Information and communication technologies (ICT) are today the most used technologies for child pornography. In an attempt to reduce access to child pornography, some Internet Service Providers (ISP), in the United Kingdom, Norway and Sweden have introduced filtering systems which block access to web sites containing child pornography. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse whether the ISP filtering techniques is an effective approach to the problem with child pornography and ICT. The paper will present initial empirical findings consisting of court records, criminal investigation records and interviews with convicted offenders. This material provides information about the type of ICT that has been used for child pornography. The paper has applied critical information systems research, since this perspective is well suited to critically examine the technology used. Resumen: Los sistemas P2P y los ISPs dependen entre sí para poder ofrecer la mejor experiencia de acceso a contenido al usuario final. Sin embargo, los sistemas P2P no poseen información sobre lo que está pasando en las redes subyacentes, de manera que estos sistemas  tienen que cooperar con los ISPs para superar la ineficiencia inherente  del enrutamiento P2P. Al parecer esta cooperación tiene que ver con un  objetivo principal: localizar tráfico en las redes de los ISPs para aprovechar las características demográficas de distribución de contenido. Este trabajo trata de resumir algunos enfoques, aplicados a las redes P2P más populares, que intentan aprovechar los beneficios de  las características demográficas del tráfico P2P,  por medio de caching , modificaciones en los protocolos P2P, servicios intermedios gestionados por el ISP, e incluso acuerdos de peering entre ISPs locales.

Abstract: P2P systems and ISPs depend on each other to give the best accessing content experience for the end user. However, P2P systems have not information about what is happening in the underlay networks,  so these systems have to cooperate with ISPs in order to overcome the inherent inefficiency of P2P routing. It seems that this cooperation has to do with a main objective: localizing traffic within the ISPs networks to  take advantage  of content  distribution  demographic characteristics. This work summarizes some approaches, applied to the most popular P2P networks, which try to explode the benefits of demographic characteristics of P2P traffic, by means of caching, modifications on the  P2P protocols, intermediate services managed by the ISP and even peering agreements between local ISPs.

ÖZET Bu çalışmanın esas amacı, parametrik optimizasyonu yapılmış olan iki-ızgaralı silindir yapıdaki indüktif-eşli radyo frekanslı plazma (RF-ICP) iyon iticilerinin niceliksel itki ve I sp analizlerini yapmaktır. Bu silindirik itici tasarımının simülasyonlarını yapmak için, COMSOL Multiphysics® yazılım programı kullanılmıştır. İtki sistemi, 300 W RF gücüyle, farklı gaz basınçlarında (30-230 mTorr) çalıştırılmıştır. Özgül itme hesapları için, hızlandırma potansiyeli 1110 V olarak alınmış ve yapılan hesaplar sonucunda, itki değerleri 0.411 mN, özgül itme ise 7459 saniye olarak hesaplanmıştır. GİRİŞ Günümüzde, basit ve kompakt bir tasarıma sahip olan plazma iticilerinin popülerliği, giderek artmaktadır. Bunun en önemli nedenlerinden biri gerçeğe en yakın modelleme sonuçları sağlamalarıdır. Bu tip iticilerden olan indüktif-eşli radio frekanslı plazma (RF-ICP) iyon iticileri de yüksek özgül itme ve yüksek verim sağladıklarından dolayı en çok tercih edilenlerdendir. İlk defa 1960 yılında, Alman bilim adamı Profesör Horst Loeb, RF-ICP iticileri üzerine araştırmalar yapmaya başladı. Daha sonra, 1922 yılında,Loebìn araştırmaları öncülüğünde RIT 10 adı verilen itici EURECA uydusu üzerine yerleştirildi [Dobkevicius, 2017]. RF-ICP iyon iticileri, uzay araçlarının itişinde kullanılan bir tür roket motorlarıdır. Bu tip sistemlerin fiziksel çalışma prensipleri elektrohidrodinamik itkiye dayanmaktadır. RF-ICP iticiler, elektrot kullanmadan indüktif deşarj ile iyon üretmektedirler. Bu sayede katot erozyonun sebep olduğu negatif etkiler ortadan kalkar ve iticilerin ömrü daha uzun olur. Ayrıca bu tip iticilerde iyon üretimi ve hızlandırma mekanizmaları birbirinden bağımsız olduğundan daha az RF gücü ile çalışabilen ve daha küçük ebatlarda iticiler üretilebilmektedir. RF-ICP iyon iticileri Şekil-1`de görüldüğü gibi beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır; plazma odası, RF bobinleri, RF jeneratörü ve uyarlama (matching) sistemi, iyon optik sistemi (IOS-ekran ızgarası, hızlandırıcı ızgarası ve yavaşlatma ızgarası) ve bir nötrleştirici. Genellikle, bu tip sistemlerde iletken ve atom numarasının büyük olmasından dolayı yakıt (ortam gazı) olarak Xenon gazı kullanılır [Tsay, 2010]. Plazma odacığında (anotta) bulunan nötr Xenon gazı, RF jeneratöründen uygulanan güç yardımıyla iyonize edilerek plazma oluşturulur. Odacığın etrafına sarılmış olan bobinlerin oluşturduğu elektromanyetik alanların ve hızlandırıcı ızgaraya uygulanan yüksek voltajın etkisiyle de iyonlar hızlandırılarak odacığın dışına doğru püskürtülür. Dışarıda püskürtülerek oluşan iyon hüzmesi de bir oyuk katot yardımıyla nötralize edilir. Böylelikle iticinin yük dengesi korunur [Dobkevicius, 2017].

This work mainly addresses the design a large scale network using dual stack mechanisms. We focused on the most important theoretical concepts of the IPv6 protocol, such as addressing, address allocation, routing with the OSPF and BGP protocols and routing protocols performance in dual stack network using GNS3 and Wireshark simulators. we have a tendency to measure a perfect model and a true large-scale network atmosphere victimization out there end-to-end activity techniques that focuses on a large-scale IPv4 and IPv6 backbone and created performance the IPv4 and IPv6 network. In this paper, we compiled IPv6 address planning in large scale network, performance statistics of each network in terms of TCP throughput, delay jitters, packet loss rate, and round trip time. It is found that, a minor degradation within the throughput of the TCP, delay jitter, a lower packet loss rate, and a rather longer round trip time are occurred in a real large scale dual stack network.

In Mexico, a grass-roots community of entrepreneurs is working to transform the Internet industry from one that merely provides low value-added services to one that is innovation-based. To do so, it must create a culture that promotes innovation and startup companies. In countries such as China, Taiwan, and Israel a multitude of skilled returnees from Silicon Valley have established a community of startups. But in Mexico, entrepreneurs leverage their few relationships with Silicon Valley, and are learning from social media and foreign travels to recreate innovation practices at home. In this paper, we examine how this community of entrepreneurs used the Startup Weekend events to introduce new innovation practices in Mexico. At these events, participants shared their Internet product ideas and formed multidisciplinary teams that raced to create functional prototypes within the weekend. Startup Weekend worked as a catalyst for building a culture of innovation, the strengthening of the startup community, and in some cases the formation of startup companies. Participants primed themselves with business and technical knowledge. Entrepreneur communities formed in previous face-to-face events and through social media, served to create an environment of trust and sharing during and after each Startup Weekend event.

Access to information and communication infrastructure greatly enhances economic growth. When a reliable and affordable medium for information exchange is available, previously unanticipated developments ensue. Most areas in developing countries are sparsely populated and highly rural. Satellite communication is an excellent option for meeting this and many other pressing communication needs of developing economies. This paper examines the impact of satellite communication on developing economies, using popular examples as case study.

Some managers are better than others. Based on the cognitive hierarchy framework of Camerer, Ho, and Chong (2004), we develop a structural econometric model that estimates the level of strategic thinking. In the model, firms with a high level of strategic thinking are more likely to correctly infer the expected actions of their competitors. We apply this model to the decisions by managers at 2233 Internet Service Providers to adopt 56K modems in 1997. We validate our model by showing that firms with higher estimated probability of strategic thinking were more likely to have survived through April 2007. We estimate considerable heterogeneity in the degree to which firms behave strategically and find that strategic ability affects technology choices. In particular, we simulate an increase in strategic ability and find that the diffusion rate of 56K modems falls substantially.

In this paper the user-oriented BISANTE workload generator for network traffic simulation is presented. It enables the analyst to model both the behavior of network users interacting with applications or services and the network traffic at the packet level itself. This way, workload at different levels of abstraction can be constructed. Currently the workload generator is available for the simulation

Research work has been done on how to create a brand supporting behaviour but most of the time the existing insights have generally stemmed from research with management, brand practitioner’s and even consumers’ perspectives. Very little has been done to research the employees’ perception towards internal branding and to compare the view of the management and employees’ on internal communication. The existing researches are also done on mostly in the context of the businesses in industrialize countries whereas this research would be an intent to find the internal branding practice in a service firm in a country of developing economy. This would able to identify the gap in the practice of internal branding in different socio-economical context. This research is dedicated to find out both back end and front end skilled employees’ view towards internal communication in a service firm and based on the findings attempt would be done to see whether the staffs perceive their role differently towards the brand. For conducting the research qualitative data were gathered from the qualitative survey by questioning different employee and management about the internal brand communication and the analysis was done on that. With the respondents view on the internal marketing process, the management do not have fully structured plan to implement a sound internal branding strategy. With a given economical constraint it is not always possible to practice all the aspect of management science, but from the study of the company we can see that service firms such as ISP(internet service provider) companies in weaker economical countries could increase the internal communication practice by just altering the existing inter-departmental communication monitored by innovative senior management, co-ordination of HRM and Marketing with input from engineers.

Abstract: We compare four approaches to network neutrality and network management regulation in a two-sided market model:(i) no variations in Quality of Service and no price discrimination;(ii) variations in Quality of Service but no price discrimination;(iii) variations in Quality of Service and price discrimination but no exclusive contracts; and (iv) no regulation: the network operator can sell exclusive rights to content providers.
