ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

The objective of the assignment is to enable learners to apply 21 st century skills in


planning to teach and discuss how ICT and student-centred instructional strategy can be
incorporated and used in the classroom to enhance their learning and acquisition of
knowledge and wholesome development.

PART I: WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT (50 MARKS)

Hattie (2012) in his study highlighted several highly effective classroom practices which
include: teacher clarity, classroom discussion, feedback, formative assessment, and
metacognitive strategies.

For this assignment, you are required to discuss the above teaching practices that will be
suitable for learners to acquire the 4Cs of 21st century learning skills. In your discussion,
relate these teaching strategies with relevant theories and provide your justifications
why these teaching practices are useful for the 21st century learning skills.

In your report, include the followings:


(a) Introduction that provides an overview of teaching and learning practices and its
importance.
(b) Discuss at least FOUR teaching practices that will allow your students to
demonstrate the “4Cs” of the 21st century learning skills.
(c) Discuss the relevant theories that support your teaching practices.
(d) Teaching practices will be appropriate for 21 st century learning skills. Provide
justification for this statement.
(f) Conclusion that concludes and synthesises your write-up.
(g) References and in-text citation should be according to APA Citation Style and
relevant to support your discussion.
