One of the major issues facing humankind is global food security. A changing climate, coupled with a heightened consumer awareness of how food is produced and legislative changes governing the usage of agrichemicals for improving plant health and yield, means that alternative, more integrated and sustainable approaches are needed for crop management practices. To this end, there is increasing recognition of the value of the role of microbial inoculants in agriculture. The focus of this review is to understand how plant-growth-promoting bacteria and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi can play a part in improving crop yield by promoting the health status of the plant through the sequestration of various nutrients and in the control of plant diseases.

Condition of food security in India is gloomy and is similar to African countries. Both the supply side and demand side factors have their roles in the present condition of food security and undernourishment in India. This study supports that if agriculture production grows; increasing food prices has less bearing on low food security. Problem of food security in India is very much related to low demand. If demand of people can be improved, food security can be achieved. Disaggregated trend of food security shows that problem of food insecurity is high in poor states. Considering disaggregated level of food security, government has passed Food Security Bill in India. Our analysis points out that food security cannot be achieved in India without improving the level of overall agriculture production. Improving agricultural production is essential for ensuring long term food security and promoting poverty reduction. State level condition of storage capacity of food grains also points out that how a state like Bihar with low storage facility will manage to implement this Bill. Without identifying role of market, success of Food Security Bill and reduction of poverty is distant dream.

Early childhood education is one of the educational institutions that plays an important role to help the government prepare young generation as early as possible, in accordance with the purpose of early childhood education that helps lay the groundwork towards the development of behavioral attitude, knowledge, skills and creativity required by the students. This research essentially aims to provide a more in-depth description of the Identification Analysis of Educational Game Device Gaming (APE) in Developing Smooth Motorics of Early Childhood. Where the results of this study ultimately obtained data describing the Identification Analysis of Educational Game Utilization Equipment (APE) In Developing Smooth Motorik Anak Early Childhood. The paper presents a plan that drive transformation in agriculture and
ultimately the food sector in Nepal. The academia have constructed a socioeconomic mechanism that mobilizes the available natural resources in a sustainable and organize way to guarantee the food security of the entire country. It defines the plan purpose of “re-organizing the production segment and modernizing the food market” with creative institutional practice in Public Private PPP Model, formation of multidisciplinary stakeholders' network and applied technologies.

Upaya pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak usia dini secara pokok merupakan tugas keluarga dan dibantu oleh kader Posyandu melalui kegiatan Posyandu. Program Posyandu dilakukan di setiap desa oleh kader yang telah diberi pengetahuan dan pelatihan oleh para petugas kesehatan untuk memasyarakatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan, terutama pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak pada para orang tua. Abstract: The development of aromatic sensor array instrument for the detection of alcohol in perfume. The research was conducted by developing the sensor array using 8 sensors made of metal oxide semiconductor. The sensor types used in this study consisted of TGS 813, TGS 822, TGS 2600, TGS 826, TGS 2611, TGS 2620, TGS 2612 and TGS 2602. Response patterns of 8 sensors formed a sensor array pattern used to detect the aroma of 2 groups of samples perfume made from the essential oil of ginger. The first sample group is pure ginger atsiri oil without mixed alcohol. The second sample group was made from the ginger atsiri oil mixed with alcohol with a level of 0.02 M. The results of the data recording show that the developed instrument is able to dissect the first sample group with the second sample group. Abstract: The study empirically examined the profitability of gender operated pineapple
production farms and the productivity of the factors employed in the production process. The
primary data for the analysis were collected, through the administration of questionnaire, using
multistage sampling technique, leading to the selection of 50 male and 50 female producers for
the study. Data were analyzed using budgetary analysis and inferential statistics, employing the
maximum likelihood estimation method. The result of the profitability analysis showed that the
business was profitable for the genders, with a mean net income of N503,140.94 and
N664,154.55 per hectare accruing to the male and female farmers respectively. It was revealed
that the business was quite feasible for the genders with the males, having net returns on
investment of 272.44% and the females having 196.80% as the net returns on investment. The
productivity analysis showed that hired labour, miscellaneous operating expenses and marketing
cost were the main productive resources for the males while family labour, hired labour and
marketing cost were the main productive factors for the females. The study recommended the
provision of basic amenities in the rural communities, revitalization of tractor hiring scheme, the
use of herbicides in the control of weeds, making of loans available and accessible for the
farmers and the farmers embracing co-operative society.

This paper presents, between early twentieth century and the
present, the evolution of the agricultural production in the Alentejo, with the aim of understanding the existence of structural changes in the agriculture of the largest and currently most important Portuguese agricultural region.
Analysing the production of cereals, legumes, wine, olive oil and potatoes, it can be concluded that, after a long period of stability, in the last twenty years there has been a radical change in the Alentejo agricultural structure with the appearance of new crops, while some of the more traditional ones are quickly losing preponderance. In the end, we discuss some of the main explanatory factors of this phenomenon, such as public policies, markets and, above all, the impact of irrigation growth in southern Portugal.

A symposium on "Strategies for Improving Persistence of Forage Legumes" was held at the 1992 ASA-CSSA-SSSA annual meetings in Minneapolis. The symposium presenters were invited to write a synopsis of the symposium for publication as a Contemporary Issues article rather than a series of papers. Soil sampling to the depth of plant root growth is an effective practice that may reduce fertilizer applications and the potential for leaching loss to groundwater. The objective of this study was to compare the utility of a power auger with traditional core sampling techniques for sampling soils for NO 3 − -N. Since the practical use of NO 3 − -N sampling is to help determine future fertilizer needs, the two methods were compared in production fields with known differentials in N applications. ABSTRACT The rate of groundwater seepage into acid mine lakes can alter the biogeochemical conditions at the water-sediment interface, which control the release of acidity into the lake water. In turn long-term water quality depends on the rate of groundwater seepage. Therefore quantifying the spatial and temporal variability of lake-groundwater exchange is a great concern in remediation of such lakes. Groundwater-lake exchange was investigated in an acid mine lake in Eastern Germany using seepage meters, vertical chloride and temperature profiles and fibre optic distributed temperature sensing (DTS). During a year with relatively constant lake level distinct spatial patterns of groundwater inflow and outflow could be detected by using seepage meters. Seepage rates were found to be steady in time but highly variable in space (2-3 orders of magnitude). A general pattern with influent conditions (groundwater inflow) in the north and effluent conditions in the south was observed. Along the eastern and western shores of the lake transitional conditions were found. Local hot spots with groundwater seepage rates in excess of 200mm/d were found in the deeper sections of the lake suggesting preferential seepage via high-conductivity zones in the underlying aquifer. Local seepage rates from seepage meters could be verified with flux rates inverted from vertical chloride profiles obtained from pore water peepers at several locations. To identify further possible hot spots of groundwater seepage thermal anomalies were mapped on a smaller scale near the north shore using fibre optic distributed temperature sensing (DTS). Areas of preferential up-welling of groundwater are expected to show a lower daily temperature amplitude at the water-sediment interface than areas with little groundwater inflow. Areas with distinct anomalies in amplitude could be identified, which will serve as additional locations for further point measurements. In a planned lake-level manipulation experiment seepage rates will be altered to investigate the effects of temporal changes on biogeochemical processes and acidity generation.

The aims of this research is to identify the Children abuse faced by the elementary students in Malang City. The research design used in this research is descriptive research. The  pupolation of this research were the students of elementary school in 3,4,5 and 6 grade, specifically in Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Malang City.By using random sampling with 347 students as sample, it was identified that there the students’ abuse covers physical abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse. Based on the  age, the students who received the abuse are around 8 years old (14%),  9 years old (23%), 10 years old(31%), 11 years old (21%), 12 years old (8%), and 13 (3%). Kompetensi asesmen pada pembelajaran dan perkembangan anak usia dini (AUD) merupakan kompetensi pedagogis yang sangat penting dimiliki para pendidik PAUD guna mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data mengenai perkembangan anak yang selanjutnya akan digunakan untuk kebutuhan pembelajaran di PAUD. Namun, pada kenyataannya kompetensi ini masih kurang dipahami dan dikuasai oleh para pendidik PAUD. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang penguasaan kompetensi dalam asesmen pembelajaran dan perkembangan AUD sehingga memberikan hasil sebagai berikut: 1) kualifikasi akademik tidak mendukung penguasaan kompetensi asesmen pembelajaran dan perkembangan AUD; 2) pendidik PAUD yang diteliti sebanyak 25 orang (89,3%) menyatakan mereka tahu kompetensi asesmen pembelajaran seperti yang disyaratkan oleh Permendiknas No. 58 Tahun 2009 dan hanya 3 orang (10,7%) yang menyatakan tidak tahu;  3) pendidik PAUD yang diteliti sebagian besar  (96,5%) telah pernah mengikuti pelatihan asesmen pembelajara...

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh kegiatan senam irama terhadap kecerdasan kinestetik pada anak kelompok B TK Mustabaqul Khoir palembang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B1 dengan jumlah 16 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen desain Pre-Experimental Designs dengan jenis One-Shot Case Study. Several types of mushrooms such as white oyster mushrooms, shiitake and straw have a protein content with a high proportion of glutamic acid so that they can be utilized as broth powder. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of dextrin concentration and drying time and the best treatment on the physicochemical and organoleptic characteristics of mushroom broth powder. The study used the factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) method, where the first factor was dextrin concentration (7.50%, 12.50%, 17.50%) and the second factor was drying time (8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours). The data were analyzed by using ANOVA and further tests used LSD or DMRT. The organoleptic test was carried out by using the Hedonic Scale Scoring test and the best treatment was chosen by using the Zeleny method. The cornucopia of benefits brought by science and technology to agriculture in the present century seems almost without limit. Prosperity for the farmer and better and cheaper food resulting in more nutritious and balanced diets for people are the broadest of the effects. The change in the economy of the farm is amazing: in 1920, 40°70 of the U.S. workforce labored inside the farm gate; in 1995, about 1.8070 does so. Even more amazing is that during this same time period, the productivity of the American farm skyrocketed. These beneficial developments are not without their undesirable and uncertain side effects, many of which came about due to public and private mismanagement rather than the technology of agriculture itself. As we discuss correcting those misfires, let us jump ahead to the first third of the next century to see how agriculture may change even further. First, in agriculture we will continue to see the general pattern of replacing human skills with knowledge and capabilities imbedded in machines, supplies, and devices. One example of this process is the robotization of agriculture. Until now, robots have been primarily indoor factory tools used as substitutes for human labor. As the result of research at NASA and the Department of Defense, robots will acquire mobility, weatherization, on-board intelligence, and other desirable features, making it practical for them to operate outdoors. Their uses will not be limited to agriculture, but will include mining, undersea work, construction, and other heavy, dangerous tasks of all sorts. The farmer will be less and less visible and the machines of automated agriculture more and more prominent. The farmer will spend much time indoors, operating, monitoring, planning, controlling, data gathering, and decision making about an ever more informatized farm. The farm itself, like urban facilities, homes, buildings, streets, and other structures, will become smart in all of its aspects-self-monitoring and, to a large extent, self-operating and self-correcting. ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the ability to count the beginning of kindergarten children group B village Lengkongsari Tasikmalaya City. This is based on the importance of numeracy skills for early childhood. In addition, the ability to start counting also needs to be developed so that children have the readiness to continue to higher education again that is elementary school. This research is descriptive research using survey method. Population in this research is kindergarten children group B Se-village Lengkongsari Tasikmalaya City. The data retrieval technique is using purposive sampling. The population of this research is Children of Kindergarten of Lengkongsari Urban Village. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran serta strategi orang tua dalam menghilangkan rasa canggung anak usia dini di Desa Karangbong rt. 06 rw. 02 Gedangan-Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif  dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pemilihan subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu berjumlah dua keluarga. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi serta penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of adding various types of polysaccharides (CMC, xanthan gum, pectin, agar) and the percentage of polysaccharides (0.5% and 1%) on the characteristics of cucumber sorbet with a low proportion of sugar. This study uses a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with eight treatments and three replications. The results show that the interaction between the types of polysaccharides and the percentage of polysaccharides significantly affects the value of brightness (L) and yellowness (b+) of the sorbet. Based on the results of this study, the best treatment for cucumber sorbet is the cucumber sorbet using 1% xanthan gum. Cucumber sorbet using polysaccharides and a low proportion of sugar can be made as a type of frozen snack that is beneficial to the human body.

This research is based on the results of preliminary studies that have been conducted by researchers regarding the importance of brushing teeth. Brushing teeth in children aged 4-5 years is not explained in detail in the curriculum and has an impact on the difficulties faced by teachers in selecting and designing learning media to brush their teeth, therefore researchers design learning media with approaches that are appropriate to the conditions of children in the field. A tool is needed for evaluating the biological and economic consequences of alternative technologies and management strategies on the dairy farm. This report views the development of a dairy forage system model (DAFOSYM) and demonstrates the use of this tool by examining alternatives in alfalfa hay production. DAFOSYM was produced by integrating models of crop growth, harvest, storage, and feed use. Growth models for corn (CERES-Maize) and alfalfa (ALSIM1) simulate crop production over historical daily weather for given soils. Alfalfa harvest includes mowing, field drying, and baling where losses and quality changes are functions of the mechanical treatment, field curing time, and daily weather. Storage losses and quality changes are influenced by the type of storage and the crop moisture content. Crop rotations are designed to increase productivity and reduce costs. These advantages are contingent upon favorable weather and require appropriate management. Unpredictable weather poses risks to dryland crop production. Information on how weather affects yields in different cropping systems and how farmers could respond with management would help minimize risk and stabilize yield and income. We evaluated the effects of preseason and growing season weather variability on continuous and sequential cropping of corn, sorghum, and soybean in a 12-yr span, and suggest how management decisions could influence cropping system performance.
