A. Pre – Reading Activities

Unlock difficulty words found in the story through pictures

Let pupils tell something about a bird.

4. Listening to a story: “ Si Wako ang Matalinong Kuwago”
Teacher shows the picture in the story and let the pupils tell something about the picture.
Mention the title and the author.
A. Preparation
Recall the story “ Si Wako, ang Matalinong Kuwago”
Who is the main character in the story?
What sound do you hear at the beginning of his name?

The teacher models the proper way of writing W, w. Have the pupils write the letter W, w in the air, on the
palm, at the back of their classmates, on their desk, and on their lap. Ask volunteer pupils to write W, w, on
the board. Encourage the pupils to count the number of the strokes as they write the letter and assist pupils
with writing difficulty.
