7 Principles of An Eagle - Dr. Myles Monroe - From All and For All
7 Principles of An Eagle - Dr. Myles Monroe - From All and For All
7 Principles of An Eagle - Dr. Myles Monroe - From All and For All
PRINCIPLE 1
Eagles fly alone at high altitude and not with sparrows or other small birds. No other bird can got
to the height of the eagle. Stay away from sparrows and ravens.
Eagles fly with Eagles
PRINCIPLE 2
Eagles have strong vision. They have the ability to focus on something up to five kilometers away.
When an eagle sites his prey, he narrows his focus on it and set out to get it. No matter the
obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.
Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.
PRINCIPLE 3
Eagles do not eat dead things. They feed only on fresh prey. Vultures eat dead animals, but eagles
will not.
Be careful with what you feed your eyes and ears with, especially in movies and on TV. Steer clear
of outdated and old information. Always do your research well.
PRINCIPLE 4
Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the storms wind
to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles uses the raging storm to lift him
above the
clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the
other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees.
We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish challenges and use them
profitably.
PRINCIPLE 5
The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies
down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the
male pursuing her.
Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and
watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases it. He
has to catch it before it
falls to the ground. He then brings it back to the female eagle.
The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a higher altitude and then drops the twig for the male
to chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that
the male eagle has mastered the art of catching the twig which shows commitment. Then and only
then, will she allow him to mate with her.
Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for
partnership.
PRINCIPLE 6
When ready to lay eggs, the female and male eagle identify a place very high on a cliff where no
predators can reach. The male flies to earth and picks thorns and lays them on the crevice of the
cliff, then flies to earth again to collect twigs which he lays in the intended nest. He flies back to
earth and picks thorns laying them on top of the twigs. He flies back to earth and picks soft grass
to cover the thorns. When this first layering is complete the male eagle runs back to earth and
picks more thorns, lays them on the nest; runs back to get grass it on top of the thorns, then plucks
his feathers to complete the nest. The thorns on the outside of the nest protect it from possible
intruders. Both male and female eagles participate in raising the eagle family. She lays the eggs
and protects them; he builds the nest and hunts. During the time of training the young ones to fly,
the mother eagle throws the eaglets out of the nest. Because they are scared, they jump into the
nest again.
Next, she throws them out and then takes off the soft layers of the nest, leaving the thorns bare
When the scared eaglets again jump into the nest, they are pricked by thorns. Shrieking and
bleeding they jump out again this time wondering why the mother and father who love them so
much are torturing them. Next, mother eagle pushes them off the cliff into the air. As they shriek
in fear, father eagle flies out and catches them up on his back before they fall and brings them back
to the cliff. This goes on for sometime until they start flapping their wings. They get excited at this
newfound knowledge that they can fly.
The preparation of the nest teaches us to prepare for changes; The preparation for the family
teaches us that active participation of both partners leads to success; The being pricked by the
thorns tells us that sometimes being too comfortable where we are may result into our not
experiencing life, not progressing and not learning at all. The thorns of life come to teach us that
we need to grow, get out of the nest and live on. We may not know it but the seemingly
comfortable and safe haven may have thorns.
The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us hard to grow and prosper.
Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good intentions for us.
PRINCIPLE 7
When an Eagle grows old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as he should.
When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the rocks. While there, he
plucks out every feather on his body until he is completely bare. He stays in this hiding place until
he has grown new feathers, then he can come out.
We occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us without adding to our lives.

#7 is false as well. For those of you who have e-mailed me wondering if its true that an eagle
goes into seclusion, plucks all of its feathers, sheds its beak and talons, and then renews itself,
is a myth. An eagles beak and talons grow continuously, because they are made of keratin, the
same substance as our hair and fingernails. Eagles molt in patches, taking almost half a year to
replace feathers, starting with the head and working downward. Not all feathers are replaced
in a given molt. An eagle without feathers, talons, and a beak would die of starvation and
exposure. (www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/eagle-myths.html)
The PowerPoint presentation circulating the Internet is a myth and metaphor intended to
encourage and strengthen people. Eagles do not go into seclusion, pluck out their feathers,
beak and talons, and then after five months emerge renewed. Its a myth! An eagles beak and
talons grow continuously, because they are made of keratin, the same substance as our hair and
fingernails. Eagles molt in patches, taking almost half a year to replace feathers, starting with
the head and working downward. Not all feathers are replaced in a given molt. An eagle
without feathers, talons, and a beak would die of starvation and exposure.

My purpose for this is not to argue. I am a Christian and I am researching why the Bible
mentions the eagle as much as it does. But in my research, I have found out that many of these
things that not only you, but others, believe is true, is not.
I suggest you research further and maybe look at the websites I sited. It is full of interesting
information. But, do make sure that any sites you look at are real and factual and not just
something someone wrote without a Bibliography or references.

How certain is the fact that all specie of eagle has been found. The Bible did mention the
renewal of strength as the eagle. Biblical quotes are often spiritual therefore requires no
scientific or biological evidence.
but having said this i would wonder why it would be of any important to you as a self
confessed Christian- because wouldnt you live your life to how god and the holy bible would
dictate? its just a thought as an atheists i find it most curious how people work with in
organized religion because i simply am not well educated in that area. but what i do know is its
principals like this that dont require faith that are often turned to by people out side of
religion.
in conclusion what Im saying is it shouldnt matter that the facts are wrong about eagles- the
fact is its a set of standards that people can follow to if they wish to help them be all they can
be. Curious and Concerned on the other hand has their faith in which to steer him

Hello my friend, and God bless you. I do be-leave it matters whether what is said is correct
or not. Your title said you where an English student, and from the beginning in English
101we are thought about how to present an essay. This essay in particular is represented to
us as acts of fact depicting the behavior of eagles compared to how we live our spiritual
lives. I saw no evidence that it was all meteorically placed together in order to just make a
helpful point, but was in fact placed as a descriptive factual representation of how we
should live our daily lives. Thank you for your post, It was fun to read, you can read mind

The bible states clearly that these are the birds you are to detest and not eat because they are
detestable: the eagle being the first one (Lev 11:13), are we not then contradicting our Mighty
makers when we use that as an example to try and win souls to Christ as some of us suggests.
Let us not be conformed into the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind. Then you be able to test and approve what Gods will is his good, pleasing and
perfect will.
Shelia Says:
July 22, 2014 at 1:41 am | Reply
We are to detest them in the content of food. We are not to eat them. But the bible uses the
eagle as an example of strength just as it uses the ant as a form of wisdom. Please lets not
allow legalism to interfere with spiritualism. May God open your understanding to
scripture.

a do agree with the principles of an eagle. In real sence eagle is very unique since it has also
exra-ordinary character traits.
when my husband tried to move a seemingly forsaken baby bird from behind his truck, we
found out that the parents were watching very close by, because they swooped at my husband,
warning him to back off.
Finally, it doesnt matter whether the eagle loves storms or not; the point is, they have the
instinct to take advantage of the God-given ability to rise/soar above the storm.
Gods help is always available to us during stormy times. When we yield to Him, we will soar
far above the enemies attempts to steal, to kill, and to destroy in our lives.

was the renewal of youth like eagles, and i must say it was great, informative and filled with
the holy spirit, for each and every member was willing to start a new chapter in their lives.
I must say these principles have made me regain my long lost confidence, and i will make sure
to keep them vissible for my friends to read, and together we may grow beyond in life!
Im an Eagle, and i will face all the storms of my life!
break ranks to live life to its full potential. AN EAGLE IS NOT PART OF A COLONY. It is
independent because it has to seek its own place in the sun

I am a biologist, and work in eagle country up in Canada. I second every point youve made
Mr. Munroes work is inspirational, but it is inspirational fiction.
Gods Creation is beautiful enough without bending, twisting, and distorting the facts and
attempt to improve on the Fathers handiwork.
Many faith communities honour the eagle. It flies higher than most other birds, and can
disappear over the horizon quickly. To ancient people, who moved on foot, or on horseback,
the eagle saw more and moved faster than they ever could. The eagle becomes incredibly
symbolic and important to many faiths the Judeo-Christians scriptures mention eagles often,
as do North American Aboriginal faith stories, the ancient Egyptian religion, ancient Greek
religion, etc.
God created everything as part of a wonderful web of life. The eagle resonates with our
curious nature as humans. God created everything wonderful and good we just seem to be
able to remember that better when we see something like an eagle, than, say, a crow.

traits of an eagle that we would need to have. One thing I discovered from reading about an
eagle is that it doesnt run away from the storm but faces it head- on. In the storm of live, we
should put our trust in God knowing that He has promised to be with us. Psalm 46:1 says:
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. May the Lord help us.

Hi, Im also a christian and I find your metaphor of the Eagle, wonderful, thank you. I dont
find it necessary to research to prove that you are incorrect. I came across your page because
this morning I read this,
When it rains, most birds head for shelter; The Eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the
rain, starts flying above the clouds.
It wasnt meant as a metaphor but I immediately saw the metaphor within it so I searched for
other information about the eagle. But this is what I posted this morning.
When it rains, most birds head for shelter; To stay within their comfort zone. The Eagle is the
only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above the clouds. Be an Eagle and avoid
the chaos. If you must be present in the rain, visualize putting on your rain gear. The chaos is
less likely to permeate.
