A. Reviewing previous lesson/
presenting new lesson Review:
(Balik-aral sa nakaraang aralin at/ o Show a video in class. There are 10 pictures of action verbs hidden

and guess the verb. After playing this game, ask the learners what other

An adverb is a word used to modify the meaning of a verb,
adjective, or another adverb.
Adverbs of manner – are words that tell how actions are done.
Show some examples to help them understand what adverbs are.

Activity: Do As I Say
1. This game is played in groups. Put students into groups of 4 and
give each group a piece of paper or a whiteboard to write on.
2. Tell students they are going to write down orders that other groups
must follow.
3. Give each group of students 5 minutes to write down as many
verb+adverb examples as they can.
4. Comes the fun part! The groups will take turns ordering others
what to do. When it’s their turn, the group of pupils must point to

Activity: Just One Question
This is a nice survey-style activity that gets pupils asking their
