Photo Diode: max current = 20mA, forward voltage drop = 3volts What resistor is necessary to limit the current to 20 mA? (Show Calculation) Rd:150 Obtain Rd (if you dont have the calculated resistor value, use the next higher available size), complete circuit, and verify proper operation of LED. 3. The circuit below shows a variable voltage power supply (10 volt p-p sine wave taken from function generator), a rectifying diode, and a resistor. The diode has the following characteristics: Diode: Vbr = 600 volts, Imax = 1 A, Vd = 0.6 volts.

Diode Wave:
What is the reason for the difference between waveforms? The rectifying diode conducts in one direction only, limiting the voltage on the negative side. 4. The Zener diode has the following characteristics: Zener Diode: Vz= 3.6 volts, Pz = 1 watt, Vforward = 0.6 volts.
