About this audiobook

Rock Paper Scissors is the latest exciting domestic thriller from the queen of the killer twist, New York Times bestselling author Alice Feeney.

Think you know the person you married? Think again…

Things have been wrong with Mr and Mrs Wright for a long time. When Adam and Amelia win a weekend away to Scotland, it might be just what their marriage needs. Self-confessed workaholic and screenwriter Adam Wright has lived with face blindness his whole life. He can’t recognize friends or family, or even his own wife.

Every anniversary the couple exchange traditional gifts--paper, cotton, pottery, tin--and each year Adam’s wife writes him a letter that she never lets him read. Until now. They both know this weekend will make or break their marriage, but they didn’t randomly win this trip. One of them is lying, and someone doesn’t want them to live happily ever after.

Ten years of marriage. Ten years of secrets. And an anniversary they will never forget.

The overabundance of aphorisms and life lesson quotes may have ruined this book for me. almost was a dnf. Also kind of seemed like the author couldn’t really decide on an ending so she just chose to write it a couple different ways. This book definitely wasn’t for me.

Alice Feeney has done it again! As you can see, I own a copy of this book but I mostly listened to it as an audio while I did chores around my house this week. ?

I LOVED the atmosphere this novel brought with it! It was beyond spooky, creepy & very eerie.

Amelia and Adam go to a chapel in the middle of Scotland, it’s supposed to be a romantic getaway to try and recapture what they once had. But there’s a snowstorm brewing, creepy noises and unexplainable things happening that it's a little hard to rekindle anything at this point.

Adam is a workaholic screenwriter. He also happens to have Prosopagnosia (facial blindness). Going on this trip was something he did not want to do.

Amelia feels she can fix this. She wants to at least try. All she's ever wanted was to make Adam happy. And to help him. And to fix him.

In alternate chapters we get to read letters that Adam's wife has written to him over their ten years of marriage. She never lets him read them. Until the very end where she writes one last one to explain everything and you will not see what twists and turns author Alice Feeney has thrown at us.

If you have not gotten your copy of "???? ????? ????????" I urge you to get it! You will not be disappointed!

“But if there’s one thing I have learned from life as well as fiction, it’s that nobody is ever just a hero or just a villain. We all have it in us to be both.” ― Alice Feeney, ???? ????? ????????

This is the first time I wish I had the physical book in my hands, reading the words for myself, just so I could have something to grip during the suspenseful moments that filled the story.

Had a supernatural feel to it at certain points.

If you read a lot of this genre of books and read them a lot, once the ‘twist’ comes into play it wasn’t that hard to figure out what was happening. The narration is excellent. It was just ok.
