Placebo, misunderstood in both form and function to represent a failure in laboratory work. Rather, the Placebo is a natural process available to anyone and is often misused when achieved. The research in this paper will illustrate that Placebo is the act and availability of synthesis. This paper aims to dispel the negative association the placebo has with the healing process and the healthcare industry.

The paper aims to analyze some features of William S. Burroughs’ narrative. Specifically, the notion of pharmakon is considered in relation to the psychoactive drugs described in Burroughs’ novels and to the Burroughsian conception of the word. Furthermore, the relationship between body and writing (as between body and word) is investigated throughout Burroughs’ novels through a psychoanalytical lens. In particular, it is considered how, also thanks to the cut-up technique, the
text becomes a body and a Real surface for virtual transformation of the subject.

Este es un estudio de caso que resume como Respect, un grupo de usuarios de drogas del Reino Unido, respondió a la aparición de problemas relacionados con el consumo de ketamina. La evaluación de necesidades de sus usuarios, el desarrollo de prácticas e intervenciones de pares y como se realizó la asesoría al Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), en asociación con colegios profesionales progresistas y otros colegas, a pesar de la falta de acción, indiferente y perjudicial, de los organismos gubernamentales y la mayoría de los servicios tradicionales de atención a las drogodependencias.

C. S. Peirce introduced the term “icon” for sign-vehicles that signify their objects in virtue of some shared quality. This qualitative kinship, however, threatens to collapse the relata of the sign into one and the same thing. Accordingly, the late-medieval philosopher of signs John Poinsot held that, “no matter how perfect, a concept [...] always retains a distinction, therefore, between the thing signified and itself signifying.” Poinsot is touted by his present-day advocates as a realist, but I believe that, judged by realist standards, his requirement of minimal dissimilarity backfires. Poinsot thinks that, in analyzing the sign, we should stop before a full merger between sign-vehicle and object is reached. Peirce, by contrast, saw good reason to push the analysis all the way down to one isolated quality. Because such a qualitative merger can lend support to realism, I favour Peirce’s stance.

Modern psychedelic users are commonly advised to surrender to altered states of consciousness. Once users consider the possibility that 'surrenderism' is a necessary prerequisite — though not an exclusive approach — coupled with the idea that psychedelic experiences might not be religious or supernatural, the idea emerges that pairing technologies with psychedelics is a viable methodology to comport oneself during psychedelic states. Shamans display signs of control and mastery upon entering altered states, partly because of intentionally crafted techniques and technologies that assist them. It is argued that modern psychedelic users of modern technologies may augment the level of control over their experiences, that is to say, making use of prostheses to maintain balance during intoxicated states.

This article explores archival accounts of the experimental community, Kingsley Hall (1965-70), established by R. D. Laing, the radical Scottish psychiatrist. The paper contributes to renewed interest in Kingsley Hall, R. D. Laing's radical psychiatry and UK counterculture. Archival sources enable not only the further exploration of already known figures but also let us hear previously unheard voices. Following a discussion of archival materials, the Hall is analyzed thematically and historically as (i) an inner spaceship; (ii) an embattled middle-class countercultural plantation; (iii) a site of spiritual renewal and development; (iv) a single-building arts colony; and (v) a countercultural experiment. Finally, it is argued that with re-evaluation of 1960s and 1970s counterculture now underway on the Left, the Hall’s experiment in Laingian countercultural psychiatry—as we may fittingly call it—may yet inform future radical projects (in mental health and beyond).

This reduction of boundary-condition-thresholds across multiple axes renders thought maximally general-> genitive -> generative - driving a pluralized unity : a multiplicative multidentity - the droneswarm flexibly mutating between becoming-One : becoming-Many : becoming-Zero.


When the work of mathematicians Gabriel Catren and Fernando Zalamea is coordinated with cutting-edge psychonautic research we may begin to approach viewing the pleromatica as a cyclic, homotopic continuum between the particular and the general - a radical flattening of the impersonal flood of sense-data and an entity’s material existence into an infinitely-smeared, [sub]merged heterarchy of seemingly-conscious pheno(u)mena. A phenoumenodelic experience - any experience that //involves a shift of the very transcendental structure that renders a transcendent experience possible (Catren)// - unfurls the pleromatica out of hyper-enfolded limitations of the stratified human structure - “transcending transcendence” onto a “free field” of “impersonal experience” - the immanent “void-plane of zero-intensity.” In the phenoumenodelic experience, we puncture the “Bouncing Wall” and //make a slit in the umbrella [...] tear[ing] open the firmament itself (Deleuze/Guattari)// and counteract the gravity of unitary consciousness.


In order to demonstrate how drone music functions as a phenoumenodelic opening onto the pleromatica in the audible field, we will diagram the structure of the drive to ritualize intoxication and codify a set of psychedelic gestures toward this unihilified universal field that emerges in diverse localities ranging from hash-eating Sufi saints and the Eleusinian kykeon ritual to modern drone metal performances that collapse the difference between the visual and audible. En axant ma recherche et mon travail artistique sur l'étude des plantes psychotropes dans le cadre d'une organologie générale , notamment la Sauge Divinatoire , j'ai été amené à faire l'expérience de plantes qui, lorsqu'une question leur est posée, répondent. Placebo accounts for twelve to twenty percent of clinical studies. This paper models use of placebo to manipulate belief in studies by the C.I.A. and modern psychology. El proposito de este estudio es demostrar como una nueva tipologia del turismo esta creciendo en Mexico. Los materiales que se utilizaron fueron de caracter cualitativo, ademas de entrevistas, algunas de estas se aplicaron a la poblacion local en 2016. Los resultados que se encontraron fueron interesantes, debido a la creciente cantidad de personas que quieren experimentar nuevas experiencias alrededor de eco‑areas y tambien estar en contacto con los pueblos indigenas. EnglishIn this document we showed how a new flow of tourists is arriving in Mexico at alarmingly high rates to experience novel encounters of consumption of psychadelic plants and substances in the tourist industry, despite the lack of a proper organisational structure of tourism, health and safety. We analyse the type of tourists who engages in this activity, using qyualitative research based on interviews with local people in 2016. The results are intereting from the perspective of the immense increase in the peoplef desirous of these new experiences that are offered by the indigenous people.
