This study economically analysed factors influencing the performance of small scale entrepreneurship in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.The study was carried out in Ilorin, Kwara State, which is one of the prominent entrepreneurial states in the middle belt of Nigeria. This study covered three Local Government Areas that are within Ilorin metropolis. A total of 245 respondents were randomly selected in the in the study area whereby copies of well-structured questionnaire were randomly administered on the Proprietors or Managing Directors and /or Management Staff members of the selected small-scale enterprises within the capital city of Kwara state. The study revealed that power supply (POS), labour (LAB), the patent laws (PAL); State and Local Government Policies (SLG) and the financial constraints (FIN) are highly correlated with the dependent variable. Con el término redacción científica se incluye a la totalidad de normas y protocolos estandarizados para lograr la adecuada escritura y difusión de manuscritos en revistas científicas. This paper examines the nature and character of rural markets and conflict management by local authorities in northern Nigeria. The central thesis of this paper is that although rural market communities in northern Nigeria are challenged by unequal power relations, their choices are not limited by their powerlessness in negotiating with local authorities. Two conclusions are drawn from paper: First, is that market protest in Sokoto State exposed the limit of predatory use of power by local authorities as demonstrated by peasant capacity to defy coercive mobilization to ventilate accumulated grievances through boycott of official markets and the creation of rebellious ones. Secondly, market protest in Sokoto State has underscored the economic importance of market in rural Nigeria being the only means of converting the fruits of agricultural labor into economic value. Despite the efforts of cross-border security agencies like the Nigeria police, customs service, Immigration services, and Nigerian civil Defense etc, Nigeria borders have been described as porous allowing all sorts of cross border or trans- border criminal activities such as human trafficking, smuggling, drug trafficking, arm robbery, money laundry and illicit arms trafficking resulting to proliferation of SALW. Thus, West Africa's regional superpower, Nigeria, continues to face serious security challenges due to cross border or trans- border criminal activities. We argue that; one, the spate of cross border criminal activities in West Africa undermines Nigeria's national security; and two, frequent trans-border crimes in West African sub-region impede Nigeria's external relations. The United States introduced federal securities regulation by adopting the Disclosure-Based Regulation (DBR) in 1933 resembling the doctrine of caveat venditor (DCV) as a substitute for the doctrine of caveat emptor (DCE) in the securities market. The overarching objective of the DBR was to protect investors by enabling them to make ‘informed decisions’. Although the change aimed to protect investors, the causes of the GFC suggest that the DCV exists only in theory, while issuers of securities are still enjoying the benefits of the DCE in practice. Financial innovations that intend to camouflage the risks inherent in the complex derivative products should be strictly regulated through a merit regulation which should be applied to only public offers, and the DBR should still remain in force for other securities. It concludes that the DBR has now emerged as more a ‘Pandora’s box’ than a panacea.

The science of clinical immunology was founded just over 100 years ago and was based on a limited set of scientific terms, specifically immunity, allergy, hypersensitivity, anaphylaxis and atopy. The meanings of all these terms have changed significantly since clinical immunology's beginnings, but their use is still valid today. Our goal is to analyze the historical evolution of each of these terms and highlight the disparity between their original and current meanings. We will also reflect on present-day consequences of this disparity for the science and possible ways to correct it.
