The paper attempts to view the problems of metaphor as a phenomenon bordering on semantics and pragmatics (pragmalinguistics) in the specialist discourse of economy. Metaphor is a phenomenon of conceptual nature. Being unconsciously utilized by the speaker, it constitutes the cognitive mechanism of human thought and bears consequences on the way abstract categories, such as those appearing in certain aspects of the science of economy, are expressed. Consciously verbalized metaphors are an element of rhetoric and
a pragmatic tool used in discourse as an element of opinion creation and evaluation, which especially applies to economic discourse.

The far -right parties has gained significant electoral power in several European countries and actually got out of the margins on national political systems, becoming a crucial political player.
