The paper discusses the two fragments transmitted from the Lex Municipii Troesmensium, which puts us first in the legal history of the Roman municipal laws before a statute that comes from the “Eastern” part of the Empire (Moesia Inferior); in addition, the new municipal law reports on a commentarius to the Lex Iulia de maritandis ordinibus (18 b. C.), namely: an explanatory development in which Augustus was based to enact after the Lex Papia Poppaea (9. p. C.).
