• Displays conductivity, resistivity, PPM and temperature units
• Measured process & temperature can be displayed together
• Auto range or single range operation
• Full ultra pure water (UPW) temperature compensation
• Ultra pure water to solution concentration measurement
• Programmable cell constant

The contacting conductivity input allows connection with LTH contacting conductivity cells with a cell constant
of K=0.01, 0.1, 1.0 and 10.0. It is also possible to use other manufacturer’s conductivity cells with a cell
constant between K= 0.005 and 15.00. This oers a wide operating range of conductivity measurement from ultra

BED17 electrodeless (inductive) conductivity
• Measurement of conductivity, % solution concentration, TDS (ppm) and temperature
• Able to simultaneously display conductivity, % solution concentration and temperature
• Ideal for cooling tower bleed, rinse water and solution concentration applications
• Custom concentration curve from 2 to 9 points can be entered
• User adjustable temperature slope
• Proportional / accumulation dosing

Covering a wide range of conductivity measurement, from water (150µS/cm) to solution concentration
measurements (999.9 mS/cm), it is possible to display the readings in conductivity or by % concentration
by programming a custom curve into the instrument. The unit can be set for single range or auto range
measurement and can be used with any LTH Electrodeless (Inductive) conductivity sensor.

Both measurement input and current output can be individually calibrated from the front panel. For applications
requiring accurate measurements it is possible to calibrate the instrument and sensor to either a standard
solution or a titrated solution concentration. An off-line facility allows the instrument to be adjusted without
disturbing external processes.

Automatic temperature compensation can be applied to the measurement using an adjustable linear slope.
For applications where temperature compensation is not required it can be switched out. Alternatively a manual
temperature can be entered, if required.

Additional setpoint modes Proportional (Setpoint 2 only) The setpoint will dose in proportion to the
time that setpoint 1 was on. e.g. If setpoint is energised for 10 minutes
and the proportion is set to 50% then setpoint 2 will start dosing for 5
minutes immediately after setpoint 1 has de-energised.
Accumulation (Setpoint 2 only) The setpoint will dose for the set dose
time after the accumulation active time of setpoint 1 has been reached.

9
BPD17 pH/ redox (ORP)
• Differential Input for excellent noise rejection
• Accepts pH glass and redox (ORP) electrodes
• Able to display the pH reading and electrode mv value
• Dose alarm timer prevents overdosing

By providing the user with the flexibility to select either a pH or redox (ORP) input and operating with a single
ended or differential input, means a single instrument may be used for the majority of pH and redox (ORP)
applications. Temperature compensator selection of Pt1000 or Pt100 allows the instrument to be used with
almost any pH electrode system.

Two digital inputs are provided for remote activation of user defined operations. The functions available are
offline, interlock, flow switch input and tank level switch. This causes any active set points to de-energise
and the current output to change to its offline status.

Both measurement inputs and current outputs can be individually calibrated from the front panel. For applications
requiring accurate measurements it is possible to calibrate the instrument and sensor to either a standard
solution or a titrated solution concentration. An off-line facility allows the instrument to be adjusted without
disturbing external processes.

For applications which require automatic sensor cleaning, set point relays can be configured as a clean initiator.
The clean duration, recovery time and interval period are all programmable. During the clean and recovery
periods the instrument will go off-line and hold the current outputs and disable the control relays.
