The study explores the hormonal influences on entrepreneurial opportunity persuasion decisions (OPD). It also analyzes how behavioural psychology influences the entrepreneurial opportunity recognition-refinement process (OPRR). The machine learning and structural equation modelling analyses of the data from 271 Indian entrepreneurs support the hypotheses of a direct effect of the physiological biomarker—Testosterone-Cortisol Ratio (TCR) and behavioural marker—communities of inquiry (COI) on OPD. Further, partial mediation indicated an indirect positive effect of COI on OPD, with OPRR moderating this relationship. Shedding new light on the enigmatic entrepreneurial opportunity behaviour from a biological and behavioural perspective improves the causal inference of external and socially-influenced COI and internally-triggered TCR. PurposeThis paper explores the strategies adopted by purchasing firms to streamline relationships with suppliers amid the COVID-19 outbreak.Design/methodology/approachThis study employed a multiple case study method and conducted 42 semi-structured interviews with procurement managers from six firms in the United Arab Emirates.FindingsThis study reveals six helpful strategies that purchasing firms can undertake to streamline supplier relationship management (SRM) in the wake of COVID-19. The most productive output of an organization is production of customer satisfaction. The real value lies in delivering customer satisfaction which precedes customer retention and profits. Although most organizations understand the importance of this stakeholder, few are able to commit themselves to achieving customer satisfaction. For them customer service is an attitude and not a department or competency. This study focuses on investigating customer satisfaction dimensions in service industry in general and banking sector in particular. Service quality is measured in the banking sector in Oman using multiple item questionnaires as the research was epistemologically committed to realist philosophy. The findings confirm strong relationship between customer satisfaction and service quality dimensions. The presentation of the multiple regression models explains 62% of the relationship between customer satisfaction and service quality dimensions. If firms in the banking sector improve their communication with their customers and commit themselves to delivering customer service and develop necessary competencies for it, they would be able to deliver the desired level of customer satisfaction.

Aims: Building on previous studies on entrepreneurial leadership and innovation, the purpose of this study was to report on the hypothesized relationship between entrepreneurial leadership dimensions and entrepreneurial innovation intensity, represented through incremental and radical innovation. Study design: This was primarily an exploratory study, epistemologically grounded in positivist and realist philosophy, uses quantitative strategy. The sample consisted of 200 respondents (response rate 70%) representing organizations in 5 different sectors in the Omani corporate sector. Results: In general, the results showed that out of 40 items tested 13 items showed significant relationships (P=.05). 7 dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership contributed towards radical innovation, while 6 dimensions were found to be supporting incremental innovation. In spite of the recognition that entrepreneurship and innovation are interlinked, very few studies have attempted to articulate this relationship. The aim of this article is to explain the nature of the relationship between entrepreneurship and innovation in large firms, arguing that entrepreneurship is an antecedent to innovation. The study employs a multidimensional entrepreneurial architecture (EA) framework for the first time and tests the effect of a battery of entrepreneurship measures on innovation output, which is reflected as degree and frequency of incremental and radical innovations.  Adopting a quantitative approach, data were collected from 400 corporate firms in Oman representing various sectors of the economy. The entrepreneurial stress construct’s nomological validity is not well established as past studies have not delineated between entrepreneurial and employee stress. This study investigated several entrepreneurship-specific stressors positing their causal effect on perceived entrepreneurial stress (PES). It examined four directional hypotheses testing the causal, reverse, reciprocal relationships and moderation effects between stressors and PES. Further, it looked at the moderating impact of psychological capital. The financial sector particularly the mutual funds in Oman market have shown limited potential to attract consumers. Consumer attitudes towards financial investments have always been a challenge for the finance companies due to limited risk appetite of consumers which are largely attributed to both cognitive and affective components of attitude. Through a process of methodological triangulation data was collected from experts in the finance sector from a sample of 200 consumers. Pearson product moment correlation and standard multiple regressions through SPSS version 20 were used to study the hypothesized relationships in this study. This study throws light on critical variables that shape consumer attitudes towards mutual funds and recommends the scope for introducing new mutual funds which has significant implications on capital markets in Oman.
