Over the air (OTA) is a platform by which GSM provider can send and receive services from and to SIM card. Such OTA Platform are expensive and implemented on operator side only. If SIM vendor want to perform online testing of SIM services they need an special online account with Operator to access their OTA service. To overcome this limitation, GSM modem can be used to perform online testing without special access of operator OTA server with support of “exposesd” API of GSM modem.

ABSTRACT
Wireless technology has developed very rapidly in recent years with the development community needs terhadapat more efficient technologies. although the value of the network is very efficient but performance depends on bantak one factor is the need for antena. antena needs to be increasingly important when the user is outside the coverage antena Wireless LAN (WLAN) standards accespoint are collinear omni. Quality wireless communication system that intertwined itself is very flexible, depending on the type and quality of the antena is in use.To increase the distance range of your wireless LAN used an external antena with a higher gain than a standard antena. However, the conventional antena (high gain external) costs relatively expensive, and therefore required an antena relative to a more affordable price. Expected with the implementation of the wifi antena could be new knowledge and insights discover new techniques to expand the area of coverage, how to known WLAN has limited coverage and a more supportive factor to be implemented directly on wireless networks.In this final project discusses how to design and wake collinear omni antena amplifier as a wireless modem.

ABSTRAK
Teknologi wireless mengalami perkembangan yang sangat pesat beberapa tahun belakangan seiring dengan perkembangan kebutuhan masyarakat terhadapat teknologi yang lebih efisien . walaupun nilai efisien tetapi kinerja jaringan sangat tergantung pada banyak factor salah satunya adalah kebutuhan akan antena . kebutuhan terhadap antena akan semakin penting ketika user berada diluar coverage antena wireless LAN (WLAN) accespoint standar yang bersifat omnidirectional. Kualitas system komunikasi nirkabel yang terjalin sendiri sangat fleksibel, tergantung dari jenis dan kualitas antena yang di gunakan.Untuk meningkatkan jarak jangkauan wireless LAN dipergunakan antena eksternal dengan gain yang lebih tinggi dari antena standart. Namun antena konvensional (eksternal high gain) harganya relative mahal, maka dari itu diperlukan suatu relative antena dengan harga yang lebih terjangkau. Di harapkan dengan implementasi antena omni collinear dapat menjadi wawasan pengetahuan yang baru dan menemukan teknik-teknik baru untuk memperluas daerah cakupan, sebagimana diketahui WLAN mempunyai keterbatasan dalam coverage dan menjadi factor pendukung yang lebih untuk dapat diimplementasikan langsung terhadap jaringan wireless. Pada Proyek Akhir ini membahas bagaimana rancang dan bangun antena omni collinear sebagai penguat modem wireless.

This paper presents design and development of an Automated Home Control System (AHCS) using mobile phone. A cell (mobile) phone acts as a modem for the control of electrical home appliances. This is achieved when the mobile phone number is dialed and an appropriate command button is pressed. The paper demonstrates how to develop a system that aids the control of remote devices using mobile phones to enable devices without infrared though connected to power sources to be controlled and considering the possibility of users to monitor the status and usage of these devices. It makes use of a programmable interface controller (PIC) to control the switching of the output. This design is customized as a central device for four pieces of home appliances using relay to activate each of the respective electronic gadgets.

This walks through a project where the BORO methodology was used to re-engineer data in a defence architectural framework standard - MODAF. This standard has a UML metamodel. UML has (to an extent) a formal semantics, but was not designed to provide a real world semantics. Hence, MODAF at the start had no top level real world semantics, though it had started to establish middle level real world semantics, within UML’s top level formal semantics. This presentation explaines how MODEM used IDEAS (BORO) to bring the real world semantics in. This includes a detailed study of the improvements needed to the UML model for behaviour.

Emerging global standards for high-speed data, like WiMAX, WiBro, HSDPA and EVDO, presently provide islands of coverage. Such standards require new capabilities from mobile devices. With the coexistence of independent standards, protocols and services it is essential to develop wireless platform that can seamlessly connect to any access networks supported by different standards. Here proposed system architecture supports SDR among multiple communication standards. A logical interface between SDR subsystem and higher level protocol called system reconfiguration manager acts as a logical interface between SDR subsystem and user/application layer. Designed algorithm in SCM enables the proper selection of communication system e.g. OFDM, UMTS etc. and triggers for handover from one communication system to another when user/application specified requirements met by SDR subsystem.

Human falls are injurious for paralysed and those who recently undergone surgery. This causes serious issues if left unnoticed. The Ultimate aim of the project is to overcome this issue by alerting the caretakers of the patients. When the patient gets a fall an alert message is sent to the caretaker through Smartphone SMS service with the help of GSM Modem. The exact location of the patient can be determined based on Latitude and Longitude positioning through GPS. This system paves way for remote health care. This technique is used in real time applications for doctors to treat the patient in critical situations.

The need for a novel design framework for optimal power management in low scale organizations necessitated this paper. This paper presents an ongoing research on an optimized SMS switching model for remote load management. A simplified design and flowchart model for Digital Monitoring Systems (DMS) is developed for the prototype implementation. In the implementation phase, the DMS was realized with an embedded controller as well as two sensors which monitor the grid power source and a backup generator power supply concurrently. Using a GSM Modem, a short message alert is generated at various instances to specific end users to switch off certain loads for proper load management and energy cost savings. This research when deployed in any organization will likely save energy costs which ideally drains organizational OPEX. A simulation schematic and the prototype construction with a validation model will form the basis for future work.

This is a compendium of reviews both positive and negative, for "Social Electrics", an album made in 1999-2000 which was an international collaboration with electronica artists around the world. It was made as the internet was in it's infancy and was constructed from sound files drip-fed through a 56k modem.
