Normalmente, uma especificacao completa do negocio envolve a elaboracao de diferentes modelos. Uma vez que o negocio pode ser apresentada pela conjuncao desses diferentes modelos, cada um representando uma perspectiva distintas, e fundamental que eles formem um conjunto harmonico e correto. No entanto, a inconsistencia entre esses modelos acarreta uma reducao da eficiencia da organizacao. Isto e devido ao fato que eles constituem uma parte fundamental do conhecimento de uma organizacao, determinando, por exemplo, como o negocio deve operar. Portanto, o objeto desta pesquisa e desenvolver um metodo para avaliar da conformidade entre os modelos de processos de negocio e o conceitual de informacao. Para tal objetivo, esta pesquisa tem duas faces. Como se deseja ampliar os conhecimentos sobre um dado objeto face as mudancas de seu contexto e sabe-se que este contexto nesta forma que se propoe e pouco explorado na literatura, a pesquisa de natureza exploratoria e uma das faces deste trabalho. Contudo, tambem se deseja descrever o fenomeno em termos de suas dimensoes, por isso e mais adequado classificar a natureza desta pesquisa como exploratorio-descritiva. Como resultados, pretende-se conceber uma ferramenta que, a partir da modelagem dos processos de negocio em BPMN (Business Process Management Notation) e da modelagem conceitual de informacao utilizando a notacao do diagrama de classes da UML (Unified Modeling Language), e utilizando a geracao dos snapshots pela ferramenta USE (UML-based Specification Environment), garanta a conformidade entre esses modelos.

Innovation represents the search for the new that allows organisations to increase their competitiveness and face market competition. Although they have fewer resources and smaller capacities, small businesses have a number of advantages that enable the innovation process. Therefore, it is necessary to gain a greater understanding on the stage of innovation in small firms and on how the aspects of management influence their development and are useful for such organisations. In this sense, the present paper analyses the determinants of organisational management that influence the degree of innovation of small firms in the gastronomic segment. The sample of the study counted on data compilation of 67 small gastronomic firms of a northeastern state capital in Brazil collected during almost two years. The determinants of innovation were identified through the theoretical framework composed of leadership; strategies; customers; society; information and knowledge; people; processes and results. The degree of innovation was measured from the degree of sectorial innovation achieved by the innovation radar. The proposed relationships were analysed by means of multiple regression with panel data, in which the degree of innovation was the dependent variable of the model and the determinants of innovation were the independent variables. The results demonstrate that the degree of innovation is influenced mainly by the internal processes that the company develops and by the results that it achieves. On the contrary, it was verified that the regulatory aspects that the firms attend can inhibit the development of innovation. The results reinforce the importance of organisational management for the development of innovation in small business, presenting the facilities and the obstacles.

Business process modeling can involve multiple stakeholders, so it is natural that problems may occur in building and understanding them. One way to perceive these problems is to evaluate the comprehension of these models through the collection of data related to the readers’ awareness with an eye-tracking device. This device allows collecting data of specific facial reactions of the people, such as the movement of the eyes and dilation of the pupils and the number of blinks in a specified time interval. The objective of this paper is to provide an overview of researches that evaluate the understanding of process models through eye-tracking techniques. A systematic mapping study was developed to achieve this goal, following the best practices in the area of Software Engineering. This study consolidated 19 papers for the analysis and extraction of data from the 1,161 studies initially found.

Os métodos de avaliação de usabilidade consistem de processos de coleta de dados com a finalidade de analisar como os usuários usam um produto para executar suas tarefas. A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo avaliar a usabilidade de um sistema de educação à distância utilizando uma avaliação de usabilidade quantitativa através de modelos markovianos a fim de identificar falhas de usabilidade na interface. Esses modelos permitem o cálculo de uma série de medidas de interesse e têm sido utilizados com sucesso na avaliação de sistemas, mas são ainda pouco aproveitados em avaliações de usabilidade de sistemas Web.

Para tanto, a sociedade civil tem acompanhado a implantacao de politicas de transparencia que vem sendo adotadas por meio da promulgacao de legislacao que contemple, reforce e amplie a transparencia. Assim, a Carta de Servico ao Cidadao surge como mais um instrumento de informacao ao cidadao. Due the demand of markets to be more competitive in search of immediate results, reach high quality and low cost, the companies are seeking alternatives to have more quality, minimize the cost and speed up the time in a project. One example is work with a model of teams called virtual teams. In order to identify bottlenecks and difficulties encountered in this team model to minimize the risk of failures in a project, this study applied a survey to professionals of various nationalities with experience working with virtual teams based in projects guided by PMI good practices. At the end of this study was possible to quantify and relate the main problems listed by these professionals, which prevented them from completing the projects on time, cost and quality desired. Thus for each of the points mentioned it was suggested some recommendations for the application of tools and techniques most suitable in this context.

Com o passar dos anos, as pessoas sofrem mudanças causadas pelo envelhecimento, podendo obter algum tipo de deficiência visual, auditiva, motora, entre outras. Essas limitações podem representar dificuldade para o acesso a serviços prestados pela Internet, que vem crescendo cada vez mais. Nesse trabalho é realizada uma avaliação de acessibilidade do serviço de Internet Banking do Banco do Brasil utilizando o Método de Percurso de Barreiras. Com a aplicação dessa técnica foi possível identificar, avaliar o impacto e sugerir melhorias quanto a barreiras que dificultam e/ou impossibilitam a execução de tarefas por usuários idosos nesse site.

Social media have become an increasingly frequent research topic in management studies, whether in marketing for product promotion, in public relations for customer relationships, or even as a hiring tool in the area of human resources. However, the vast majority of studies are concerned with analyzing how information may be disclosed in social media, with few management studies dealing with the employment of User-Generated Content (UGC) in these media. In this study, we sought to make a systematic review of studies that addressed this issue with the purpose of using UGC for the improvement of organizational processes. As a result of this systematic review, we noted the paucity of studies related to this, although we found some interesting results for public organizations and those that generate content.

The process of change that is happening in the contemporary world reaches inevitably the public sector. The search for more effective management to provide quality and efficient services to citizens has been the target to be reached by moderns governments. Within this perspective the study of information systems on public organizations is strategic. In this sense, this paper aims to investigate transparency in the electronic system of purchases of the Federal Government of Brazil, the ComprasNet, with the perspective of usability. In other words, this study evaluated whether the non-functional requirement of usability has been contemplated in the ComprasNet system interfaces to meet the transparency criteria. This article is designed from a qualitative exploratory approach about the use of ComprasNet. To achieve the goal, it was performed semi-structured interviews and a field research using the observation method with system users. As a result of this research, we found that the deficiency in the ComprasNet use is caused, in most cases, by the lack of usability rules in their interfaces. In addition, the present study suggests changes in interfaces that will improve the usability of the system and in its transparency.

Two fundamental principles and values of agile methods are customer satisfaction by rapid delivery of useful software and the improvement of the communication process by continuous stakeholders' involvement. But, how to deal with customers' satisfaction and find a better visualization model at the requirements level (which stakeholders can understand and be involved) in an agile development context? Also, how this visualization model enhancement can guarantee consistency between agile requirements artefacts (e.g., user stories and domain models)? Thus, to answer these questions, this paper presents the SnapMind framework. This framework aims to make the requirements modelling process more user-centered, through the definition of a visual requirements language, based on mind maps, model-driven and domain specific language techniques. Moreover, through these techniques, the SnapMind framework focuses on support for consistency between user stories and the domain models using a model animation technique called snapshots. The framework was applied to an industrial case study to investigate its feasibility.

ABSTRACT Requirements Engineering establishes the process for defining requirements as one in which elicitation, modeling and analysis are tasks which must be carried out. This process should involve different stakeholders and their different viewpoints. Among these stakeholders, there is the software designer, responsible for creating models based on the information gathered by business specialists. However, this communication channel may create some "noise" that leads to information being lost. This loss produces a semantic gap between what is desired and what will be developed. The semantic gap is characterized by inconsistencies in the requirements represented by scenarios – user stories in a behavior-driven context – and by the conceptual model. This paper presents an interactive approach to the agile requirements modeling, thus fostering greater consistency between the artifacts of the scenarios and the conceptual model. This consistency is ensured by using a mind model specification which will serve as a basis for transforming the definitions of the scenario and generating a conceptual model represented by a UML class diagram. The mind model represents the main role of this approach, and functions as a bond that represents the business entities, thus enabling the requirements to be more consistent with the reality of the business.

A traducao do conteudo web para Libras, embora adequada nem sempre e passivel de implementacao devido ao seu elevado custo. Desta forma, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo identificar e propor possiveis solucoes para as potenciais rupturas de comunicacao na interacao de usuarios surdos bilingues em sistemas de informacao web corporativos . A analise das interacoes ocorreu na Intranet da Fundacao Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), utilizando-se o Metodo de Avaliacao de Comunicabilidade (MAC) da Engenharia Semiotica. Os resultados indicaram que apesar da populacao estudada possuir experiencia na web, apresentam dificuldades na utilizacao do sistema corporativo.

This paper proposes a systematic approach to incorporate reconfigurability in a set of validated business process models by the Brazilian Federal Government. Inspired by the Software Product Lines paradigm, our idea is to create families of business processes, where feature models are used to represent the commonalities and variabilities of each family. Em virtude da exigencia de um mercado competitivo em busca de resultados imediatos e com alto grau de qualidade e baixo custo, as empresas vem buscando alternativas. Um exemplo e o uso cada vez mais frequente de um novo modelo de equipes chamado de equipes virtuais. No intuito de identificar gargalos e dificuldades encontrados neste modelo de equipe para minimizar os riscos de insucessos num projeto, este trabalho aplicou um questionario aos profissionais de varias nacionalidades com experiencia em trabalhar com equipes virtuais guiados pelo PMI. Ao final deste trabalho foi possivel quantificar e relacionar os principais problemas pontuados por esses profissionais, que os impediam de concluir os projetos no tempo, custo e qualidade desejados. Com isso para alguns dos pontos mais citados, foram sugeridas algumas recomendacoes em forma de um guia para aplicacao das ferramentas e tecnicas mais adequadas neste contexto.

This paper aimed to research the behavior of functionally illiterate users, identifying important characteristics that should consider in an evaluation of accessibility. Mas e importante lembrar que esses sistemas deverao atender diferentes pessoas, sendo que algumas delas podem ter limitacoes fisica, motora, auditiva ou visual. A presente pesquisa teve por objetivo avaliar como as pessoas cegas interagem com os sistemas de conversacao da rede SACI e do site TERRA. Foram identificados problemas que podem impedir ou dificultar o acesso e o entendimento do conteudo e gerou-se recomendacoes que podem contribuir para que os sistemas sejam mais acessiveis e de facil uso para esse grupo de pessoas.

Engineers1, artists and craftsmen have long-established models to try out projects before running them. This makes the ideas and solutions proposed in the models clear enough to be perceived or understood. Similarly, the use of business process models can contribute to the specification of software requirements, facilitating the understanding and communication of the business from the point of view of software designers, as well as the managers. However, there is little research that examines whether BPMN business process models are more effective in their understanding than other representations, such as textual descriptions. This paper presents a research carried out with people from the management field, some who are familiar with and some who do not know BPMN, to verify if there are significant differences in terms of understanding the BPMN models in comparison to a textual representation. The results show that the lack of understanding of the BPMN models can reflect in a loss of communication between the managers, the ones who understand the business, and the developers, professionals of the area of computer science who consolidate the processes in software requirements.

Purpose This paper aims to systematize the contextual factors that influence the intention to use citizens and governments-initiated platforms, presenting them as non-functional requirements (NFRs), to facilitate their understanding to implementers. Design/methodology/approach A systematic mapping of the literature was done to identify the contextual factors from citizens and governments (C2G) adoption, followed by a survey applied to 938 potential users of this type of technology. The results were analyzed through logistic regression to understand the impact of the contextual factors on the intention to use C2G platforms and then those contextual factors were formalized as NFRs represented by a Softgoal Interdependence Graph.
