Abstract: We report on the first results of an experiment designed to investigate properties of communicative feedback produced by non-attentive listeners in dialogue. Listeners were found to produce less feedback when distracted by an ancillary task. A decreased number of feedback expressions communicating understanding was a particularly reliable indicator of distractedness. The 35th CIHA World Congress presents a unique experiment:
for the first time a CIHA Congress takes place in two different
locations and in two different moments: in Florence, Italy, 1–6
September 2019, and in São Paulo, Brazil, 13–18 September 2020.
The whole Congress is dedicated to the general topic of MOTION
and invites the international community of scholars to discuss
fundamental aspects of art and architecture under this heading
in a broad transcultural perspective, from earliest times to the
present. The Congress is conceived as a strong collaboration
between the two national CIHA committees, who are responsible
for their respective venues and who have been creating formats
for a dialogue between the two events, such as joint sessions in
each place. The venues focus on two major, though not mutually
exclusive, aspects of MOTION: Transformation in Florence
and Migrations in São Paulo. The two committees are pleased
to announce this intense collaboration and welcome you
to an extraordinary transcontinental debate about the most
challenging concerns of art history and related fields today.

This paper focuses on the perception and production of the English alveolar stops (/t / and /d/) in syllable coda by Brazilian learners of English. In the production test, the participants read a list of English sentences containing alveolar stops in word-final position. The preceding and following phonological contexts were controlled, so that the effect of context on the production of the alveolar stops could be analyzed. The perception test consisted of an oddity discrimination task where the target obstruents were either unreleased, aspirated, palatalized or produced with a paragogic vowel. The results of the production investigation show that the learners tended to unrelease the obstruents, but several tokens were aspirated, palatalized or produced with a paragogic vowel. As regards the relationship between perception and production of word-final /t / and /d/, a positive correlation was found between the discrimination and production rates. Drawing on our experiences in developing a new governance model for the Canadian Health Network, in this paper we argue that there is currently no agreement about a prescriptive or ideal model of non-profit governance. Rather we suggest that within the current diversity of thought about governance there is an exciting opportunity to create new models which are hybrids of existing and emerging models with the selection of the best model based on a contingency approach. The paper begins with a review and critique of the normative and academic literatures on non-profit boards looking at the assumptions which inform each. The paper then characterizes existing governance models along two dimensions: established vs. innovative and unitary vs. pluralistic. Google Meet adalah layanan komunikasi video yang dikembangkan oleh Google.  Ini adalah salah satu dari dua aplikasi yang merupakan versi baru Google Hangouts, yang lainnya adalah Google Chat. Google berencana untuk mulai menghentikan versi Hangouts klasik pada Oktober 2019.

The COVID-19 pandemic has devastated students' lives in different ways, depending not only on their level and education, but also on where they have reached their programs. therefore, it is especially important to study the reforms of countries in the field of education management. Therefore, we must always be prepared for possible changes in education management during crises and be aware of changes in the education strategies of other countries. The Covid-19 period continues to be a period of learning difficulties for kindergartens, schools and universities.
In this study, the coronavirus epidemic also known as COVID-19, which has started to be seen widely and still continues as of November 2019 and its impacts on the education sector are analyzed. It is clear that just as each country's methods of dealing with COVID-19 differ, so does the country's education sector's adaptation to COVID-19, the strategies it implements, and the changes it makes in education management differ too. The main purpose of my research is to take a closer look at different education administrations from different parts of the world during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is considered a crisis period, to study its pros and cons, and to identify the most acceptable features for future possible crisis periods. In this regard, I tried to focus on Europe, Asia, America and separately examined the educational strategies and crisis management of countries such as Turkey, Italy, Japan, China, Canada, Hungary, Norway, Finland and others. The first part of my research includes observation method, which is part of the empirical method of perception, and the second part includes the collection and selection of facts and the analysis of the relationship between them.

To date, the issue of multilateral cooperation between Japan and Central Asian countries has not been widely covered by the international academic community. Indeed, the absence of this particular research casts doubt on the existence of initial publications about the presence of a full-fledged Japanese foreign policy strategy in Central Asia. Nowadays, in a narrow sense, the “Central Asia plus Japan” dialogue is
the only dialogue platform between Japan and Central Asia. The dialogue is also a unique example of how Japan and the Central Asian republics cooperate on critical issues of the regional and international agenda.
The present article is aimed at evaluating the current role of the“ Central Asia plus Japan” dialogue from the Japanese perspective. The goal is to examine the activities of the dialogue from 2004 to 2018, starting with key stages in the formation of Japanese strategy towards Central Asia (1991–2018), including those that led to the creation of the dialogue.
Constructivism is the primary theoretical framework used in this thesis, drawing on the sub-theory of “conference diplomacy” for a more in-depth analysis of the dialogue as a communication mechanism.
The research questions were answered by the author using discourse analysis and desk research of relevant documents belonging to the dialogue, including speeches, presentations and outcome documents. In addition, the author conducted several interviews with former officials and scholars who directly participated in the dialogue’s formation.
The uniqueness of the present work lies in the fact that the case of the “Central Asia plus Japan” dialogue has not been considered before in such detail. This study helps reveal the essence of the dialogue, including its principles and modus operandi. The author also could trace the process of the transformation of the dialogue and its perception from the Japanese perspective. Through this, the author found specific
“norms” which guide the multilateral nature of Central Asia–Japan cooperation.

The aim of writing this editorial article is to create awareness and knowledge especially among the young researchers who do not have much experience of publication or selection of International conference and end-up in the wrong place. In the result, I would say they will not only lose their money but the most valuable assets of their research which comes after months or years of effort, hardship and its extremely painful if end-up with the wrong journal or conference. I believe creating awareness and knowledge is tool to advise and suggest them in a better way. A robust self compacting concrete (SCC) is characterized by its flowability, passing ability and stability. Numerical simulation of SCC is a valuable tool, which can be used as a means to model and predict concrete workability and to tailor its rheological properties. The simulation of SCC flow could be used for obtaining optimum rheology of the mix to ensure its mobility and segregation resistance during placement. This paper presents the results of numerical simulation of SCC flow using a 2-D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) framework. The commercial CFD software ANSYS/FLUENT was used to perform 2-D simulation of slump flow and L-box tests. The Herschel-Bulkley viscosity model is used for modeling the behavior of fresh concrete. SCC mixes with silica fume as mineral additives was simulated. A good correlation between the numerical simulation and the experimental results is obtained.

The world needs to reduce its dependency on fossil fuel (non-renewable energy) as it is fast depleting and due to the harmful impact to the environment – most notably ‘Climate Change’. Therefore, Green Technology now becomes an even greater significance. We expect that academic scientists, leading engineers, industry researchers and scholar students would exchange and share their experiences and discuss research results on how we can survive and sustain in the future with green technology. The issues are not only about developing technologies, but also how to manage them properly in order to gain maximum benefit for the societies.

This volume contains papers accepted to The 3rd International Conference on Technology and Operations Management (ICTOM 2012) which themed Sustaining Competitiveness through Green Technology Management. The conference was held in East Hall – ITB and SBM-ITB (School of Business and Management – ITB) on July 4-6, 2012.

Nowadays, the entire world is experiencing very complex and chaotic economic situations. Despite the global economic slowdown, it is very encouraging for us to receive over than one hundred submissions from various countries, and accept less than three-fourth submitted papers written by one hundred forty-eight authors for oral presentation to share their knowledges. We are also very grateful for the acceptance of keynote speakerships by well-known senior researchers and international as well as regional practicioners in Technology and Operations Management discipline specifically in Green Technology Management area.

ICTOM 2012 was organized by SBM-ITB, especially Operations and Performance Management (OPM) Interest Group. This conference shows our third collaboration with the esteemed College of Business – Universiti Utara Malaysia. We have been successfully organized the previous conferences at West Hall ITB in 2006 and at Langkawi, Malaysia in 2010.

We hope that this 3rd scientific meeting forum could contribute to introduce and promote Technology and Operations Management especially in Indonesia, to open the way for possible collaboration between local and international academicians and practitioners to promote ITB, in particular SBM-ITB, as a world class university and as the leading higher institution in the field of technology and operations management.

On this occasion, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped in organizing this international conference and the preparation of proceedings. We also apologize for any shortcomings, both in the organizing of the conference and in the preparation of conference proceedings.

The Faculty of Law and Administrative Sciences from „Ștefan cel Mare“ University of Suceava, together with the Scientific Association of Law and Administration Suceava, the Faculty of Law of the National University “Yuriy Fedkovych” from Chernivtsi, Ukraina and Lumen Research Center in Social and Humanistic Sciences (Iasi), with the support of the Institute of Legal Research „Acad.Andrei Rădulescu” of the Romanian Academy and of Ecological University from Bucharest, will organize, between 17 and 19 June 2021, the International Scientific Conference ”Ethical and Social Dimensions in Public Administration & Law – 6th edition”.

This paper presents a fuzzy logic control for a speed control of DC induction motor. The simulation developed by using Fuzzy MATLAB Toolbox and SIMULINK. The fuzzy logic controller is also introduced to the system for keeping the motor speed to be constant when the load varies. Because of the low maintenance and robustness induction motors have many applications in the industries. The speed control of induction motor is more important to achieve maximum torque and efficiency. The result of the 3×3 matrix fuzzy control rules and 5×5 matrix fuzzy control rules of the theta and speed will do comparison in this paper. Observation the effects of the fuzzy control rules on the performance of the DC-induction motor-speed control.
