Bricks are one of the most important items of construction activities. India is the second largest brick producer in the world. It is continuously expanding on account of a rapid increase in demand for bricks in infrastructure and housing project. In order to meet this demand, over 150,000 brick units provide direct employment to more than 8 million workers. The annual turnover of the industry is Rs. 8000 crore (Approx). With the restriction in use of clay in manufacturing of bricks, fly ash brick is best substitute for it. Growing awareness among the prospective and potential building & consistent efforts by Govt. fly ash brick is incorporate in the schedule of various construction agencies. With the change of demand of the society, fly ash bricks are gradually increasing day by day not only in the metropolitan cities but also in urban & rural sector. All construction works are dependent on bricks. This research paper presents a comparison of fly ash bricks and clay bricks. Data is collected through questionnaires and personal interviews targeting Consultants, Engineers, and Traders. A prospective observational study of neonates and infants with biopsy proven Hirschsprung's disease was carried out from March 2004 through March 2006. Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases causing optic nerve damage leading to progressive, irreversible vision loss.The exact causes of optic nerve damage from glaucoma are not fully understood, but it involves mechanical compression and/or decreased blood flow of the optic nerve. The most common type is open-angle glaucoma and angle- closure glaucoma, while the less common forms being the secondary glaucomas. It has been seen earlier that this disease may be linked with other physiological conditions like eye power (hypermetropia / myopia), blood sugar levels, blood pressure etc. and non-physiological factors like age, gender and family history. This review tries to further elucidate on these links and their biological significances with surveys (in both rural and urban areas), followed by statistical analysis (Chi-squared Tests).The results illustrate that high Ocular Perfusion Pressures and prolonged hyperglycemia are strong risk factors for glaucoma (chances of glaucoma are heightened with diabetic retinopathy), myopia or nearsightedness is closely related to glaucoma and glaucoma may or may not have a sex bias. Our studies have further opened up avenues towards new approaches for treating glaucoma, like, female sex hormones might be used as a therapeutic potential or treatment on a genetic level.

This study was proposed to explore the determinants of consumer preferences in Addis Ababa restaurants. Using consumer behavior literatures and theories it was hypothesized that disposable income, price, quality, hygiene practices, friendliness of restaurant staff, safety of food and range or menu variety are important determinants of consumer choice for restaurants. Primary data were generated from 265 customers of 55 restaurants randomly selected with the use of questionnaire of which 258 of the questionnaire ended usable. The non parametric hypothesis testing statistical tool, chi –square tests, and measures of variation were used for statistical analysis purposes. The anticipation of the researcher was that the hypothesis testing results would be significant in parallel with the hypothesized facts. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) Scoring (Buysse et al. 1989) is a powerful method to measure the sleep quality index based on the scores of various factors namely duration of sleep, sleep disturbance, sleep latency, day dysfunction due to sleepiness, sleep efficiency, need meds to sleep and overall sleep quality. Mainly we focused on the smart phones' usage and its impact on the quality of sleep at the bed time. Many studies have proved that the usage of smart phones at bed time affects the sleep quality, health and productivity. In the present study, we have collected data randomly from the middle-aged adults and observed the relation between gender and the quality of sleep using phi coefficient. It is clearly observed that as we move from males to females, we move negatively from good sleep quality to poor sleep quality. It indicates that males have poor sleep quality than females. We also performed an analysis of variance to test the hypothesis that there is any association between the smart phones' usage and its impact on quality of sleep at bed time.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin mobil uygulama indirme tercihlerini etkileyen faktörlerin belirlenmesi ve bu faktörlerin çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesidir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan ve 14 tanesi bireylerin mobil uygulama indirme tercihlerini ortaya koymayı amaçlayan, 7 tanesi ise katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini belirlemeyi amaçlayan toplam 21 sorudan oluşan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Söz konusu anket formu 2018-2019 Öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 227 öğrenciye yüz yüze anket yoluyla uygulanarak araştırmanın verileri elde edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin mobil uygulama indirme tercihleri ile ilgili görüşlerinin dağılımı frekans tabloları oluşturularak; bu görüşlerin çeşitli demografik değişkenlere göre dağılımı ise çapraz tablolar oluşturularak ve ki-kare testi yapılarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen başlıca bulgulara göre, öğrencilerin %72,7 gibi bir çoğunluğunun indirdiği mobil uygulamanın yerli bir uygulama olup olmadığına dikkat etmediği, %97,4 gibi yüksek bir çoğunluğunun ise sadece ücretsiz uygulamaları indirme yönünde hareket ettiği belirlenmiştir. Çapraz tablo ve ki-kare testi sonucundaki bulgulara göre ise, sadece ücretsiz uygulamalara yönelimin kız öğrencilerde anlamlı derecede daha fazla olduğu, erkek öğrencilerin ücretli uygulamalara daha fazla eğilim gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir. Benzer şekilde öğrencilerin mobil uygulama indirme tercihlerinde farklı değişkenler için de anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.
