En este artículo se presenta el hallazgo de un modelo de propagación de exteriorinterior para la telefonía móvil de la Universidad Militar, realizando mediciones de la potencia recibida a lo largo del interior de los bloques de la Universidad, a partir de una estación base que se encuentra emitiendo en el techo del Bloque E de la Universidad. Las mediciones de potencia de la señal se realizan en la banda de GSM 850 de Comcel, usando para ello el teléfono celular OT-C717A de marca Alcatel y el software Catcher. El resultado de esta investigación es un modelo de propagación con un margen de error menor al 10% para la señal de Comcel en la Universidad Militar.

El objetivo del trabajo es presentar un diagnóstico del consumo del calamar gigante en México y Sonora. Se realizó un análisis comparativo de las propiedades nutricionales y de los niveles de consumo del calamar gigante y los productos cárnicos. Para describir los aspectos relacionados con gustos y preferencias del consumidor del calamar gigante, se utilizaron resultados de 1,799 encuestas aplicadas en 14 ciudades del país. Los resultados de las encuestas indican que el consumo del calamar gigante, en frecuencia y cantidad, es bajo; no obstante, se encontró una tendencia hacia el consumo del calamar gigante con valor agregado. En términos generales, existen oportunidades para fomentar el consumo del calamar gigante en los ámbitos nacional y regional.

This research had the objectives to determinate the growth in diameter, commercial volume, current annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume and the commercial form factor for Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. Ex Steud., in the central area of the Rio Grande do Sul State. Backmans equation was more efficient, being selected for the adjust of the current annual increment in percentage of the commercial form factor as function of DBH. The commercial form factor variation ranged from 0.51 at 15 years of age, to a maximum value of 0.80 at 90 years old. The current annual increment in percentage of the commercial volume varied from 25.90 to 2.22 %, obtained at 15 and 90 years old, respectively.

RESUMO: O banco de sementes do solo em florestas sucessionais na região do Baixo Rio Guamá (1o10'S; 48o20'W) na Amazônia Oriental é fator determinante da regeneração natural destes ecossistemas. A maior densidade de sementes do solo ocorreu na floresta de 6 anos com 2848 sementes/m2, decrescendo para valores de 1427 sementes/m2 e 756 sementes/m2, nos ecossistemas de 17 e 30 anos, respectivamente. A composição florística do banco de sementes do solo foi dominada por espécies pioneiras como Miconia serialis (44,46%), Vismia guianensis (8,53%) e Psychotria speciosa (8,49%) na floresta sucessional de 6 anos; Miconia serialis (56,65%), Cecropia pachystachya (7,29%) e Vismia guianensis (7,00%), aos 17 anos de sucessão; e Miconia serialis (56,90%), Cecropia pachystachya (10,85%) e Piper columbrinum (8,87%) aos 30 anos. OBJETIVO: Verificar se há alterações na mecânica pulmonar de camundongos com sepse. MÉTODOS: Foram utilizados 40 camundongos Balb/c divididos em dois grupos: sobrevida (n = 21) e mecânica respiratória (n = 19). O grupo sobrevida foi dividido em três subgrupos: controle (n = 7), subletal (n = 7) e letal (n = 7). O grupo mecânica respiratória também foi dividido em três subgrupos: controle (n = 5), subletal (n = 7) e letal (n = 7). A sepse foi induzida pelo método cecal ligation and puncture, usando-se um estímulo subletal e outro letal. A mecânica pulmonar foi medida oito horas após a intervenção, utilizando-se o método da oclusão ao final da inspiração. Dentro do grupo mecânica pulmonar foram estudadas as seguintes variáveis: variação total de pressão, pressão resistiva, pressão viscoelástica, elastância dinâmica e elastância estática.
