When I’m about to write my session plan I asked myself some questions such as
what should I write in my sector, unit of competency, module title, my learning outcome,
learning content and method.2. And I’ve got the answers to my questions from the training
regulation (TR) and competency based curriculum (CBC). 3There are 9 components of a
session plan, which are the industry sector, qualification title, unit of competency, module
title, learning outcome, introduction, learning activities, assessment plan, trainer’s
evaluation and reflection. 4. The factors that I considered in selecting my training methods
are the content, time, resources available and size of the audience. 5. In organizing the
learning event it follows the 9 events of instructions by Robert Gagne which are gain
attention, inform learners of objectives, stimulates recall prior knowledge, present
materials, provide guidance for learning, elicit performance, provide feedback to reinforce,
assess performance and enhance retention and transfer. 6. The assessment tools I choose
are work related project, interview and written exam and I made a good choice because it
measured the knowledge, skill and attitude of the trainees. 7. I considered validity and cost
of effectiveness of the said assessment tools by preparing an evidence plan based on the
competency standard. 8 It is necessary to prepare table of specification in preparing a
written test so that it will increase the validity of the written test and all content to be
tested have a representative questions. 9. And in preparing my session plan I considered
some adults learning principles which are the learning styles and learner motivation.

In establishing and identifying relationship with potential participating company by
preparing the memorandum of agreement. 2 I will write a training plan because it serves as a
guide of the training so that it will run smoothly. 3. And before sending the trainees to
participating company, I should explain to the trainees the objectives for undertaking work-
based training and the process involve by conducting an orientation. 4 To monitor the
performance of the trainees is by conducting a visit to ensure training arrangement are
implemented and record their performance through trainees progress sheet and trainees
record book and give them feedback right after the task performed by the trainees. 5 If the
participating company will make an unfavorable remark about the performance of the
trainees, conduct investigation to the trainees and participating company. 6Lastly, I will
evaluate the effectiveness of the work based learning by conducting an evaluation and
recommend improvements base on the result of the conducted process.

. The training equipments in my workplaces are computer or laptop, aircon
unit, LCD projector, trainer’s table and chairs, white board and we used some
materials which are pencil, eraser, ball pen, ruler, journal (assorted column), ledger,
worksheet (assorted) and marker. 3. The major activities in maintaining the above
mentioned equipments will center on the 5Ms which are the manpower, money,
methods, machines and materials as well as the major activities in housekeeping will
focus on the 5ms which are the following; sort, systematize, sweep, standardize and
self- discipline. 4 After performing the major activities in maintenance and found out
some equipments are need to be replace, we have to fill up the purchase request
form, attached the breakdown report and work request has a justification in
purchasing some equipment. 5 When equipment is found to be out of order, the
standard operation procedure is implementing the tag-out system which letting you
know whether something in your place should either be operated with extra care or
left alone. 6 And our waste disposal system is applying the waste management which
are the 3Rs, reduce, reuse and recycle. 7 In recording and documentation of
equipment or machine maintenance and repair is using the breakdown or repair
report, it is typical form used in maintenance either in preventive or emergency
repair. And lastly, the above mentioned training facilities procedures and
maintenance form is the best way in maintaining training facilities.

The activities that I did before the arrival of the trainees were preparing
appropriate facilities or resources based on the session requirements, prepare and
set-up learning station and prepare tools and equipment according to the learning
activities. 2 As the trainees arrived, I checked the attendance, administered pre-
assessment tools which are filling up the learner’s characteristics form, self-
assessment checklist and pre-test, I conducted an orientation, discussed the
difference of CBT and traditional approach, role of trainers and trainees, the
instructional material which is CBLM, introducing the learning station and let them
participate during the session and that made the session students centered. 3 I used
CBLM as my learning material and I don’t need to change it because it is well-
designed and carefully developed that give trainee’s detailed instruction to guide
them through the learning process. 4-5The type of question I asked in the session is
the motivational question and it is necessary to ask to ensure the participation from
the trainees. 6 I used the training matrix because it is a monitoring tools of trainee’s
activities for trainer, it may also look for matrix in monitoring competency based
training and it is a good indicator that the training being implemented is using the
CBT approach. 7The adult learning that always in my mind is the learning styles,
because trainees have their different learning styles, they don’t learn in the same
way. 8 In assessing my trainees, I used written exam, interview and work-related
project as my assessment tools and I believe those are the best tools in assessing the
underpinning skills and knowledge on the qualification bookkeeping NClll trainees. 9
After they have been assessed, I immediately give a constructive feedback by
isolating them and give one on one feedback and I believe that is the best way in
giving feedback. 10 As the training ended, I asked the trainees to evaluate the training
session and recommend changes and improvements.

Before the assessment activity, I have to ensure that the resources are
assembled and tested, assessment venue must be conducive and safe. 2 During the
orientation of the candidates, I will explain the following; context and purpose of the
assessment, the needs of the candidates to establish allowable and reasonable
adjustment, legal and ethical responsibilities and the evidence to be collected as
contained in the assessment guidelines. 3 The purpose of giving orientation to the
candidates is to know the right of the candidates, the procedure of the assessment
and the different unit of competencies they will be assess based on the competency
standard and equip some information on qualification for competency assessment. 4
To make sure that the candidates taking the assessment is the same person in the
application form is by asking to sign the attendance and compare the signature to
the admission slip. 5 And to make sure that the candidates understand the task to be
perform is by conducting the competency assessment agreement sheet and let them
sign the said agreement as well as I sign. 6 If the candidates are performing the task,
the assessor will do or don’t do the following things; they shall be professional in
dealing the competency assessment applicants, shall place a high value on
objectivity and integrity, believe in every examinees right to total concentration
during the test, shall administer test only in areas where they have still competence,
shall zealously safeguard the validity of the competency assessment instrument,
shall not allow the competency assessment to be an instrument of corruption and
shall not make the examinees nervous. 7 During the interview or oral questioning,
when the candidate’s answer is wrong, I will not give the correct answer
immediately, give them a hint instead, until they could get the correct answer. 8
Make the assessment decision based on the evaluation of the evidence gathered and
requirements of the relevant unit(s) of competency standard and if I am not sure
with my decision, I will review the rating sheet and evidence gathered of the
candidates. 9 In providing feedback, isolate the candidate and give a clear and
constructive feedback of the assessment decision in line with the relevant
assessment guidelines and in case the candidate does not agree with my decision, I
will show and explain the evidence gathered method and rating sheet of a certain
candidate.
