Ἡ συγκέντρωση τοῦ ὑλικοῦ ἀφορᾶ μόνο στὰ χειρόγραφα τῆς Ἱ. Μονῆς Ξηροποτάμου ποὺ ἐκτείνονται χρονικὰ στοὺς αἰῶνες 19ο καὶ 20ό, μὲ προεκτάσεις στοὺς αἰῶνες 16ο-18ο (ἀναφορικὰ σὲ ὅσους βιβλιο-γράφους λάνθαναν), καὶ ἔγινε μὲ ὁδηγὸ τὸν κατάλογο τῶν βιβλιο¬γράφων 17ου-18ου αἰ. τῶν Λίνου καὶ Μαρίας Πολίτη.
Στὸν κατάλογο τῶν βιβλιογράφων 19ου-20οῦ αἰ. τῶν χειρογράφων τῆς μονῆς Ξηροποτάμου καὶ στὴν συνοπτικὴ καταγραφή του περιλαμ-βάνονται καὶ χειρόγραφα ποὺ ἀνήκουν σὲ ἄλλες βιβλιοθῆκες, ἔχουν ὅμως στενὴ σχέση μὲ τὴν Ξηροποτάμου.

El escaso conocimiento que tenemos del Ms. 8 del Archivo Monástico de Santo Domingo de Silos, conocido como Sacramentario de Aurillac, unido a su interés desde la vertiente litúrgica, hagiográfica e histórica, nos ha llevado a emprender la edición íntegra de sus textos, secundando el deseo que Ulysse Chevalier manifestara ya a finales del siglo XIX . De este modo, queremos recuperar la memoria de este testimonio inédito de la liturgia monástica medieval. La obra se compone de dos partes complementarias. En la primera, de carácter introductorio, partimos de un balance bibliográfico desde el hallazgo en 1881 hasta nuestros días, que permite valorar la evolución y el estado actual de la investigación. Acto seguido, abordamos la descripción del codex en su materialidad, tratando de compendiar aquellos elementos codicológicos y paleográficos más relevantes que nos aproximen a su génesis y al entorno cultural en el que fue creado, así como a su trayectoria histórica. Por lo que se refiere al contenido textual, el objetivo ha consistido en individuar y analizar las principales secciones, situando de este modo el ejemplar dentro de la tradición de los sacramentarios medievales. Al término de la introducción, trataremos de dilucidar si es posible mantener la filiación al scriptorium de Aurillac, teniendo en cuenta el "ordo ad visitandum infirmum" del pontifical de esa abadía (BnF, lat. 944).
La segunda parte está dedicada a la edición diplomática de acuerdo con un criterio de fidelidad a la fuente original, según explicamos en la Ratio editionis. Herramienta indispensable para lograr el máximo provecho de este trabajo son los índices de textos, santos y manuscritos, que incluimos al final de la transcripción.
Con esta obra queremos poner en las manos del liturgista, del hagiógrafo e incluso del filólogo un documento de multiforme interés científico, que pueda servir de base para ulteriores indagaciones.

Introducción general: Elena De Laurentiis y Ángel Fernández Collado nos llevan, en su artículo “El cardenal Francisco Antonio de Lorenzana y los códices de la Capilla Sixtina en España”, a los trágicos acontecimientos de la ocupación francesa de Roma a finales del siglo XVIII, durante los cuales el cardenal y arzobispo de Toledo, Francisco Antonio de Lorenzana, en su calidad de embajador extraordinario de Carlos IV ante la Santa Sede, logró recuperar 41 códices litúrgicos procedentes de la Sacristía de la Capilla Sixtina y los envió a España con el fin de salvaguardarlos de la maxima in Urbis direptione para después donarlos a la Catedral Primada de Toledo, donde aún se conservan en su gran mayoría. La historia de este hallazgo de códices miniados les permite reconstruir el que fuera uno de los núcleos de manuscritos litúrgicos más importantes y valiosos del patrimonio bibliográfico pontificio y dar a conocer, mediante los ejemplos presentados, un panorama general del estado de la miniatura en Roma entre los siglos XV y XVII, cuando a pesar de la llegada del libro impreso, la producción de esta clase de obras de lujo continuó desarrollándose, sobre todo en la corte pontificia, gracias al mecenazgo de papas y cardenales.

More than 60 years ago, it was still possible to speak about Latin and Greek palaeographies
as the only fields in which palaeographical studies had reached scientific dignity.
Nowadays, it is important and urgent to review, reconsider and possibly enlarge the
boundaries of palaeography. The existence of palaeographical studies devoted to linguistic
contexts different from the Greek and Latin ones is more and more a reality that
cannot be ignored. The progressive recognition, and integration, of non-Classical manuscript
cultures can only strengthen palaeography as a field of research. Broadening
the field of palaeographical research will also contribute to create a new generation of
scholars more conscious of the object and the method of palaeography: some recent
publications dedicated to Arabic calligraphy show, for example, a basic misunderstanding
between the field of palaeography and calligraphy.

Comparisons of the scribal oeuvres and writing units – textually freestanding clusters of gatherings – in four eleventh-century Italian Giant Bibles and two giant manuscripts of St. Gregory’s Moralia in Iob reveal diverse labour systems, some devised to hasten completion of the individual volume, others dominated by the sequential work of one or a few master copyists. Specific roles within the scribal teams also emerge, most notably that of ‘finisher’ scribes, experts in mise-en-page and mise-en-cahier who appear to have acted as project directors, distributing work to the other amanuenses and checking the finished writing units in preparation for binding.

Dans ces brèves remarques, on a voulu suggérer certains axes de recherches qui peuvent contribuer à une meilleure compréhension des spécificités stylistiques qui caractérisent les manuscrits peints à Avignon pour le pape Jean XXII en tant qu'oeuvres avignonnaises et dans l'histoire plus globale des productions de ce type. On a essayé de dégager certains traits significatifs de cette production enluminée, typiques de son insertion dans l'histoire de la ville. Par là on a tenté également d'aborder le difficile problème des sources et des origines, des influences subies et exercées, du rayonnement et de l'ouverture de cette forme d'expression artistique. L'importance des expériences formelles languedociennes et toulousaines dans la production enluminée avignonnaise des premières décennies du XIVe siècle est soulignée, et l'on ne manque pas d'évoquer l'arrivée en Avignon d'enlumineurs qui se seraient formés dans les ateliers du Sud-Ouest, à Toulouse mais aussi à Montpellier et, peut-être aussi, à Narbonne. En ce qui concerne les influences, il faut donc envisager un riche et multiple phénomène d'osmose dans l'ensemble des régions du Midi concernées par toute l'activité et la mobilité des pèlerins, des étudiants et des professeurs d'université, des juristes et des fonctionnaires qui constituaient le personnel de la Curie.

Here is presented a collection of materials of the International Summer School "Georgian Manuscript" of the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Center of Manuscripts. This collection includes a course of lectures given within the school, with illustrations and a basic bibliography related to the topic.
Summer School "Georgian Manuscript" is a successful project of the National Center of Manuscripts, which is implemented with the participation of the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation for many years and aims to promote the continuation of Kartvelological scientific traditions established by Korneli Kekelidze, Ilia Abuladze, Elene Metreveli. The school curriculum is busy and varied, covering virtually all major areas related to handwriting.
Within this School the well-known Georgian scientists, as well as foreign researchers, share the results of their research and methodology in the field of Kartvelology with the Georgian and foreign students. It is important to note that the academic staff of the School includes three generations of scholars from the National Center for Manuscripts, which is a kind of guarantee of the continuity of knowledge accumulated in the study of Georgian manuscript heritage over the years.
The lecture material is distributed according to five study modules: 1. National Center of Manuscripts and its Collections, 2. Georgian Script, 3. Georgian Manuscript, 4. Georgian Historical Document and 5. Georgian Old Printed Book.
The content of the module includes not only lecture but also practical training materials (Interactive program “How do we protect manuscript heritage”, calligraphy, damaged sheet restoration, as well as digitization workshops), which are presented in the form of extensive bilingual annotations. Annotations are accompanied by illustrations and a list of basic literature on the subject.

The author of the present Census provides such a list.
