To propose the sperm recovering efficiency (SRE) model, an equation that can be used to objectively quantify the technical skill of individual operators processing semen specimens in an andrology laboratory. This model integrates the semen parameters of initial sperm concentration, motility, morphology, and final sperm recovery to produce a unique number that can be used to compare results. In recent years a number of multifactorial theories of child sexual abuse have been developed. The most influential are Finkelhor's (1984) Precondition Model of child sexual abuse; Hall and Hirschman's (1992) Quadripartite Model; and Marshall and Barbaree's Integrated Theory (1990). While all three of these important theories have a number of strengths, each has serious weaknesses that limit its ability to provide a satisfactory explanation of child sexual abuse. In this paper we attempt to integrate the best elements of the three theories into a comprehensive etiological theory, or at least the beginnings of such a theory. After outlining the concept of theory knitting we briefly summarise each of the multifactorial theories and their major strengths and weaknesses. We then develop a comprehensive theoretical framework (the Pathways Model) integrating both the overlapping and unique elements of these broad perspectives with some additional concepts derived from various psychological domains. In the final section of the paper we consider the adequacy of the Pathways Model.

Integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into teaching and learning process is a growing field which has variety of definitions according to different points of view. A very common view asserts that the application of ICT processes should be presented in an integrated way as well as concrete model need to be developed for the teachers in order for the integration process to improve students’ learning. Abstract: In this study, an “ICT integration training" was designed by integrating an online learning environment into the learning and teaching process of prospective teachers in order to assist students to find answers for questions about using "which technology", "why", "where", "how", "when" and "for whom". It is also aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of prospective teachers related to ICT integration as well as enabling them to plan the ICT integration process through the training. As a result of the ICT integration training designed within this study, the prospective teachers have developed lesson plans -by aiming at enriching student learning- that integrate ICT with appropriate learning and teaching methods within the classroom; and those which are operational and ready to use. The study showed that the lesson plans developed by the prospective teachers who received training in ICT integration play an important role in reflecting ICT integration skills on the manner of teaching by ensuring that the knowledge obtained in pre-service education is transformed from theory to practice. When the selected ICT resources and applications in the lesson plans developed by the prospective teachers and their reasons for choosing them were examined, it was observed that instructional approaches are shifted towards a student-centered understanding. Thus, the expressions related to the concept of “facilitating and enriching learning" have constituted a significant part of the reasons why the prospective teachers integrate ICT into the learning and teaching process.

Psoriasis is a common and debilitating disease of the skin, nails, and joints, with an acknowledged but complex genetic basis. Early genome-wide linkage studies of psoriasis focused on segregation of microsatellite markers in families; however, the only locus consistently identified resided in the major histocompatibility complex. Subsequently, several groups mapped this locus to the vicinity of HLA-C, and two groups have reported HLA-Cw6 itself to be the major susceptibility allele. More recently, the development of millions of single-nucleotide polymorphisms, coupled with the development of high-throughput genotyping platforms and a comprehensive map of human haplotypes, has made possible a genome-wide association approach using cases and controls rather than families. Taking advantage of these developments, we participated in a collaborative genome-wide association study of psoriasis involving thousands of cases and controls. Initial analysis of these data revealed and/or confirmed association between psoriasis and seven genetic loci-HLA-C, IL12B, IL23R, IL23A, IL4/IL13, TNFAIP3, and TNIP1-and ongoing studies are revealing additional loci. Here, we review the epidemiology, immunopathology, and genetics of psoriasis, and present a disease model integrating its genetics and immunology.

This quantitative study examines the training of student teachers for ICT-based teaching in two teacher education institution, in Israel and Finland. The data was collected in 2015-2017 using a questionnaire
administered to 41 Finnish and 44 Israeli student teachers. The results show that most student teachers had practice in ICT-based teaching. However, about a third of student teachers in both institutions
practiced only two times or less using ICT. Those who practiced mostly used a teacher-centred approach as did their college and school mentor teachers who integrated ICT in their lessons. The variable describing competency in ICT-based teaching correlated with student teachers' attitudes, the number of ICT-based lessons they taught, modelling by the school mentor teacher, and the various schools’ infrastructures and support. The results show that students in Israeli institutions are better prepared to teach with ICT which can be explained by the impact of the latest national reforms. We conclude that students' perception of their TPACK is the function of a variety of factors: on a personal level (attitudes towards the contribution of ICT to teaching and learning); on an institutional level (curriculum, modelling by faculty, institutional strategies); on a field practice school level (modelling by school mentors,
infrastructure, pedagogical, technological, and administrative support); and on a national level (reforms and their implementation models). All these factors must be considered to promote the pedagogically
innovative integration of ICT in teacher training and the overall education system. The best strategy to achieve this goal is to support collaboration between TEIs and schools on the national level. Wide-scale
implementation of ICT in teaching demands significant investments in infrastructure and training. Hence much of its success depends on the national vision and priorities given to this purpose.

This research aims at studying the integration of ICT in mathematics teaching at the junior and high school levels. An experiment was conducted with a sample of 120 Moroccan teachers from Marrakech-Safi, Casablanca-Settat, Rabat-Salé-Kenitra and Fes-Meknes regions. The teachers responded to a questionnaire of 31 modalities, which deal with the knowledge of the institutional aspects of ICT integration in teaching, educational planning, as well as some didactic aspects in the context of ICT integration. The analysis of the answers was conducted following a multidimensional approach. Thus, thanks to a Factorial Analysis of Multiple Correspondence (FAMC), we were able to identify the most discriminating factors in the integration of ICT and their order of importance. The results of this analysis highlight two factorial axes cumulating an absolute inertia of 76%, respectively representing « Successes and failures of ICT integration in teaching mathematics » and « The success factors in ICT integration».

The  protection  of  Critical  Infrastructures  (CIs)  has
become one of the most cutting-edge research areas
in recent years. There has been considerable effort
and  expenditure  since  9/11  on  the  protection  of
‘Critical  National  Infrastructure’  against  different
attacks. This is because information is out of control
of  the  owner.  The  traditional  device  –  centric
security  systems  are  not  efficient  enough  and
information  telecommunications  services  require
security  measures  in  three  domains:  information
storage, processing and transmission.
We  present  the  fundamental  model  components  of
critical control systems which manage most critical
infrastructures.  We  address  some  of  the  security
solutions  to  modern  critical  control  systems
followed  by  protection  solutions  that  can  be
deployed  to  mitigate  attacks  exploiting  these
vulnerabilities.
