entrevistas en profundidad. Los resultados muestran que las nociones romantizadas de su quehacer, que mediante componentes estructurales y subjetivos exaltan las condiciones de trabajo adversas e inseguras, llegan al punto de promover el trabajo gratuito o “por amor al arte”, dando pie a una dinamica precaria aguda.

Higher education institutions in the Philippines play a vital role in the economic, social and cultural advancement of the country. As they are entrusted with the responsibility of turning in graduates with employable skills and good attitudes, they experience pressure to enhance their curricula and improve the quality of instruction. This study was conducted to investigate the performance of Batangas State University ARASOF College of Teacher Education graduates through the feedbacks given by their employers as employers' feedback of teachers, which can generate evidence on the quality of graduates, their capabilities and performance in the school, and, as a consequence, the quality of education provided by a teacher education institution. Descriptive in nature, it utilized a survey questionnaire to collect assessment of principal and school heads of 18 schools about the level of satisfaction on graduates' application of teacher proficiencies in the areas of foundations, research, subject matter, learning and development, reflective skills, technologies, pedagogical and professional skills, assessment, dispositions, diversity, collaboration and initiative. The findings showed that employers are satisfied with teachers prepared at BatStateU ARASOF. Employers find the proficiencies explored in the study as very useful for an entry level teacher. When responses are compared, a gap exists between the employers' assessment of graduates and the degree of usefulness of these proficiencies. In spite of this gap, principals and school heads are very much willing to continue hiring graduates of the school of study.

Because of Yemeni’s high rate of unemployed graduates and the difficulty of graduates' transmission into the job market, this dissertation explores the role that internship programs play in setting for graduating youth and offering them employability skills, so graduates can find worthwhile employment. Graduates face many difficulties after graduation to enroll in the workforce. Recent graduates are lacking knowledge, practical skills, and experience which are mandatory requirements demanded by employers for recruitment. This thesis tries to explore the enhancements of graduates' employability caused by participating in internships and identify the required skills that are demanded by employers. Through a quantitative approach, the questionnaire used in this study consists of closed-ended questions that have been directed to both populations of the study. The first population was graduates from two Yemeni universities, Lebanese International University (LIU) and International University of Technology Twintech (IUTT), who participated in internship programs, whereas the second population was employers who provide internship programs for graduates. The findings highlighted the usefulness of internship programs for enhancing employability skills, maximizing employment, and developing graduates. The findings also showed that internship programs are crucial for recent graduates. In addition, as perceived by graduates and employers, the findings showed the most important skills that graduates should have to secure employment in the competitive labor market. Moreover, the researcher provides recommendations for stakeholders and future research.

Higher education has been positively linked with increased opportunity for women, including enhanced employability, increased migration, enriched cultural capital, and improved language skills. With the number of international students rising, understanding postdegree intentions is increasingly important for institutions, policy makers, and administrators. This qualitative study explored the postdegree intentions of female international undergraduate students at the Malaysian campus of an Australian university. In-depth interviews were conducted with students from a range of degree programs and data was studied using thematic analysis. Findings revealed that postdegree intentions were substantially influenced by other people and policies; a common aspiration was to balance career and family; postdegree intentions were not solely career-focused; and the students anticipated discrimination and inequality but were determined to successfully navigate these.

Senior High School (SMA) is the formal education system of intermediate level after the
junior secondary level that prepares graduates to continue their education to a higher level
(college). In a policy perspective, senior high school (SMA) graduates are prepared to
continue their education. Parents and the Junior High School (SMP) should prepare them
comprehensively and independently. This study is intended to describe and analyze the
various factors which become the references for educational success in senior high school
(SMA/MA), such as the awareness of parents to determine the education of their children,
the awareness of the students about the condition of a future which are full of challenges,
the quality of education at the senior high school (SMA/MA) especially in strengthening
educational character and the quality of workers as the need of workplace, including the
role of government in addressing these conditions. The studies obtained from schools,
namely accommodation and relevance of senior high school (SMA) curriculum
development to the needs of workers in a good quality industry, the principal has a great
commitment, availability of production units, partnerships with businesses and industries
(DUDI), have a good simultaneous cooperation between vocational high school (SMK)
and senior high school (SMA).

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are considered to play a significant role in developing, shaping and enriching the acquired education of students. At present, the spiral continuum of teaching-learning process is deemed necessary to achieve the educational goals of the Philippines. Using the Glassman theory which is a functional framework in education, labor sector, and market industry relationship, an interplay exists between and among the students, teacher's methodologies, and learning environment context that produced graduates who are responsive in the challenges that one faced towards his employment. Said institutional products had truly embraced and instilled within them the appropriate knowledge, skills and core values that they had learned. Mentioned indicators were also evident in their respective workplaces and are contributory in achieving the mission of the University. Hence; they carried the best practices in attaining quality service for the common good of the people that they are serving. Using the purposive sampling, this study had described the Infanta Campus graduates' profile and employment data. Involved as respondents are the graduates per se and the employers of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) major in Social Studies and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA). Further, to improve the services along different areas an exit evaluation survey was administered to address its weak points as the case may be. Quality measurement is a requisite to prove the curriculum relevance; thus; gathering the employers' assessment using a feedback instrument is given top priority to meet the needs and standards of one's workplace. It was revealed that they are highly satisfied with the different services that they received from their institution which means that the service providers possess the appropriate technical-know-how and are academically equipped in performing their respective functions as reflected on the evaluation result of the respondents. On the other hand, employers hire graduates who possessed appropriate eligibility and show competence in accomplishing assigned tasks and leadership skills. This implies that organizations are outcomes-based driven in hiring applicants.

La communication examine les dispositifs de création d'emploi mis en oeuvre par les pouvoirs publics en Algérie dans le cadre de la politique d'activation depuis le Programme d'Ajustement Structurel au milieu des années 1990. Elle analyse leur impact en termes du nombre d'emplois créés, selon les caractéristiques de l'âge, du diplôme et du genre des chômeurs. Au regard du court-moyen terme, l'impact macroéconomique de ces dispositifs s'avère faible. Du point de vue qualitatif, les emplois aidés sont précaires et la défaillance des jeunes entrepreneurs se manifeste. Le chômage des jeunes en Algérie est une caractéristique structurelle du marché du travail qui affecte notamment les jeunes diplômés et les femmes de manière inégale. L'analyse de l'effet différencié de ces dispositifs sur l'insertion des jeunes et des femmes, révèle une inégalité de genre.

Retrospective of the employment policy devices in Algeria (1997-2015): Macroeconomic assessment and unequal inclusion according to gender and age
Abstract
The paper examines the job creation devices implemented by public authorities in Algeria within the framework of the activation policy since the Structural Adjustment Program in the mid-1990s. It analyses their impact as regards the number of jobs created, according to the characteristics of age, diploma and gender of the unemployed. On the short-run, the macroeconomic impact of these devices is weak. From a qualitative perspective, subsidised jobs are precarious and failure of young entrepreneurs occurs. Unemployment among young people in Algeria is a structural feature of the labour market, affecting young graduates and women unevenly. These devices encapsulate a distinct effect upon youth and women, which reveals gender inequality in occupational inclusion.

This research work focused on the factors impeding the adoption of journalism as a career among female graduates of mass communication in Maiduguri, Borno State. The study aims at finding out the rationale behind non-pursuance of journalism by women. This study adopted a qualitative survey approach. Specifically, the key informant interview (KII) approach was adopted with 12 women mass communication graduates who were selected based on a snowball approach. The data (responses) were analysed using a thematic approach. The study found that: there was a great deal of perceived discrimination senior colleagues at places of work and by the general society toward women that are into journalism practice in Nigeria; female roles as mothers and wives; religious and cultural beliefs; and poor salary/wages were some of the critical factors impeding women mass communication graduates in Maiduguri from adopting journalism-related careers. This paper aims to show how important it is for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to be involved in the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of alumni. The authors provide a model to show the value added to the product by CPD. This paper proposes ways in which institutions can make the best of the relationship with the student at each level proposed in the model. The major findings were that HEIs should get involved in CPD for its Alumni and CPD provides increased value to products of HEIs. Implications were that HEIs have a role to play in the CPD of their Alumni. This is the first study to introduce the Value- Adding CPD Knowledge Cycle Model.

El  objetivo  principal  del  artículo  es  presentar  la valoración  que  hacen  los  egresados  de  la  carrera  de Educación  Especial  acerca  del  Plan  de  Estudios,  para  establecer  relaciones  con  planteamientos  de  este documento  y  otras  fuentes  que  se  enmarcan  en  la  fundamentación  misma  del  Plan.  Uno  de  los  actores  e informantes  claves  de  estos  procesos  es un grupo de egresados  de  la  carrera,  quienes  en  este  caso  particular hacen  una  valoración  de  su  proceso  de  formación docente,  tomando  en  consideración  aspectos  tales  como: desempeño  laboral y  habilidades  desarrolladas, valores y actitudes,  formación  teórica-práctica  recibida, así como contenidos  adquiridos  y  desempeño  profesional,  todos  aspectos  contemplados  en  el  Plan  de  Estudios  de  la Carrera.  Participó  un  total  de  31  egresados,  graduados  del  periodo  2006-2009  y  se  utilizó  un  cuestionario  que consta  de  55  ítems.  Las  principales  conclusiones  del  estudio  evidencian  que  los  egresados  deben  participar  en espacios  de  consulta,  los  cuales  les  permitan  fortalecer  sus  procesos  reflexivos.  En  este  sentido,  los  egresados valoran  que  la  atención  de  poblaciones  diversas,  la  actitud  de  disposición  y  la  sensibilidad  ante  las  diferencias que  poseen  las  personas  con necesidades  educativas  especiales  son  las  tres habilidades desarrolladas  durante su  proceso  de  formación  y  que  adquieren  mayor  trascendencia  en  el  quehacer  de  su  profesión.  Desde  la perspectiva de los egresados, la formación en valores es una de las fortalezas que tiene el Plan de Estudios de la carrera, lo cual permite asegurar que la dimensión del ser persona es de vital importancia para el desarrollo de la profesión docente.

Absztrakt Tanulmányunkban arra a kérdésre keressük a választ, hogy a diplomások foglalkoztathatóságát bizonyos tényezők hogyan befolyásolják, és azok milyen hatással vannak elégedettségükre. Hipotézisünk szerint azon diplomások, akik az álláskeresésre több időt fordítottak, végzettségüknek megfelelő munkakörben dolgoznak, ezért elégedettebbek munkájukkal, mint pályaelhagyó társaik. A mutatókat a Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem, valamint a Debreceni Egyetem Diplomás Pályakövető Rendszerének adatait elemezve vizsgáljuk. A hipotézist a Debreceni Egyetem DPR adatain tesztelve arra a következtetésre jutunk, hogy az álláskeresés ideje negatívan befolyásolja a munkával való elégedettséget, a szakmájukban dolgozók hamarabb helyezkednek el, és elégedettebbek munkájukkal, mint inkongruensen foglalkoztatott társaik. Our hypothesis is the following: the graduates who spent more time looking for a job, are congruently employed thus more satisfied with their work, than their incongruently employed counterparts. We examine the outcome of the regular career follow-up research executed by Budapest University of Technology and Economics and University of Debrecen. For the purpose of testing our hypothesis we use the database of University of Debrecen. We conclude that the job search time affects negatively the job satisfaction. The congruently employed graduates spend less time for looking for a job and are more satisfied, than incongruently employed ones. The methodological debate on how to measure overeducation has been present since the introduction of the topic in the academic debate. Nevertheless, there is still no consensus on a preferred indicator. This article aims at contributing to the existing methodological debate providing systematic and crosscountry evidence on the variation across overeduca-tion measurements. Using REFLEX/HEGESCO and EULFS datasets, I provide evidence on within and across countries variation on the incidence, correlation and overlaps across the main types of objective, statistical and subjective overeducation indicators. Results suggest that worker's self-reported indicators better cope with comparative studies, while in single-country studies objective indicators are likely to provide a more in-depth and detailed measurement. The use of statistical indicators is advised in contexts with labour markets that easily adapt to educational and employment changes, especially if these are not affected by credential inflation. However, it is advisable to use more than one indicator whenever data allows it, as different types of overeducation measurements provide different outcomes and results are likely to be complementary rather than excluding information on the overeducation phenomenon. This is especially relevant when overeducation is used as a dependent variable rather than a predictor. An initial review and discussion of the existing types of overeducation measurements and their advantages and drawbacks precedes the empirical evidence.

There are a range of disciplines that have close links with professional, or regulatory, bodies that mandate specific maths-skills elements as part of the degree programmes and which require evidence of mathematical attainment before recognising members. For example, Chartered Engineers, Teachers (QTS), Registered Nurses (NMC), Pharmacists (RCP), Radiographers (SOR) and Psychologists (BPS). However, within these professions there is a complex and possibly contradictory picture; there are relatively large numbers of academically-successful individuals who have well documented problems with mathematics. Despite this, these graduates go on to become successful in their careers. Their experience of coping with difficulties with mathematics could help others who are following similar educational trajectories. Currently, four graduates who fit this profile, and who have been working in their fields for more than 5 years, have been interviewed. The interviews were focused around the construction of a personal mathematics educational timeline (Adriansen, 2012). There is something compelling about individual’s stories and they have been linked with aiding change, or even transformation, in others. In addition they have the potential to uncover the unexpected (Hodkinson and Hodkinson, 1997). Whether it be seeking to improve curriculum design or improving mathematics skills support, it could be useful to know more about the experience of people who have emerged as “numerate graduates” (Durrani and Tariq, 2012, p. 3), despite encountering difficulties. This paper summarises the research approach and aims. It draws on the stories heard thus far and considers the implications for higher education.
