    Bu arastirmanin amaci Ankara’daki devlet universitelerinde calisan ogretim elemanlarinin is doyumlarinin incelenmesidir. Ogretim elemanlarinin is doyumlarini inceleyen bircok arastirma olmakla birlikte, Herzberg’in iki etmen kuramina dayali olarak yapilmis arastirmalar sinirlidir. Arastirma grubu 203 ogretim elemanindan olusmaktadir. Ogretim elemanlarina Kelecioglu, Bilge ve Akman (2005) tarafindan gelistirilen Ogretim Elemanlari Is Doyumu Olcegi (OIDO) ve kisisel bilgi formu uygulanmistir. Bulgular yasi yuksek olanlarin olmayanlarinkine; ogretim uyelerinin ogretim gorevlilerinkine; yurt disinda bulunanlarin  bulunmayanlarinkine; unvani yuksek olanlarin  olmayanlarinkine; hizmet suresi fazla olanlarin olmayanlarinkine gore icsel doyumlarinin; Fen- Muhendislik alaninda calisanlarin dissal doyumlarinin sosyal bilimler alaninda calisanlarinkinden daha yuksek oldugunu gostermistir.     Bu çalışma kapsamında PISA 2006 öğrenci anketinde yer alan fen bilimlerine ilişkin tutum maddeleri, cinsiyete göre ve kültüre göre değişen madde fonksiyonu gösterip göstermediğini incelenmektedir. Değişen madde fonksiyonu (DMF)'nun cinsiyetler arası farklılıklardan kaynaklanabileceği gibi, kültürel farklılıklardan ve testlerin başka bir dile çevrilmesinde karşılaşılan sorunlardan da kaynaklanabilmektedir. Bu nedenle araştırmanın çalışma grubu PISA uygulamasına katılan ABD'den 5611 öğrenci ve Türkiye'den 4942 öğrenci olarak belirlenmiştir. Cinsiyete göre yapılan analizlerde her iki yöntemde ortak ve önemli düzeyde DMF gösteren madde sayısı Türkiye'de 7, ABD' de 13'tür. Đki ülke arasında kültüre göre her iki yöntemde yapılan analizlerde 30 maddede önemli düzeyde DMF görülmüştür. Analizler sonucu iki yöntem karşılaştırıldığında, yöntemlerin DMF belirlemede bir uyum gösterdiği; ancak düzeylerinde farklılıklar olabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

    The application of CDMs to fraction subtraction data revealed problems on the classification of examinees, latent class sizes, and the use of higher-order models. Additionally, selecting the most appropriate model assumes critical importance if there are several appropriate models available for the data. In the present study, DINA–RDINA and HODINA–HORDINA models were compared under changing conditions (i.e., number of attributes, g and s item parameter values, and number of items) with simulated and real data. The results show that for conditions where the g–s parameter values and the number of attributes were low (0.1 and 3, respectively), the reparameterized models generated values that were virtually identical to those obtained using DINA models.     In computer adaptive test (CAT), aberrant responses caused by some factors such as lucky guesses and carelessness errors may cause significant bias in ability estimation. Correct responses resulting from lucky guesses and false responses resulting from carelessness or anxiety may reveal aberrant responses and the impact of these types of aberrant responses may cause an erroneous estimation of the examinee’s actual ability because they do not reflect the examinee’s actual knowledge. In this study, the performances of regarding ability estimation were examined comparatively in the context of CAT simulations in case of aberrant responses.Under different conditions, twelve different CAT simulations were conducted with 10 replications for each of the conditions.     This study aims to analyze the differential bundle functioning in multi-dimensional tests with a specific purpose to detect this effect through differentiating the location of the item with DIF in the test, the correlation between the dimensions, the sample size, and the ratio of reference to focal group size. The first 10 items of the test that is comprised of 30 items were acknowledged as the bundle. The data in line with the parameters were generated via SAS program as two categories (1-0) and multidimensional through an extended 2PL model. Differential bundle functioning was detected via the SIBTEST procedure. The results of the study were interpreted according to the criteria of the power rate and the type I error. Validity is related to the degree of measurement capability of a certain test, which intends to measure a desired property. However, from the years which the concept of validity emerged to the present day debates about definition and classification of validity and the interpretation of its results are on-going. In this study all debates about validity from the past to the present day are examined. Originally the classification of validity was the basis of criterion referenced validity, since then, the basic psychological structure has shifted to be associated with construct validity.     Missing data is a common problem in datasets that are obtained by administration of educational and psychological tests. It is widely known that existence of missing observations in data can lead to serious problems such as biased parameter estimates and inflation of standard errors. Most of the missing data imputation methods are focused on datasets containing continuous variables. However, it is very common to work with datasets that are made of dichotomous responses of individuals to a set of test items to which IRT models are fitted. This study compared the performances of missing data imputation methods that are IRT model-based imputation (MBI), Expectation-Maximization (EM), Multiple Imputation (MI), and Regression Imputation (RI).     A Likert-type scale was used in analysis of the Attitudes Towards Smoking Scale (Tezbaşaran & Kelecioğlu, 2004) of item characteristics investigated by hierarchical log-linear models and T test. Differential item functioning according to gender and item discriminations was determined by using hierarchical log-linear models. A total of 16 items which were high item discriminate and not gender DIF were identified. Alpha coefficent was found to be 0.91. Scale items were also analyzed by T test and another 16 were obtained. This scale's Cronbach α coefficent was found to be 0.93. No significant difference between these two Cronbach α coefficients was found by using Fischer's z test. Eight items which were detected as gender DIF in log-linear models were obtained according to the T test scale.

    Meslek seçimi, genç bireylerin yaşamını pek çok açıdan etkileyecek en önemli kararlardan biridir. Bu kararın en doğru şekilde verilmesi, onların gelecek hayatındaki başarısına, yaşamdan alacağı doyuma, fiziksel ve ruhsal sağlığına kadar pek çok alan üzerinde etkili olmaktadır. Bireylerin kariyer seçiminde sadece meslek seçimi değil, aynı zamanda üniversite tercihi de önemli rol oynamaktadır. Zira üniversite tercih aşamasına gelen adayların, kariyer gelişimine farklı bir açıdan bakarak eğitim almak istedikleri üniversitenin pek çok özelliğine dikkat ettikleri görülmektedir. Öğrencilerin üniversite ve bölüm tercihlerinde öğrencinin özellikleri (sosyoekonomik düzey, yeterlilikler vb.) ve dış etkiler (aile, arkadaş, öğretmen, uzaklık, kampüs özellikleri ve tanıtım faaliyetleri vb.) önemli rol oynamaktadır. Türkiye’deki mevcut yapı incelendiğinde meslek kazanımının meslek liseleri ya da üniversite lisans eğitimi ile kazanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu nedenle adayların üniversite ve üniversitede okuyacağı bölümü seçmeleri bir anlamda gelecekte yapacakları mesleği belirlemeleri anlamına gelmektedir. Bu çalışma, bilindiği kadarıyla Türkiye’de “Üniversite ve Meslek Tercihi” konusunda yapılan en kapsamlı çalışmadır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, adayların üniversite ve meslek tercihinde hangi faktörlere dikkat etmeleri gerektiği, ebeveynlerin ve psikolojik danışmanların öğrencilere yol gösterirken nelere dikkat etmeleri gerektiği ve üniversite yönetimlerinin başarılı öğrencileri kazanmaları için ne gibi stratejiler geliştirebileceği konularında oldukça yararlı bilgiler verecektir.     This study aims at investigating the relations between the scores of the Student Selection Examination (OSS) and the Student Placement Examination (OYS), which were administered to the students entering university at a nationwide level as two successive stages. The Student Placement Examination was abolished in 1999 and since then the Student Selection Examination has become a one stage tool to achieve the goals targetted by the two examinations. In this study the validity of the OSS was investigated taking the OYS as a criterion to determine the effect of this change in the examination system on the achievement of the goals of the student selection and placement process. In the study the OSS and OYS scores of 38769 candidates, who passed OYS, taking the OSS in 1998 are considered.     The purpose of this research was to equate the test for which were constructed in different conditions through scaling methods based on item response theory and to compare the results obtained from these methods. The research was conducted with using dichotomous simulated data which was consistent with two and three parameter logistic model. In order to equate two test forms “the commonitem nonequivalent groups” was used in this research. WINGEN3 program was utilized for data generation and 50 replication were done for 36 different condition used in this research. PARSCALE 4.1 was utilized for the prediction of item parameters and IRTEQ was utilized for test equating and scaling in separate calibration. The results obtained from this simulation study were evaluated based on equating error (RMSE) criterions. Psychological tests are also used to select industrial personnel by classifying and determining a potential employee's professional skills. Traditionally, psychological tests measure differences among individuals or the responses of the same individuals under different conditions.     This study investigated the gender related Differential Item Functioning (DIF) of the 2005 University Entrance Examination (UEE) in order to decide whether a DIF item is biased. In this study, measurement specialists’ opinions were gathered and Mantel-Haenszel (MH) and Logistic Regression (LR) DIF detection methods were used. The analyses were based on the answers of 599.330 high school seniors to the Turkish, social sciences, mathematics and natural science subtests of the 2005 UEE. It was found that no items were flagged for gender DIF in the Turkish subtest. However, seven social sciences items and three mathematics and natural sciences items displayed DIF. Among these items, only one natural sciences item was identified as biased.

    Bayesian Nonparametric (BNP) modelling can be used to obtain more detailed information in test equating studies and to increase the accuracy of equating by accounting for covariates. In this study, two covariates are included in the equating under the Bayes nonparametric model, one is continuous, and the other is discrete. Scores equated with this model were obtained for a single group design for a small group in the study. The equated scores obtained with the model were compared with the mean and linear equating methods in the Classical Test Theory. Considering the equated scores obtained from three different methods, it was found that the equated scores obtained with the BNP model produced a distribution closer to the target test. Even the classical methods will give a good result with the smallest error when using a small sample, making equating studies valuable.
