1. APRON EXIT
a. Pilots of departing aircraft, prior contacting Clearance Delivery (CD), shall listen the
Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS).
b. Pilots of departing aircraft shall make initial contact with "Cancun Clearance Delivery".
1.1. Aircraft with destination AICM (City of Mexico International Airport)
must request their slot by providing their ETD to CD (122.1) or Ground East (121.7) in
accordance with the operating hours of those frequencies, to coordinate with the Flow
Control Center of AICM.
Cancun Clearance Delivery (CD) shall inform the pilots the ETD provided by the Flow Control
Center of AICM (CCFMEX).
The start-up of engines shall be carried out in accordance to the procedures of each Operator
and the restrictions imposed by the authority of each parking position.
See 10-9A notes for additional information.
2. TAKE-OFF
Upon receiving the authorization to taxi to the take-off position, the crew must ensure,
without deiviating from the safety procedures and normal operation, shall be able to
-Enter the runway as soon as the preceeding aircraft has initiated its take-off run.
-Having completed the checklists, if possible before entering the runway and any verification
that requires completion, do so within the runway in the shortest time possible.
Pilots must ensure that they are able to start the take-off run as soon as take-off
authorization is provided. Pilots who cannot meet these requirements should notify ATC as
soon as possible. Aircraft that are not ready to initiate the take-off run immediately after
receiving the authorization for take-off, shall receive the cancellation of said authorization
and instructions to leave the runway through the first available twy exit.
3. ARRIVALS
When rwys 12L/R are in use:
Acft taxiing on twy C yield to acft exiting rwy 12R at twys C3, C4 & C5, unless ATC
indicates otherwise.
Acft exiting rwy 12L shall continue on twy D and hold before D1.
When rwys 30L/R are in use:
Acft taxing on twy C yield to acft exiting rwy 30L via twys C6 & C7 and heavy acft landing
on rwy 30L shall exit at the end of the rwy unless ATC indicates otherwise.
4. MOVEMENT OF TRANSFER AIRCRAFT
4.1 This procedure does not exempt transfer aircraft operators from complying with other
provisions established by the laws and regulations for their operations.
4.2 Transfer aircraft shall be kept off any runway or taxiway until they receive the explicit
authorization by radio from Cancun Ground Control.
4.3 Transfer aircraft, towed or by their own propulsion, operating within the maneuvering
area must:
-Have, on the tow tractor, a VHF transceiver equipment and rotating headlamp in working
condition, and on, during transit through the movement area.
-Maintain the navigation lights on during the transfer in any visibility condition, day or night.
-Have an update aerodrome map.
-Have a broad knowledge of the light signals to be applied in case of communications failure.
-Have a broad knowledge of the ATC phraseology to understand and execute the instructions.
Transfer aircraft that require to enter the maneuvering area, must request authorization to
the Cancun Surface Movement Control, before entering maneuvering area and inform this Unit
of its movements, notifying:
-Call sign
-Registration, last 3 characters of the registration (letters or numbers)
-Type of aircraft
-Origin and destination of the movement
-Type of transfer (towed or own propulsion).
1. These are the lowest MVAs that can be assigned by the controller in a sector when RADAR control
procedures (vectors) are applied, without affecting routes and procedures with lower minimums.
2. All aircraft operating under VFR within CANCUN/CAZUMEL TMA should have transponder mode 3 A/C
with 4096 code capabilities.
3. Exclusive use of chart to verify assigned altitudes to identified aircraft.

Departure aircraft shall contact Cearance Delivery 30 minutes prior to their authorized ETD to request
