The aim of this dissertation is to make a descriptive analysis of the translation into Polish of the novel Barba ensopada de sangue by Brazilian Daniel Galera. The novel was published in 2012 by Companhia das Letras, in São Paulo. The Polish translation, Broda zalana krwią, made by Wojciech Charchalis was published in 2016 by Rebis, in Poznań. The main objective is to analyze the orality present in the novel, especially proper names and vocative case, nonstandard language, colloquial expressions, regional expressions and swear words. The role of the translator is also examined in the process of introduction of a Brazilian novel into the Polish literary system. The analysis of the Polish translation of the novel and the Brazilian corresponding text is based on the model of describing literary translations elaborated by José Lambert and Hendrik van Gorp (1985). The works in the field of Descriptive Translation Studies are explored, especially the contributions of Itamar Even-Zohar (1990), Gideon Toury (1995), James Holmes (1988), Theo Hermans (1985), Susan Bassnett (2002 [1980]; 1998), and André Lefevere (1985; 1992a; 1992b). The ideas of Lawrence Venuti (1995; 1988), Antoine Berman (2002 [1984], 2012 [1985]), Andrew Chesterman (2009) and Paulo Henriques Britto (2010) are equally used. It can be concluded that the role of the Polish translator Wojciech Charchalis is fundamental in the introduction of a Brazilian novel into the Polish literary system, as he is the one who chooses the novel, translates it and publishes it. The colloquial style of the language and the regional expressions from the Southern Brazil present in the source text are translated into Polish using colloquial expressions and, rarely, neutral ones. Sometimes, colloquial expressions are used in the target text in the fragments where they are absent in the source text. Some characteristics of the style of the source text are modified. These characteristics include: detailed descriptions, the use of the diminutive and augmentative forms, deviations in writing and grammar. The Polish translator tends to foreignize the text by inserting proper names and some cultural expressions in Portuguese, but mainly, by producing phrases in the target text that resemble the ones in the source text.
Consolidated in Spanish America since the 1970s, minifiction only reached its maturity in Brazil at the turn of the twenty-first century. In the country, there are still scarce studies of this fictional genre marked by brevity, expressive intensity, narrativity and generic hybridity, features that abound in microtales books by Dalton Trevisan, Marina Colasanti and Fernando Bonassi, among others. Paradoxical in its form and content, microfiction often dialogues with other literary and extraliterary genres, collecting various references and replanting them in the fertile soil of interdisciplinarity, from where they thrive as another artistic expression. As a kind of "anti-avant-garde", minifiction appeals to tradition and then subverts it and overcomes it, demolishing in this movement the walls that segregate and categorize genres and knowledge. The challenge of microfiction author is to write stories that are simultaneously tale and graffiti, photography and poem, film and haikai, headline and aphorism, without ever forgetting to be, in the fever of transgression, what they first propose to be: fictions of minimum proportions and maximum effect.

Abstract: Queer infants populate the school curriculum. These are childhoods that, because they do not meet the regulatory norms of gender and sexuality, are read as deviant, monstrous and abnormal. Such childhoods are not recognized by the standards of intelligibility that institute what is to be infantile in our time. This master's dissertation analyzes what the curriculum does with the children who experience this childhood and the movements of resistance and creation of possible that the infantile queer forge in the curricular territory. Working with concepts drawn from post-critical curriculum theories, queer studies and philosophies of difference by Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze, the general argument of this dissertation is that queer childhoods are present in the school curriculum, resisting gender norms and creating ways of life deviant. These ways of life are characterized by a transient and deviant attitude towards the gender-sexuality system and find in queer friendship a place of survival, creation, and dissemination of possible. These childhoods are crossed and made up of three different lines: the line of precariousness (abject childhood), the line of aesthetics (childhood that scares and fascinates) and the line of politics (childhood that fights and resists). They are infants who, in an attitude of refusal to the masculinities and femininities that are imposed on them as natural and recognizable, choose to live in another way, deviant, and minority. These ways of life, invented by queer children, though traversed by the sign of abjection, draw and disseminate in the curriculum the joy and power of another childhood, which breaks gender-form and makes the difference proliferate. The research was carried out in a public school in Belo Horizonte, with classes from the first years of elementary school, using, as a methodological resource, the cartography and the queer analysis of the information produced in the field.
