Overall Goal of Lesson: For student to be able to use strategy skills and teamwork and running fitness to achieve their
goals.
Instructional Objectives: The students will be able show soccer skills previously worked on. Cardiovascular endurance
will be used as students run in different places throughout each round played. Each team that loses will demonstrate their
muscular endurance by doing push-ups after each round.

used during the game?
Student Activities: 1. Attendance and dress- Students are to sit in their spots and wait for instructional procedures.
2. Warm-up- Students are to run three laps, four sprints back and forth, and then finish off with 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups,
10 burpees, 10 jumping jacks.
4. Review- Students will get into groups of 5 and get into a circile and practice kicking and passing the ball to their team
mates.
3. Activity- Students are to proceed playing the game until further instruction.

Anticipatory Activity for Lesson: The students are able to during


review practice passing the soccer ball in groups.

Teacher Input/Lesson Activity: The students will be divided into 4 groups with colors. There will be four nets
under each basketball net making a square. The object of the game is for each team to score on the opposing
team. There will be two pins by the nets which if are hit are worth 2 points. The net is worth only 1 point. The
game is played as a free for all. Each team can decide who they score against. There will be a time allotted of
only 3 minutes for each round. The team that scores the most points wins that round. The teams keep adding
on that score.
Modeling: The teacher will demonstrate activity making sure all steps are understood and rules before
proceeding.
Guided Practice: During the activity the teacher will guide the students to follow the rules and play fair and
give honest feedback on the scores.
Independent Practice: The students during the last two rounds will be trusted to play alone without any
instructions.
Lesson Closure: The students will be asked how they enjoyed the game and high order questions.

Assessment Methods/Strategies: All students must participate fully in the activity.


Resources (supplies, equipment, software, etc.): Bowling pins, colored shirts, soccer balls, nets
