Emotional Rain - J Asheley Brown

Working my fingers to the bone

Working my fingers to the bone

    Really don't understand why

    Incompetent management

Running the business to the ground

Ungrateful customers with venom in their veins

    All this blocks my sunlight

    Tears falling like dark rain

    Money barely coming in

Paycheck has to stretch for the entire month

    No help in sight

    Tired of being worn out

Got to push the pain out

    Tired of waiting until that

One day things will get better

    Not waiting for anyone

    to come to my rescue

I've been left behind too many times before

    Dangling on that line

between sanity and a dark slide downward into insanity

Heaven please throw down a lifeline

Don't know how much longer I can take this

    Ready

    Ready to try

    Ready to live

Ready to fly away from this mess

    Ready to focus

    Ready to give

Ready to cry joyfully instead of in pain

    Ready to rest

Ready to quit this 9 to 5

    Ready to truly live again

Ready to run as far as I can

Ready to dance and not faint

Ready to give my God my all
