The current study investigated the motives that underlie support for COVID-19 preventive behaviorsin a large, cross-cultural sample of 12,758 individuals from 34 countries. We hypothesized that the associations of empathic prosocial concern and fear of disease, with support towards preventive COVID-19 behaviors would be moderated by the individual-level and country-level trust in the government. Results suggest that the association between fear of disease and support for COVID-19 preventive behaviors was strongest when trust in the government was weak (both at individual and country-level). Conversely, the association with empathic prosocial concern was strongest when trust was high, but this moderation was only found at individual-level scores of governmental trust. We discuss how both fear and empathy motivations to support preventive COVID-19 behaviors may be shaped by socio-cultural context, and outline how the present findings may contribute to a better understanding of collect...

Tracing the life story of an entrepreneur, many ups and downs occur and are difficult to map in detail, but their track record can be clearly illustrated through the medium of film. This research aims to map out the key visuals through the scenes of Tampan Tailor, as one of the films that promoted entrepreneurship in Indonesia, through multimodality. Multimodality research will use the mixture of Cultural Performance Theory by Victor Turner and 13 Indicators of Entrepreneurship Competency by Spencer & Spencer in order to map the key elements of the film scenes. This research relies on a qualitative approach with Multimodality Discourse Analysis by O’Halloran. The visual data collected in the research shows that entrepreneurship capabilities comes from the hardships the character faced along the story, even though the character does not contribute directly to tailoring business for the first half of the film. This is strengthened by financial condition of the character and his daily ...

From the result, the development program recommended is to provide intervention for employees whose performance is still relatively moderate. Based on interviews, the constraines are giving and getting information, and difficulties to deal with dealers and consumers. VUCA is about a hyper-competitive and unpredictable environment. It stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Personal attributes are necessary to navigate the VUCA environment. Studies in entrepreneurship show that narratives help people to connect different experiences. Literature shows that a narrative journey can be described through archetypes and relate to entrepreneurial behavior. This study aims to construct and validate measurements of entrepreneurial personality by adapting Pearson & Marr's archetype inventory test within the entrepreneurial context. This study was conducted as an assessment of the measurement psychometric attributes consisting of 12 archetypes. Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) was carried out by Oblimin rotation resulting in 60 final items. This study involved 154 small and medium entrepreneurs in Jakarta and West Java.

The measurement tools that have been adapted here, comprising Research Self-Efficacy and Interest in Research. Based on previous finding, these two were more significant in predicting Research Productivity (Bieschke, Herbert, Bard, 1998). The development of these measurements was analyzed by the construct validity testing, criterion-based validity testing, and reliability testing. The result of the construct validity testing of the Research Self-Efficacy by using Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) has exhibited three dimensions namely: Research Implementation, Research Planning, and Research Teamwork. The predictive validity was analysed by using correlation testing with an instrument assessing balance scorecard measurement of entrepreneurial achievement. A sample of 149 entrepreneurs from industrial cities in Indonesia was recruited via convenience sampling.
