Linux

On Linux, the recommended way to setup eduroam is using NetworkManager. Most distributions use it, but it unfortunately has a history of regressions that made it impossible to setup the connection in some cases.

In this section, you will find the setup instructions for CentOS / Fedora and Ubuntu. Please note that we can only provide support for the versions that we tested.

If you encounter a NetworkManager bug on an unsupported distribution but you still need to use eduroam, another option is wpa_supplicant. Because it is totally independant from NetworkManager and requires it to be disabled, we cannot provide any support for the use of this software.
