This paper discusses the relationship between the religiosity of
the so-called ‘Celtic’ populations and Nature, showing the necessity to revise concepts and supporting the perspective of a lived landscape marked by the interaction between ‘man’ and ‘environment’. In order to achieve that, my argument will take into consideration the ancient sources on the 'Celts' and anthropological interpretations regarding animism.
