Electronic Speed Supervisor, a device that discloses the real-time speed of express bus to passengers is proposed for express bus to solve both intentional speed violation and faulty engine speed limiter. Ex-ante cost-benefit analysis is carried out to assist managers in making decision between alternatives; (1) investment of RM3,000 per bus with monthly maintenance of RM100 per bus, (2) monthly rental and maintenance of RM300 per bus. Additional fare of 50cents per passenger is charged to gain revenue. alternative (1) is found to produce a better net present value, NPV and benefit cost ratio, BCR.

The multi-group analysis based on the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used to test the moderation effects of gender in the relationships between Work Family Conflict (W to FC) and Job Satisfaction (JS)/Family Work Conflict (F to WC) and Job Satisfaction (JS). Using convenience sampling technique, data was collected from 273 respondents who work as academicians in private universities in Bangladesh. The finding of this research is that gender doesn’t moderate the relationships between W to FC and JS/F to WC and JS. This study has added value to the Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour literature by determining the circumstances that influence both directions of W-FC on job satisfaction.

This paper aims to examine the use of succession planning, flexibility and communication to ensure female participation in the leadership positions in the Ready Made Garments (RMG) industry of Bangladesh. Study used quantitative strategy and cross-sectional survey method to collect the data from 250 employees with education level of intermediate to masters. Results demonstrated that more than 90% of participants rated the level of succession planning, flexibility and communication used in RMG organisations as low to bring females into leadership positions. Since, no study identifying the use of three antecedents in Bangladesh has been conducted so far, significance of this study lies in highlighting the exact antecedents to be improved in RMG organizations of Bangladesh to increase female participation in leadership positions.

Taking an upper echelon theoretical perspective in public sector higher education, this systematic literature review had quadruple objectives. First, to identify the gap in the existing literature on transformational leadership (TL). Second, to suggest a comprehensive instrument for a higherorder construct of TL. Third, to propose a rigorous research framework for future empirical research, and fourth, to propose an appropriate research methodology for that empirical research. Using a systematic literature review approach, various databases were accessed to obtain current literature on the topic. Transformational leadership constructs were extensively explored for current concept developments and available measurement scales. A research model was proposed according to transformational leadership, and upper echelon theoretical frames and appropriate research methodology was recommended. The study found that the research on the TL, its antecedents, factors, and outcomes were still bei...

The aim of this study is to investigate the factors influencing the entrepreneurial success of rural women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. Non-probability sampling specifically convenience sampling is used to draw the sample and data is collected using the self-administered survey. Regression analysis and descriptive statistics are used to analyze the data. The study discloses that motivational factors, government policy and financial support have significant influence on the rural women entrepreneurial success in Bangladesh. Due to lack of suitable training and proper development as well as ICT knowledge, the rural women of Bangladesh could not accomplish the achievement. Half of the total populations of Bangladesh are female and most of them live in rural areas. Therefore, the government and the policymakers in Bangladesh should develop the potential of rural women entrepreneurs by providing development facilities, proper training, and ICT knowledge.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to confirm that work to family conflict (W to FC), family to work conflict (F to WC) and work family balance (WFB) are the predictors of job satisfaction (JS) for Malaysian academic community. To achieve the fundamental objective, the authors first test the direct (structural model) effects of W to FC and F to WC on JS. Secondly, using mediation model, the indirect effects of WFB were calculated through W to FC, F to WC and JS. Design/methodology/approach Using convenience sampling, the data was collected from 280 academic people who work at private universities in Malaysia. Structural equation modelling technique was applied to complete the data analyses procedures. Findings The findings revealed that W to FC and F to WC have negative significant effects on JS. Besides, WFB partially mediates only the relationship between W to FC and JS while no mediation effect was found for F to WC and JS. Research limitations/implications All the research var...

In this paper, we examine how servant leadership and psychological safety may enlighten our understanding of human mechanisms that affect follower outcomes. Servant leadership style as penned by Robert Greenleaf that servant leaders guide followers to adopt the behavior of their leaders by putting others needs above their own. From emerging research on servant leadership, we proposed a model contending that servant leaders increase employees’ psychological safety that organization is a safe place to speak up ideas, opinions and take decisions, which directly influences Employees’ turnover intention. As proposed, servant leadership will be negatively related to Employees’ turnover intention and positively related to psychological safety. Psychological safety will mediate the relationship between servant leadership and turnover intention.

This study examines the role of green human resource management (GHRM) practices, such as green recruitment and selection, green training, green performance management, green involvement and green rewards, and pays attention on the turnover intention of the millennial employees working in the hotels (3-, 4- and 5-star). Moreover, the study examines the moderating role of work environment on the relationship between those GHRM practices and turnover intention. Researchers collected 162 useful survey questionnaires from 200 distributed questionnaire among the millennial employees, who work in hotels. Analysis of the data through partial least squares structural equation modelling reveals that the green involvement and green pay and reward only impact on reducing turnover intention of millennials while other GHRM practices do not have direct impact on turnover intention of millennials. Interestingly, this study does not find any moderating effect of work environment on the relationship...

Internet banking experience varies across different situations in various countries and, in turn, generate dissimilar attitudes and behaviours of banking customers. One region that is experiencing difficulties related to Internet banking and where bank managers remain unsuccessful in persuading bank customers to adopt Internet banking is Iraqi Kurdistan Region (IKR). To enhance the extant knowledge of the reasons behind this issue, the current research focused on identifying the determinants of Internet banking adoption in IKR and sought to investigate the effect of benefit factors (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived system quality) and sacrifice factors (perceived cost and perceived risk) on behavioural intention to use and, in turn, actual use of internet banking in IKR. To achieve this aim, this research conceptualized a model inspired by Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study conducted a quantitative approach and used a self-administrated questionna...
