6LowPAN was introduced by the IETF as a standard protocol to interconnect tiny and constrained devices across IPv6 clouds. 6LowPAN supports a QoS feature based on two priority bits. So far, little interest has been granted and this QoS feature and there are no implementations of such feature in real networks. In this paper,we evaluate the capacity to provide QoS of these priority bits in various scenarios. We show that under very heavy or very low network load, these bits have a limited effect on the delay.

In recent years the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry has seen dramatic change, whether it be continually changing client requirements or the disruptive technologies making it hard for some contractors and suppliers to maintain resourcing and capabilities.

The industry is currently facing a multitude of challenges due to the vast amounts of data outputted from smart buildings and the IoT. BIM has the potential to reduce these challenges with inbuilt databases and workflows for data collation and collaboration. Semantic web technologies are proving to be functional and helps leverage challenges faced related to BIM technologies during information exchange. BIM can be used to rationalise data and make it more interoperable with IoT systems; many of the recent developments in the smart building fields do not utilise the BIM to its full potential.

This study's purpose is to explore current academic research and current live metadata projects and explore the integration of the BIM benefits to this workflow and industry standard processes. The conclusion outlines a structured conceptual framework outlining how databases and BIM data can help in the delivery of Smart built environments

Recent years have seen the swift development and deployment of Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications in a variety of application domains. In this scenario, people worldwide are now ready to delight the benefits of the Internet of Things (IoT). The IoT is emerging as the third wave in the evolution of the Internet. The 1990s' Internet wave connected 1.2 billion subscribers while the 2000s' mobile wave connected another 2.4 billion. Actually, IoT is expected to consist of more than 84 billion connected devices generating 186 zettabyte of data by 2025, in the opinion of IDC. It includes major types of networks, such as distributed, ubiquitous, grid, and vehicular, these have conquered the world of information technology over a decade. IoT is growing fast across several industry verticals along with increases in the number of interconnected devices and diversify of IoT applications. In spite of the fact that, IoT technologies are not reaching maturity yet and there are many challenges to overcome. The Internet of Things combines actual and virtual anywhere and anytime, fascinate the attention of both constructor and hacker. Necessarily, leaving the devices without human interference for a long period could lead to theft and IoT incorporates many such things. In this paper, we are briefly discussing technological perspective of Internet of Things security. Because, the protection was a major concern when just two devices were coupled. In this context, security is the most significant of them. Today scenario, there are millions of connected devices and billions of sensors and their numbers are growing. All of them are expected secure and reliable connectivity. Consequently, companies and organizations adopting IoT technologies require well-designed security IoT architectures.

Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming an emerging trend superseding other technologies and researchers considered it as the future of internet. As now the connectivity to the World Wide Web is becoming highly available cost is drastically decreasing so everyone can afford the technology. As Internet of Things provides a great opportunity to develop an important industrial systems and applications with the help of various kind of sensors that can sense out the environment using number of devices that is connected to the internet, usage of IoT is drastically increasing and becoming a common thing. With this sky-rocketed usage and the demand, Communication and storing of the information faces serious security issues as the security of IoT devices become just an afterthought when manufacturing most of the devices. This study tries to summarize this IoT security issues in terms of primary information security concepts confidentiality, integrity and availability with regards to its architecture.

Human activity recognition(HAR) with wearable Internet of Things (IoT) sensors can be beneficial for the elderly and patients monitoring. Smartwatches are the most accessible IoT devices that play an important role in human activity monitoring. The structure of an activity recognition system involves a platform that holds wearable sensors. Under the background, many platforms such as distributed sensors and smartphones and the combination of them have been investigated but platforms are still one of the main research challenges. Smartwatches can be more comfortable for the elderly and patients, therefore our research is focused on a smartwatch as an emerging IoT platform and machine learning method. The smartwatch attached to arm as the main position then was compared to other positions. We considered machine learning methods to present the smartwatch as a reliable platform in order to recognize activities, also we considered k-nearest neighbor and decision tree as two popular machine learning methods for activity recognition. We evaluated the performance with the confusion matrix and then we used accuracy and f1-score metrics for the result of our experiment. The metrics show accuracy and f1-score almost 99% as the performance of smartwatch on arm position.

In today's Industrial IoT (IIoT) environment, where different systems interact with the physical world, the state proposed by the Industry 4.0 standards can lead to escalating vulnerabili-ties, especially when these systems receive data streams from multiple intermediaries, requiring multilevel security approaches, in addition to link encryption. At the same time taking into account the heterogeneity of the systems included in the IIoT ecosystem and the non-institutionalized in-teroperability in terms of hardware and software, serious issues arise as to how to secure these systems. In this framework, given that the protection of industrial equipment is a requirement inextricably linked to technological developments and the use of the IoT, it is important to identify the major vulnerabilities, the associated risks and threats and to suggest the most appropriate countermeasures. In this context, this study provides a description of the attacks against IIoT systems, as well as a thorough analysis of the solutions against these attacks, as they have been proposed in the most recent literature.
